Daredevil ended prematurely because of the whole Disney plus thing. They had daredevil planned out for at least 6 seasons. They clearly set up Bullseye to be the villain of season 4. I’m hoping this new show stays true to the character. Hoping the cast stays mostly the same. Bring back Wilson Bethel and Elodie Yung

Exactly! The other "street-level" shows like Hawkeye and Falcon & The Winter Soldier don't have the main characters interacting with regular civilians enough. Like, everyone has to be a spy or involved in the action somehow. But, in Daredevil, we have characters like Claire, Foggy and Karen that make the show much more grounded. I hope they bring back all those other characters and make the show feel like how it did on Netflix! :D
@@Machuw Yh man their chemistry was so well done in Netflix’s run. In Hawkeye they definitely watered down Fisk. That could be due to the age rating of course. Which I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t scared for the future of characters like Daredevil, Punisher ect. I also feel like if they were to ever introduce Punisher or even Deadpool that they would like to have some sort of groundwork that sets the parameters of something that’s 18 ( R ) rated.

Yh Fox Has made Deadpool R rated but I’m just curious how Disney will now handle that level of intensity. I just hope they can do justice to these characters. Like imagine Deadpool chopping ppls limbs off along side Spider-Man.

@TheRationallNational I'll say yeah it would be a disservice, but he been in some spider-man cartoons before and it worked without the mature rating I'm sure they can work their way around with the killing similar to moon knight instead of showing graphic headshots or scenes like the fight in the gym in season 2 of punisher or the prison hallway fight in daredevil season 2
I strongly agree with all of your points here.Every single one to me is bang on. Though this is a very unpopular opinion but I low key hate that Wilson Fisk is back as the main Villain.Fisk was a perfect villain in Season 1 and 3 and Matt's victory at the end against Fisk felt so grand and earned, still stands as my favourite mcu scene.The scene was the perfect conclusion with Matt and Fisk's rivalry so him returning doesn't sit right (especially after that embarrassing mockery in Hawkeye.) I'm worried that Fisk is only returning for the sake for bringing attention to the series and to bring more of the audience back as he was incredible in the Netflix Series.If Fisk's appearence in Hawkeye is what we will get going forward then I wish we never got the series back at all because that version of the character fails to be anything like the one from the netflix series.I would have honestly preferred if they left Fisk with the ending he got and decided to focus Bullyseye (Despite he has seemingly been forgetten about despite been set up in Season 3) or other villains. Overall I hope Fisk keeps all the traits that made him amazing and I hope his return is purposeful and impactful without disrespecting the masterpiece of an ending which is Daredevil Season 3
You know, while that is probably unpopular, I totally understand and even agree a bit. I think the way Fisk was handled in Hawkeye was kind of awful. They removed most of his nuance in favor of making him bad guy#54 in the MCU; he's basically just a dumb brute and that's it. If that's any indication of his character in the future, then I'd wish I'd never have gotten it either. At least the actor brings the same cadence to the character as the Netflix version though. I'm just a little more hopeful since it seems like he's going to be top-billing in that show instead of being shoe-horned till the end of the show. I hope they also continue the Bullseye storyline bc that was perfect! Loved reading your thoughts as always man!
@@Machuw Thanks, I was thinking about how much a disappointment Hawkeye and Moonknight were and thought how much cooler it would have been if they merged both shows into a 12 episode defenders/midnight sons series set during the 5 year period. Have the main characters be Daredevil, Punisher, Moonknight, Hawkeye and maybe even Luke Cage and Jessica Jones (Who are both ridiculously underrated and ate perfect castings; Jessica Jones S1 is also top tier with Daredevil) The series would have insane potential if it had the same style as the netflix series with the aftermath of the snap as the premise

Well, it seems that according to Daniel Richtman a very reliable marvel insider has just confirmed that Daredevil born again will be TV-MA. When you pair this with the rumors that Jon Bernthal will be returning as the punisher and him only wanting to return if they kept the character “at a level of darkness”, it looks like that born again will not hold back on its dark tone and brutality
Yeah, I saw that! I hope it's true, and they really commit their all to this. I'm still really skeptical about the writing though :/ but we'll see what they do with it.
@@Machuw and based on where this is going, everyone saw Matt was a lot more light hearted in she hulk because he doesn’t have to worry about kingpin and his loved ones being in constant danger, but when echo comes around and he has to face kingpin again, that’s where Matt’s life takes a dark turn, and then in born again, he has to put most of the quips aside and officially become daredevil again (hence the title, daredevil born again). I love how they’re making Matt’s journey in the MCU go from light hearted, to progressively dark after every appearance
I’ll stay pessimistic till I’m given a reason to be optimistic about the show. I’d rather judge the show after it’s complete but by then the hype to talk about it for marvel shows dies as seen from previous ones. If it’s good, I’ll take back my words but I’ll stay weary until then and not have my hopes up only for my expectations to not be met. Love your reviews and so happy to see that you’re back. Totally get that! It's prob for the best just based on the marvel shows track records tbh, but I'm with you on staying pessimistic. Daredevil mostly fits TV-MA. I know people like to point out the waid run but most DD writers always write his stories as a gritty crime thriller, even some before frank miller realize he fits best as a pulp noir superhero. Hell's Kitchen in both the show and the comics is a corrupt and violent place and should always be presented as such. The violence isnt there to be edgy or cool it actually serves a purpose to the story and world of matt murdock. Like how the murders of his loved ones drove him damn near unhinged during the bendis and brubaker runs. Plus most of his villains need that MA rating to show how brutal and unhinged they are, which i hope we get with typhoid mary someday. I guess TV-14 DD is possible but considering there is only like 20 characters or teams in marvel that actually demand a R or MA rating (which isnt that much) and your standard MCU TV-14 or PG-13 show or movie doesn't even come close to the tone that The Batman has then i rather them just go full on R Rated. Plus considering the fact that Marvel Zombies, which is a disney plus original show is getting a MA rating, they really have no reason to not give Daredevil a MA rating anymore.
Yes you’re back! No one has been talking about my favorite show of all time and the huge news. I was so excited at first, then I thought about it rationally and thought, “please don’t Disney-fy it or do injustice to such an iconic show.” I was bummed that DD was cancelled, but I was so satisfied with the way s3 was in its entirety and the ending. I was so confused when I was watched the hot mess of a show they call Hawkeye I didn’t even think it was the same Fisk/Kingpin and had to look it up because I was genuinely confused. I hope they bring a few of the original characters, like Karen and Foggy. I mean, we at least need to see if they made the napkin into a plaque.
Completely agree! I was a little shocked how they handled Fisk in Hawkeye. It was so weird seeing him get blown up by a dozen arrows, shot in the face and hit by a car. They turned such a fascinating character into some big dumb brute. I'm really hoping they don't Disney-fy it either and that the same mature quality is retained! I think it'd also be weird if Karen and Foggy didn't return despite Matt and Fisk coming back, so fingers crossed they cast them back! Yay, good to see you back! I really am excited to see how they handle Daredevil, but you are right that we want Daredevil too be leaft as a good thing and not be ruined.
I share the same issue with the 6 episode Disney+ shows but couldn't really articulate the problems I had other than "they felt bad" so thanks for helping me understand how I felt. I think ultimately I am cautiously optimistic. Someone said how we shouldn't expect the same quality from the Netflix version, we can just separate them and hope the next iteration is great too but one doesn't define the other. I really resonate with that and it helps me not fear the new DD will drag the other one down if I don't like it. I think it's clear to me (especially after She Hulk) it's going to be mostly new stuff. I want the original actors to be back, I want the writers and to continue the story (heck get this I want all The Defenders back! Yes even Iron fist... S2 was great) but ultimately I will take what we get all I can do is hope I like it. I am glad it's not 6 episodes but I agree the amount is scary, I don't think many show work well with that many episodes personally, I really don't hope it ends up being like Arrow or other CW shows.. Yikes that would be bad. But yeah I am willing to be open minded.
Yeah, the episode count does remind me of Arrow and The Flash, which is worrisome. I am pretty scared due to the changes that they will inevitably make, but like you, I will try to remain cautiously optimistic.
I reeeeeaaaaally wish I didn't agree with you here because I want it to be good so bad, but I've also found phase 4 to be.... disappointing. If I'm honest, NWH is the only MCU project in the past year that didn't go below my expectations. Like, I'm comparing how the Punisher was set up in season 2 vs how Echo was set up in Hawkeye (as antagonists who then team up with the hero at the end and then get their own spin-off show later), and while I do find the premise of Echo's character to be super interesting, it's a real shame she wasn't handled as well as Frank in terms of character development and scenes like the cemetery scene in which the actress really got a moment to shine and get the audience attached to her. Don't get me wrong, I'll watch the Echo show, but it's more because I WANT to care about Echo than watching it because I already care about Echo (and I'll be watching it for DD, obviously). It's great to see you back! Don't feel bad about not making content for the past 7 months, things have been so hectic lately and there's no shame in putting yourself and your mental health before your channel ❤
Yeah, completely agree! NWH is the only phase 4 thing I've actually loved. Comparing how Punisher is setup to Echo in Hawkeye is a really good comparison! I wish that's how the MCU approached setting up any character for a spin-off show. I don't really know too much about Echo other than what I saw in Hawkeye, but like you, I'll watch it because I want to care about Echo instead of already caring about her. I Marvel has seen some of the critques to their shows and try to implement some changes to them cause Phase 4 was... not too great haha. @@Machuw I don't know if you saw, but apparently Deadpool 3 is slated to be released early 2024, and Daredevi: Born Again is set to be released spring 2024. We know DP3 is going to be rated R, so my silly little brain is hoping that it's deliberately set before DD to prep the MCU audience for more mature media. I know it will *probably* be rated PG-13, but a girl can read the tea leaves and hope

Agents of Shield does 20 episodes a season in later seasons, but they divide the season up into 2 arcs, instead of dragging out a single villain or plot arc. I imagine that Daredevil may do the same. Also, the fact that every past Disney show has been 6 episodes but Daredevil has been 18, tells me that they know that they *can't* mess this up.
Yeah, the fact that they're comfortable making it 18 when everything else has been six episodes is somewhat telling that they have a good story reason for doing it, which is something I forgot to mention in the video. Maybe they'll do two 9 episode arcs or something like that so it's not so dragged on, but we'll see!
If I was writing/coming up with ideas, I would go with a happier daredevil. We've seen Matt at his worst in season 3 but we haven't gotten a happier more wacky daredevil (such as with mark waid runs). I know all the people who love the show (and haven't read a single daredevil comic) would get mad but why would you attempt a darker daredevil if you don't know how to do it.
Yeah, I don't know if I would want a wacky Daredevil, but a happier one I'm totally down for. Each season seems to try to put him at the lowest point of his life, and it'd be nice to see him be happy about being Daredevil and not have his life completely in shambles, like how it was in season 3.
@@Machuw Yeah when I meant wacky I was talking about how we don't see some of the more performative parts of Matt. Mat can be loud and take a massive presence in the room but the daredevil show takes a much more quiet version of Matt. Which is fine just saying it seems with no way home thats the version of Mat they're going for.
Yeah... I'm guessing Marvel just wants a completely fresh idea, and maybe the writers moved onto other projects. But I wish they found a way to bring them back anyway :/

That's totally possible! A lot of people were suggesting that they were gonna split this up into separate arcs so it's just not one long story, so we'll see!
Seeing that suit in the She-Hulk trailer already had me worried... the suit looks like any other organic MCU character suit, like John Walker's cap in TFATWS, and that bothers me because we have had a whole arc of his suit in previous seasons and that doesn't look practical at all, dude is not invincible, he takes a lot of hits and damages. And what's with the yellow outline
Yeah, it already kinda looked like they used CGI on Daredevil and... ugh :/ I agree too that I don't want his suit to be beefed up. A big part of his character is that he gets beat up constantly, but never stays down.
The Yellow accents just make it look goody as hell for a character that’s supposed to be serious. Yh man. I would have preferred him to wear his black suit As an intro to Daredevil and his reasoning for the black suit, would be that he’s still trying to get his name out of the dirt from what Bullseye did. It would also explain why he took Spidy’s case in NWH cause it was so similar to him. It would have been cool to see the Black Suit, as it was the first suit he wore in S1 and final suit he wore in S3 of Daredevil. And it would be a nice introduction.
you must have never seen his first suit he wore in the comics. The red suit is not his first suit and the suit in the She-hulk trailer is basically the same suit from Netflix just with yellow

I think people are kinda overreacting to any change they might make. It’s not going for Frank Miller’s run it’s going more so for DD yellow and will work it’s way to Miller’s DD. Ofc the tone will be different. I don’t need them to have the same tone, just make it good. Also when they teased bullseye for S4 i was hyped until I remembered they canceled the show. Thing is, I don’t think they should’ve teased S4. S3 felt like a great ending for the show until bullseye woke up. There’s also so much you can do with DD finishing off Bullseye with 13 hour long eps. Plus there’s only so many times you can have Matt contemplate murder before it gets too repetitive. Still wish they would’ve let them make one last season, hell 3-4 episodes could’ve done it, a movie would’ve done the job.
Yeah, I totally get what you mean. Season 3 really did finish things off well despite that having some loose threads like Bullseye. The fact that season 3 is such a great ending does remove some of my reservations about a soft reboot for Born again though. I would ultimately prefer it if the tone were the same, but I could be proven wrong. Experimenting is a good idea, aI just don't want them to lose the essence of what made the show great in the first place.

Good question! I.. am a little conflicted about seeing him in She-Hulk. I realize comic Daredevil is more acrobatic, but the Netflix one wasn't that acrobatic; he just felt like a normal dude. I don't like how superhero-like he felt in She-hulk, but I mostly liked what they did with him. How did you like him?
@@Machuw I agree with you that it was a bit off putting seeing him do as many flips as he did but he had to "level up" to go toe to toe with she hulk. His fight scenes felt more like daredevil at his peak while in the show it was cool to see a grounded guy punching up instead of down, hopefully its just because he is a cameo they want to show him at his best. I like that Charlie Cox is still killing it as Matt and for me that is all that matters, but his overall fit in the she hulk was off to me the whole time. She hulk bragging about getting with Matt was weird to me as well. I'm still excited for the show but I don't think it will be like the first three seasons. I'm more excited to see how they use him in spiderman freshman year the animated mcu spiderman show.

Yeah, I honestly don't know because season 3 did adapt a lot of it I heard. I think it's mainly just there for a cheeky title because he's being rebooted and brought into the MCU. Marvel only loosely adapts comics anyway besides Hawkeye.

Yeah, gosh, I forgot to talk about the episode lengths... That's such an annoying part of the Disney+ shows, sometimes we'll only have 35 minute episodes. I can only imagine the episode lengths for a total of 18 episodes... But yeah, Covert Affairs is definitely not Daredevil quality, but the Russo Bros. mainly did sitcom episodes, but were capabale of doing Avengers and the Captain America movies which makes me think these writers were picked for a reason. I take films as they come the infinity saga was laid out in a color by numbers scenario but phase 4 alone has been going on almost 2 years, kinda how noone caught the 10 rings organization being intricate in iron man 1 only for them to show back up in shang chi. I always look way beyond whats being shown, its a lot of moving parts now, cosmic hero’s, street level heroes, the young avengers, thunderbolts, possible midnight sons, its not going to be just watch a movie and know whats going to happen next. Im just going to enjoy the films lol. But i subbed you have a great channel

Though this is a very unpopular opinion but I low key hate that Wilson Fisk is back as the main Villain.Fisk was a perfect villain in Season 1 and 3 and Matt's victory at the end against Fisk felt so grand and earned, still stands as my favourite mcu scene.The scene was the perfect conclusion with Matt and Fisk's rivalry so him returning doesn't sit right (especially after that embarrassing mockery in Hawkeye.)
I'm worried that Fisk is only returning for the sake for bringing attention to the series and to bring more of the audience back as he was incredible in the Netflix Series.If Fisk's appearence in Hawkeye is what we will get going forward then I wish we never got the series back at all because that version of the character fails to be anything like the one from the netflix series.I would have honestly preferred if they left Fisk with the ending he got and decided to focus Bullyseye (Despite he has seemingly been forgetten about despite been set up in Season 3) or other villains.
Overall I hope Fisk keeps all the traits that made him amazing and I hope his return is purposeful and impactful without disrespecting the masterpiece of an ending which is Daredevil Season 3
You know, while that is probably unpopular, I totally understand and even agree a bit. I think the way Fisk was handled in Hawkeye was kind of awful. They removed most of his nuance in favor of making him bad guy#54 in the MCU; he's basically just a dumb brute and that's it. If that's any indication of his character in the future, then I'd wish I'd never have gotten it either. At least the actor brings the same cadence to the character as the Netflix version though. I'm just a little more hopeful since it seems like he's going to be top-billing in that show instead of being shoe-horned till the end of the show. I hope they also continue the Bullseye storyline bc that was perfect! Loved reading your thoughts as always man!
@@Machuw Thanks, I was thinking about how much a disappointment Hawkeye and Moonknight were and thought how much cooler it would have been if they merged both shows into a 12 episode defenders/midnight sons series set during the 5 year period.
Have the main characters be Daredevil, Punisher, Moonknight, Hawkeye and maybe even Luke Cage and Jessica Jones (Who are both ridiculously underrated and ate perfect castings; Jessica Jones S1 is also top tier with Daredevil) The series would have insane potential if it had the same style as the netflix series with the aftermath of the snap as the premise

Well, it seems that according to Daniel Richtman a very reliable marvel insider has just confirmed that Daredevil born again will be TV-MA. When you pair this with the rumors that Jon Bernthal will be returning as the punisher and him only wanting to return if they kept the character “at a level of darkness”, it looks like that born again will not hold back on its dark tone and brutality
Yeah, I saw that! I hope it's true, and they really commit their all to this. I'm still really skeptical about the writing though :/ but we'll see what they do with it.
@@Machuw and based on where this is going, everyone saw Matt was a lot more light hearted in she hulk because he doesn’t have to worry about kingpin and his loved ones being in constant danger, but when echo comes around and he has to face kingpin again, that’s where Matt’s life takes a dark turn, and then in born again, he has to put most of the quips aside and officially become daredevil again (hence the title, daredevil born again). I love how they’re making Matt’s journey in the MCU go from light hearted, to progressively dark after every appearance

I’ll stay pessimistic till I’m given a reason to be optimistic about the show. I’d rather judge the show after it’s complete but by then the hype to talk about it for marvel shows dies as seen from previous ones. If it’s good, I’ll take back my words but I’ll stay weary until then and not have my hopes up only for my expectations to not be met. Love your reviews and so happy to see that you’re back. Totally get that! It's prob for the best just based on the marvel shows track records tbh, but I'm with you on staying pessimistic. Daredevil mostly fits TV-MA. I know people like to point out the waid run but most DD writers always write his stories as a gritty crime thriller, even some before frank miller realize he fits best as a pulp noir superhero. Hell's Kitchen in both the show and the comics is a corrupt and violent place and should always be presented as such. The violence isnt there to be edgy or cool it actually serves a purpose to the story and world of matt murdock. Like how the murders of his loved ones drove him damn near unhinged during the bendis and brubaker runs. Plus most of his villains need that MA rating to show how brutal and unhinged they are, which i hope we get with typhoid mary someday. I guess TV-14 DD is possible but considering there is only like 20 characters or teams in marvel that actually demand a R or MA rating (which isnt that much) and your standard MCU TV-14 or PG-13 show or movie doesn't even come close to the tone that The Batman has then i rather them just go full on R Rated.
Plus considering the fact that Marvel Zombies, which is a disney plus original show is getting a MA rating, they really have no reason to not give Daredevil a MA rating anymore.
Yes you’re back! No one has been talking about my favorite show of all time and the huge news. I was so excited at first, then I thought about it rationally and thought, “please don’t Disney-fy it or do injustice to such an iconic show.” I was bummed that DD was cancelled, but I was so satisfied with the way s3 was in its entirety and the ending. I was so confused when I was watched the hot mess of a show they call Hawkeye I didn’t even think it was the same Fisk/Kingpin and had to look it up because I was genuinely confused. I hope they bring a few of the original characters, like Karen and Foggy. I mean, we at least need to see if they made the napkin into a plaque.
Completely agree! I was a little shocked how they handled Fisk in Hawkeye. It was so weird seeing him get blown up by a dozen arrows, shot in the face and hit by a car. They turned such a fascinating character into some big dumb brute. I'm really hoping they don't Disney-fy it either and that the same mature quality is retained! I think it'd also be weird if Karen and Foggy didn't return despite Matt and Fisk coming back, so fingers crossed they cast them back! I share the same issue with the 6 episode Disney+ shows but couldn't really articulate the problems I had other than "they felt bad" so thanks for helping me understand how I felt.
I think ultimately I am cautiously optimistic. Someone said how we shouldn't expect the same quality from the Netflix version, we can just separate them and hope the next iteration is great too but one doesn't define the other. I really resonate with that and it helps me not fear the new DD will drag the other one down if I don't like it.
I think it's clear to me (especially after She Hulk) it's going to be mostly new stuff. I want the original actors to be back, I want the writers and to continue the story (heck get this I want all The Defenders back! Yes even Iron fist... S2 was great) but ultimately I will take what we get all I can do is hope I like it.
I am glad it's not 6 episodes but I agree the amount is scary, I don't think many show work well with that many episodes personally, I really don't hope it ends up being like Arrow or other CW shows.. Yikes that would be bad. But yeah I am willing to be open minded.
Yeah, the episode count does remind me of Arrow and The Flash, which is worrisome. I am pretty scared due to the changes that they will inevitably make, but like you, I will try to remain cautiously optimistic.

I reeeeeaaaaally wish I didn't agree with you here because I want it to be good so bad, but I've also found phase 4 to be.... disappointing. If I'm honest, NWH is the only MCU project in the past year that didn't go below my expectations. Like, I'm comparing how the Punisher was set up in season 2 vs how Echo was set up in Hawkeye (as antagonists who then team up with the hero at the end and then get their own spin-off show later), and while I do find the premise of Echo's character to be super interesting, it's a real shame she wasn't handled as well as Frank in terms of character development and scenes like the cemetery scene in which the actress really got a moment to shine and get the audience attached to her. Don't get me wrong, I'll watch the Echo show, but it's more because I WANT to care about Echo than watching it because I already care about Echo (and I'll be watching it for DD, obviously).

Yeah, completely agree! NWH is the only phase 4 thing I've actually loved. Comparing how Punisher is setup to Echo in Hawkeye is a really good comparison! I wish that's how the MCU approached setting up any character for a spin-off show. I don't really know too much about Echo other than what I saw in Hawkeye, but like you, I'll watch it because I want to care about Echo instead of already caring about her. I Marvel has seen some of the critques to their shows and try to implement some changes to them cause Phase 4 was... not too great haha.

@@Machuw I don't know if you saw, but apparently Deadpool 3 is slated to be released early 2024, and Daredevi: Born Again is set to be released spring 2024. We know DP3 is going to be rated R, so my silly little brain is hoping that it's deliberately set before DD to prep the MCU audience for more mature media.
I know it will *probably* be rated PG-13, but a girl can read the tea leaves and hope

Agents of Shield does 20 episodes a season in later seasons, but they divide the season up into 2 arcs, instead of dragging out a single villain or plot arc. I imagine that Daredevil may do the same. Also, the fact that every past Disney show has been 6 episodes but Daredevil has been 18, tells me that they know that they *can't* mess this up.
Yeah, the fact that they're comfortable making it 18 when everything else has been six episodes is somewhat telling that they have a good story reason for doing it, which is something I forgot to mention in the video. Maybe they'll do two 9 episode arcs or something like that so it's not so dragged on, but we'll see!
If I was writing/coming up with ideas, I would go with a happier daredevil. We've seen Matt at his worst in season 3 but we haven't gotten a happier more wacky daredevil (such as with mark waid runs). I know all the people who love the show (and haven't read a single daredevil comic) would get mad but why would you attempt a darker daredevil if you don't know how to do it.
Yeah, I don't know if I would want a wacky Daredevil, but a happier one I'm totally down for. Each season seems to try to put him at the lowest point of his life, and it'd be nice to see him be happy about being Daredevil and not have his life completely in shambles, like how it was in season 3.
@@Machuw Yeah when I meant wacky I was talking about how we don't see some of the more performative parts of Matt. Mat can be loud and take a massive presence in the room but the daredevil show takes a much more quiet version of Matt. Which is fine just saying it seems with no way home thats the version of Mat they're going for.

Seeing that suit in the She-Hulk trailer already had me worried... the suit looks like any other organic MCU character suit, like John Walker's cap in TFATWS, and that bothers me because we have had a whole arc of his suit in previous seasons and that doesn't look practical at all, dude is not invincible, he takes a lot of hits and damages. And what's with the yellow outline

Yeah, it already kinda looked like they used CGI on Daredevil and... ugh :/ I agree too that I don't want his suit to be beefed up. A big part of his character is that he gets beat up constantly, but never stays down.

As an intro to Daredevil and his reasoning for the black suit, would be that he’s still trying to get his name out of the dirt from what Bullseye did.
It would also explain why he took Spidy’s case in NWH cause it was so similar to him.
It would have been cool to see the Black Suit, as it was the first suit he wore in S1 and final suit he wore in S3 of Daredevil. And it would be a nice introduction.

I think people are kinda overreacting to any change they might make. It’s not going for Frank Miller’s run it’s going more so for DD yellow and will work it’s way to Miller’s DD. Ofc the tone will be different. I don’t need them to have the same tone, just make it good. Also when they teased bullseye for S4 i was hyped until I remembered they canceled the show. Thing is, I don’t think they should’ve teased S4. S3 felt like a great ending for the show until bullseye woke up. There’s also so much you can do with DD finishing off Bullseye with 13 hour long eps. Plus there’s only so many times you can have Matt contemplate murder before it gets too repetitive. Still wish they would’ve let them make one last season, hell 3-4 episodes could’ve done it, a movie would’ve done the job.
Yeah, I totally get what you mean. Season 3 really did finish things off well despite that having some loose threads like Bullseye. The fact that season 3 is such a great ending does remove some of my reservations about a soft reboot for Born again though. I would ultimately prefer it if the tone were the same, but I could be proven wrong. Experimenting is a good idea, aI just don't want them to lose the essence of what made the show great in the first place.

Good question! I.. am a little conflicted about seeing him in She-Hulk. I realize comic Daredevil is more acrobatic, but the Netflix one wasn't that acrobatic; he just felt like a normal dude. I don't like how superhero-like he felt in She-hulk, but I mostly liked what they did with him. How did you like him?
@@Machuw I agree with you that it was a bit off putting seeing him do as many flips as he did but he had to "level up" to go toe to toe with she hulk. His fight scenes felt more like daredevil at his peak while in the show it was cool to see a grounded guy punching up instead of down, hopefully its just because he is a cameo they want to show him at his best. I like that Charlie Cox is still killing it as Matt and for me that is all that matters, but his overall fit in the she hulk was off to me the whole time. She hulk bragging about getting with Matt was weird to me as well. I'm still excited for the show but I don't think it will be like the first three seasons. I'm more excited to see how they use him in spiderman freshman year the animated mcu spiderman show.

Yeah, I honestly don't know because season 3 did adapt a lot of it I heard. I think it's mainly just there for a cheeky title because he's being rebooted and brought into the MCU. Marvel only loosely adapts comics anyway besides Hawkeye.

Yeah, gosh, I forgot to talk about the episode lengths... That's such an annoying part of the Disney+ shows, sometimes we'll only have 35 minute episodes. I can only imagine the episode lengths for a total of 18 episodes... But yeah, Covert Affairs is definitely not Daredevil quality, but the Russo Bros. mainly did sitcom episodes, but were capabale of doing Avengers and the Captain America movies which makes me think these writers were picked for a reason. I take films as they come the infinity saga was laid out in a color by numbers scenario but phase 4 alone has been going on almost 2 years, kinda how noone caught the 10 rings organization being intricate in iron man 1 only for them to show back up in shang chi. I always look way beyond whats being shown, its a lot of moving parts now, cosmic hero’s, street level heroes, the young avengers, thunderbolts, possible midnight sons, its not going to be just watch a movie and know whats going to happen next.
