Rahu in 4th house in rahu nakshatra, I'm a fairly successful, self made landlord. My dad was a construction worker for the government my whole life. I tried to convince him to work for himself during my adolescence and early adulthood. He rather would have a safe job. As soon as I got a chance, I started buying properties to renovate. That's what I think rahu did for me in the 4th house.
I think Rahu and Ketu are one of those celestial beings that rely heavily on the sign they are in, vs. the house to know what kind of result it will give. Because they take on the energy and element of the signs and ruling planets.

Interesting explanation for Rahu in the 5th house, because someone once told me I'd have 5 children. Currently in my mid-30s, single and without kids. However, I did undergo oocyte cryopreservation procedure to save/freeze my eggs preventatively for the future, so technically I do have 16 eggs or "children" for now. So I can see how this placement would seem contradictory. Also, there is a saying in Mandarin that is almost exactly the same as "Speaks from the nose", in Mandarin it means speaking with an air of arrogance, pride.

I suspect that it works like a circle. Once you master so to speak or face the challenges of your Rahu position you are then allowed access to the gifts of your Ketu position. Since that is what you developed in the past.

The APC and Sunshine house system have house cusps that are not exactly 180 from each other so the nodes can be in non-opposing houses. There are 12 individual cusps as these house systems modify to some extent acc to daylight hours as I understand it and have more of a relationship to Sect. Re dominance of Rahu vs Ketu, another idea is to look at their rulers and how they work in the chart. Which ruler is heavily aspected? Which ruler has essential or accidental dignity? That would accentuate Rahu or Ketu. Leo/Aquarius nodal axis - Look at how the Sun and Saturn are placed. That will suggest something about Rahu vs Ketu's strength. etc The same for all the sign pairs.
Hi Vic, from what I know about rahu and ketu, I may be wrong, but they deal with time, ketu being more dominant early in life and rahu at the latter end (mars/saturn). for example with ketu in the 5th, "troubled by devils/bad intellect", could lay the foundation of rahu in the 11th, "beautiful/wealthy" because they want that friend group, wealth and power for making up for their bad intellect. Also with stomach issues/long life to do with a stricter diet at a later age etc. Anyways thanks for the vids.

Good advice on interpreting as a spice that goes into the overall cake or dish. And it definitely makes more sense to look at how other planets impact it. Someone could have either of these in a good house, but if the bad house is having a bigger impact from planetary aspects, then I would imagine the beneficial house wouldn’t bring as much as another chart. And if it is right on the cusp, do you look at the previous house, also? I mean it gives maximum impact to the house it’s moving into, but does it still have a lot of flavors from the previous house? Cusp in whole sign system is not the border of the house. the border is defined by the sign. The cusp is the most house-sensitive point (house-defining) in the sign.
I took an interest with someone who I think has Rahu in the 2nd. I wrote him poetry for years, after he announced he had Parkinson's disease. He never replied. After I stopped, he made his colleague appeal to the public: "Please don't stop writing. He loves you passionately. Your letters mean the world to him." I continued, but still he won't reply. What transpired was that he got plastic surgery - to mask his Parkinson's mask... he basically looked like Madonna, only to make a few stage appearances while he still could. He played extreme heavy metal.

Dhatu Hani means loss of virality, it is referring to the female (or human) discharge probably. Yes, that contains minerals, that is why it is called "Dhatu", which literally means "minerals".
Outside of chapters titled like "specifically for women" almost nothing in classical language is phrased from female perspective. However, i think it is gender neutral to interpret Dhatu hani as "loss of strength" because (a) dhatu implies strength (as "stone / steel" would in english), it also implies nutrients (as in "vitamins and minerals").
I have Rahu in the 5th house Sag, I have two kids but live far from them, i also had endometriosis and a hysterctomy at 28 so its right on target with reproductive system.
I haven't watched the part where you reveal your solution to the seeming disparity and disconnection between the interpretation of the placement of Rahu and Ketu as a pair- but it seems to me that the seeming contradiction is no contradiction at all, but rather, showing us some secret interrelationships between boons and positive traits and shortcomings and negative ones, which have converse relationships and play tug of war in a certain sense- in other words, if Ketu has a positive placement, and Rahu and Ketu are balanced with eachother, the positive traits will be brought out. For instance, regarding Rahu in the 12th, "hiding ill deeds" might very well just mean that one is sensitive about one's own mistakes and flaws... and conversely also that one could be overly honest about these things. As a Rahu 12th house person, I have gone in both directions. The Ketu 6th house being given such a positive interpretation actually makes sense, as one may find success both through being very honest and expressive and demonstrative, or, through concealing one's flaws. Likewise, if one spends a great deal, as the 12th house Rahu is said to, this could either cause failure or signify the making of good investments that bring a return!

I don't see any conundrum of Rahu having a 'positive/negative' connotation while Ketu the opposite. It's very simple. Both get played out in their Maha Dashas respectively. It's not different than another planet being well placed while another not - And during both of those planets Maha Dashas, the qualities get played out. Has one never known someone who did a 180 turn sometime in their life, going from good to bad or vice versa? I have.

I literally need to take 2 to 3 times the RDA of Magnesium a day and have had health and bowel problems a long time, but they are getting better with supplementation of trace minerals. Sometimes I wonder if taking care of these things may help with other aspects of ketus indications. Anyway, thank you for these discourses and translations. I am learning a lot from them. I do have one question (I was unable to catch the whole live for the end): If rahu in 1st is receiving an aspect from bruhaspati, would that maybe alleviate the negative effects on the person's health?

As for the conundrum regarding Rahu being 'bad' in a certain house while Ketu is 'good' in the opposite house (or vice versa), I posit that both can appear to be 'true' at the same time simply because Rahu and Ketu is about perceptions held by the public about the native, regardless of the reality. An illustrative example that has recently been quite topical, is the case of Johnny Depp. He has Rahu in 12th and Ketu in 6th. And over the last decade, it can be argued that public perceptions about the man can be found in the description for Rahu in 12th and more recently Ketu in 12th. And still now, it can be seen that both perceptions continue to coexist regardless of what has transpired (trials, revelations, etc) thus I posit that Rahu-Ketu represents 'polarized perceptions that co-exist' regardless of actual reality. And the perceptions themselves can be (is most likely) quite illusory.
idgi if anything Rahu is the antithesis of Saturn, one expands the other contracts. And Ketu the antithesis for Mars, one goes for it pedal to the medal, the other abdicates it altogether.
I speak against patriarchy, if that counts. I dnt think ill be able to control myself in that aspects. My beliefs in this domain is kinda strong. Enough to nt flinch. I have rahu 12, 4 degrees before asc, ketu 6th. I do hidden things, but not really negative things. When I donate to anything or anyone, I do so privately. I do charity quietly. I don't desire attention or praise. Maybe a different way of thinking about Rahu in 12th. Maybe not just "ill" deeds but deeds in general- or could be other aspects in my chart personally which change it too. Especially when good character comes with Ketu in 6th.

I have Rahu in libra with mars in the 10th. I have been rushed in where angels fear to tread but I do pull it off as in I get what I planned and worked for. Interesting explanation for Rahu in the 5th house, because someone once told me I'd have 5 children. Currently in my mid-30s, single and without kids. However, I did undergo oocyte cryopreservation procedure to save/freeze my eggs preventatively for the future, so technically I do have 16 eggs or "children" for now. So I can see how this placement would seem contradictory. Also, there is a saying in Mandarin that is almost exactly the same as "Speaks from the nose", in Mandarin it means speaking with an air of arrogance, pride.

I suspect that it works like a circle. Once you master so to speak or face the challenges of your Rahu position you are then allowed access to the gifts of your Ketu position. Since that is what you developed in the past.

The APC and Sunshine house system have house cusps that are not exactly 180 from each other so the nodes can be in non-opposing houses. There are 12 individual cusps as these house systems modify to some extent acc to daylight hours as I understand it and have more of a relationship to Sect. Re dominance of Rahu vs Ketu, another idea is to look at their rulers and how they work in the chart. Which ruler is heavily aspected? Which ruler has essential or accidental dignity? That would accentuate Rahu or Ketu. Leo/Aquarius nodal axis - Look at how the Sun and Saturn are placed. That will suggest something about Rahu vs Ketu's strength. etc The same for all the sign pairs.
Hi Vic, from what I know about rahu and ketu, I may be wrong, but they deal with time, ketu being more dominant early in life and rahu at the latter end (mars/saturn). for example with ketu in the 5th, "troubled by devils/bad intellect", could lay the foundation of rahu in the 11th, "beautiful/wealthy" because they want that friend group, wealth and power for making up for their bad intellect. Also with stomach issues/long life to do with a stricter diet at a later age etc. Anyways thanks for the vids.

Good advice on interpreting as a spice that goes into the overall cake or dish. And it definitely makes more sense to look at how other planets impact it. Someone could have either of these in a good house, but if the bad house is having a bigger impact from planetary aspects, then I would imagine the beneficial house wouldn’t bring as much as another chart.
And if it is right on the cusp, do you look at the previous house, also? I mean it gives maximum impact to the house it’s moving into, but does it still have a lot of flavors from the previous house?

Cusp in whole sign system is not the border of the house. the border is defined by the sign. The cusp is the most house-sensitive point (house-defining) in the sign.

I took an interest with someone who I think has Rahu in the 2nd.
I wrote him poetry for years, after he announced he had Parkinson's disease. He never replied. After I stopped, he made his colleague appeal to the public: "Please don't stop writing. He loves you passionately. Your letters mean the world to him." I continued, but still he won't reply. What transpired was that he got plastic surgery - to mask his Parkinson's mask... he basically looked like Madonna, only to make a few stage appearances while he still could. He played extreme heavy metal.

Dhatu Hani means loss of virality, it is referring to the female (or human) discharge probably. Yes, that contains minerals, that is why it is called "Dhatu", which literally means "minerals".
Outside of chapters titled like "specifically for women" almost nothing in classical language is phrased from female perspective. However, i think it is gender neutral to interpret Dhatu hani as "loss of strength" because (a) dhatu implies strength (as "stone / steel" would in english), it also implies nutrients (as in "vitamins and minerals").

I haven't watched the part where you reveal your solution to the seeming disparity and disconnection between the interpretation of the placement of Rahu and Ketu as a pair- but it seems to me that the seeming contradiction is no contradiction at all, but rather, showing us some secret interrelationships between boons and positive traits and shortcomings and negative ones, which have converse relationships and play tug of war in a certain sense- in other words, if Ketu has a positive placement, and Rahu and Ketu are balanced with eachother, the positive traits will be brought out.
For instance, regarding Rahu in the 12th, "hiding ill deeds" might very well just mean that one is sensitive about one's own mistakes and flaws... and conversely also that one could be overly honest about these things. As a Rahu 12th house person, I have gone in both directions.
The Ketu 6th house being given such a positive interpretation actually makes sense, as one may find success both through being very honest and expressive and demonstrative, or, through concealing one's flaws. Likewise, if one spends a great deal, as the 12th house Rahu is said to, this could either cause failure or signify the making of good investments that bring a return!
Minerals could mean nutrients like iron magnesium and such. I take those supplements 💆🏻♀️

I don't see any conundrum of Rahu having a 'positive/negative' connotation while Ketu the opposite. It's very simple. Both get played out in their Maha Dashas respectively.
It's not different than another planet being well placed while another not - And during both of those planets Maha Dashas, the qualities get played out.

I literally need to take 2 to 3 times the RDA of Magnesium a day and have had health and bowel problems a long time, but they are getting better with supplementation of trace minerals.
Sometimes I wonder if taking care of these things may help with other aspects of ketus indications.

As for the conundrum regarding Rahu being 'bad' in a certain house while Ketu is 'good' in the opposite house (or vice versa), I posit that both can appear to be 'true' at the same time simply because Rahu and Ketu is about perceptions held by the public about the native, regardless of the reality.
An illustrative example that has recently been quite topical, is the case of Johnny Depp. He has Rahu in 12th and Ketu in 6th. And over the last decade, it can be argued that public perceptions about the man can be found in the description for Rahu in 12th and more recently Ketu in 12th. And still now, it can be seen that both perceptions continue to coexist regardless of what has transpired (trials, revelations, etc)
thus I posit that Rahu-Ketu represents 'polarized perceptions that co-exist' regardless of actual reality. And the perceptions themselves can be (is most likely) quite illusory.
idgi if anything Rahu is the antithesis of Saturn, one expands the other contracts. And Ketu the antithesis for Mars, one goes for it pedal to the medal, the other abdicates it altogether.
maybe Rahu is cold-hearted and has no compassion like Saturn
