      @andersbs7370 so I was on lorazapam 5 months at 1.25 to 1mg. So that's why I am having severe withdrawal symptoms....the 11 weeks was horror. I now have windows. Large windows free....however super fragile....if I over do..I get over stimulated....and can't sleep...or calm down....so my neurons are still burnt to a crisp. I can't Imagine being on this for years.....far out my brain is damaged from 5 months....it'll been my 14th week....and I am changing ..however it's Been a horror movie. PAWS began akathesia 11 weeks straight Insomnia Diarrhoea Sick nausea Shakes Shaking Tremors Darkness in brain severe depression Wanted to suicide threw the withdrawal Made me suicidal my brain became so dark couldn't feel joy Then...on 12th week after having akathesia non stop 11 weeks I hit a wall the brain felt like a base ball bat hit the back of my brain......dead calm 11 days...serious pain in back of brain..... Then now have symptoms of the beginning in less severe 80% less. However I am super fragile...and climbing out of this is so so so slow.

    My observation is that there are several characteristics that work together here. Perhaps the reader can relate to this personally: 1. A mathematical/science mind which is naturally curious 2. High creativity and capacity, often called high intelligence, brilliance and/or giftedness 3. Lifelong agnostic and socialist minded views 4. Gender non-conformity 5. Quirkiness or social awkwardness 6. Being a highly sensitive person 7. A strong desire to do things your own way I hope that our collective understanding is heading towards seeing the whole person and away from identity labels like 'transgender' or 'on the spectrum'. These labels encourage othering, or the perception of We, the normal and Them, those that diverge from the group. Terms like 'neurotypical' and 'neurodivergent' create artificial barriers between people and should be eliminated from serious discourse.

    I get what your trying to do and I appreciate it but you don’t have to be nice to these people, at worst, they know it’s wrong but don’t care, at best, they think the chances of someone needing that space are low, either way they don’t deserve your kindness.

    • @jxdinglol
      @jxdinglol หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's all very backhanded kindness. The way he starts talking really slowly at times makes me think he's subliminally insulting their intelligence and shaming them for their ultra egotistical ways. It's subtle enough to be insulting, while simultaneously nice enough to maybe actually be productive and change minds. I'm sure it wasn't easy to make this video as nice as it was, but the balance is perfect imo.

    • @drjosh
      @drjosh 26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I was definitely not trying to be especially nice. These people are scummy and selfish, and I was frankly in some physical pain as I made the video after having had to find a further away parking spot.

    really helpful intro to this term! I was identified as a 'gifted' kid early on but not diagnosed with adhd until this years at age 40. understanding that my ability / desire to perform well academically shadowed over how difficult it sometimes was makes so much sense and rings very true for my experience. thanks for helping me understand my own mind better!

    My husband is autistic (I knew this before I married him, I love him as he is, and we suspect I have ADHD so I'm also likely neurodivergent) and sometimes he goes into a long story or a long discourse on something. I try to listen attentively as I know it's important to him, and to his credit he does try to keep it brief. I have reached a point where I'm able to recognize sometimes that he's kind of "on one" and just to let him do his thing until it's finished. I also recognize this kind of storytelling and persevering to be heard in myself - again, we suspect I have ADHD so I expect there's some overlap there.

  • @livenotbylies
    @livenotbylies หลายเดือนก่อน

    Plus perseverance itself. Autistic inertia. Autistic neurology leads directly to follow through. Once my story telling train is on the track, it kinda needs to get all the way down the line. If the listener loses interest, sorry, but we already committed

    Usually when someone even knows the word "masking" in this context, its because they are claiming some mental disorder that justifies a deviance from traditional healthy values like discipline or self control. "I cant be on time because I have adhd, and its oppressive to expect me to hide my executive dysfunction". The only evidence of the disorder is the refusal to "mask" a reflexive vice.

    I feel like adhd, pot is very subjective in experience. And will be different for everyone. Terps play a big role for sure in the effects, which are again dependent on individual biochemistry. More research should be done because I feel cannabis can be a very positive medicine for adults with adhd along with getting a better understanding of how their brains function* not *disfunction.

    I am definitely autistic according to this symptom, yet I have something to write about that because that is the only way I get to finish my thought before being interrupted. Sometimes walking away is exactly what people want to claim ignorance and shed their responsibility, like doctors and therapists. I write from experience when I write that writing doesn't help because they will ignore that too. My medical file is a CYA file. I write for my own sanity and my personal testimony. In desperate need to be accepted and do everything I can to improve myself; I started recording myself only to realise that people do EVERYTHING they accuse me of. Cutting me off and finishing my sentences in bad faith and demanding accountability for their projection! 'Ow so you think .....?! Or asking rhetorical question and demanding an answer Stupid me answering rhetorical questions. Not answering is seen as admission of guilt/ wrongdoing Doubting everything I say even though they have no idea what I am talking about ( I am sure it wasn't that bad/ I am sure there is a good reason for that) It could be a personal experience or something I have been studying/ following for the longest time. Knowing I am being bullied still rolling with the punches to avoid conflict. It doesn't the conflict is internalized. What kills me is the double standards because as soon as I call out someone, they rage, that is why I appease to my own determent, or they apologize but end the friendship. Since I am listening to the recordings, I see the gaslighting, the problem is healthcare providers who still can claim that I just refused help. I wish people would stop excusing medical neglect and gaslighting as miscommunications between two strangers in the night. I am talking about people I have been seeing for years with the same symptoms and see my returning to them with the same symptoms as a deviance. TLDR When trying to tell a story becomes an interrogation, walk away, just walk away. Record your healthcare providers with their consent.

    It's probably less prominent that it occurs than the perseverance when it occurs because as neurodivergents/autistic/ADHD people, it has been taught to us that it is rude or bad to share stories as a form of relating.
