ABOUT THIS SERIES:
For centuries nodes of the Moon 'Rahu' and 'Ketu' have baffled Vedic astrologers in terms of the results they give in their 'mahadasha' and 'antardasha'.
In fact, when it comes to analyzing their influence in a person's life from the perspective of transits, it becomes even more tricky as there doesn't really seem to be a consensus on how to look at and understand at their impact.
I have spent a lot of years reading, writing and researching on the topic of the 'nodes' and have been lucky to have received a lot of love and recognition for the same. In this series, I seek to share this knowledge with my viewers along with a very unique perspective that will not only help you understand the energy of the nodes but also how to channel that energy to fulfill your life purpose.
With each episode, we shall be studying the impact of the North node and South node of the Moon via placements in the natal chart, 'Navamsha' (D-9), 'Dashamasha'(D-10), 'Shashtiamsha' (D-60) and transits. I will expand into the other divisional charts as well but let's hope and aim to fulfill the primary objectives first.
ABOUT KETU IN EIGHTH HOUSE in birth chart
Whenever you have the South node of the Moon 'Ketu' in the eighth house of the birth chart, that shows us that one of the primary objectives of your soul in this lifetime is learning how to apply your ability to stay in the shadows and take the necessary risk when necessary.
You know the kind of people who have rags to riches stories?
They are often 'Ketu' in 8th house individuals.
It's true that this can often be the case for 'Rahu' in 8th house placements too.
However with 'Ketu' in the 8th house, this happens a lot more and you will often see these individuals to be celebrities or businesspersons.
This is one placement that can be heavily 'karmic' in terms of inheritance and joint assets/collaborations with other people. It can often indicate that the native has a natural nack but also 'karma' with having to take an important risk on their own abilities to be able to succeed in life.
'Ketu' in 8th house people are meant to leave behind their own legacy and so often find themselves in a position where they either don't identify with or can't access their inheritance, they either can't leverage it or are unable to garner necessary support from others to build their own vision.
They are blessed with great intuition and instincts however that they can rely on to make the key moves necessary to come closer and closer to building the lasting, enduring security that they aspire to.
The trick to working with ‘Ketu’ in this placement is knowing that the native's destiny and life path is very closely tied to prioritising their self worth, self respect and pride first and then leveraging the necessary support from others and their own risk taking, analytical abilities to make it a reality.

I don't like to advise people on that because they usually don't take it well if I say no don't go too much into this is not for you. Lol! So I'll just say with the North node in the second house, you are meant to become more practical. Sure you can use astrology to your benefit but with the South node in the eighth, you are meant to let go of your reliance on mysterious and occult knowledge. You can circle back to it post 48 when Ketu matures. In moderation however, it's not a bad thing at all. I'm just saying focus on practicality because individuals with this placement can get too obsessed with occult and try to 'hack' the 'practical' steps that need to be taken. It doesn't work like that.
