Right on, just purchased a 02 bayliner with this motor, 5.0 Mercruiser. I did the stern drive oil/lube and I'm about to do the oil change next. Hoping to do some regular maintenance on it before summer as well.

@@dcquenceobviously where the drain bolt was, but I think to do it simpler just some PVC pipe same diameter as drain hole at the transom and attach the funnel to other end underneath of oil pan drain hole.

Love the wrench idea, no idea why I never thought of that.
But can be very difficult to reach the filter in some boats. Newer engines has that filter much higher?

Did you install the drain tube while motor in or out of the engine bay …?
You can install it while the motor is in the engine bay.
