Hi I’m in a marina in Uk a friend has this engine, please help. How / where do you re-fill the fresh water coolent once the hoses are reconnected. Thx in advance this would be very helpful
Hi mate, if the hose setup looks the same as this one then it’s raw water cooled, it sucks water in just above the propeller. Hope that helps.. don’t forget to subscribe thanks
When I checked it over before starting I could feel a little movement in the shaft just moving it by hand up & down, then when it was running I could hear a new grinding squeal noise from it.

I have this same mercruiser and having trouble with the water pump. Can you link the pump you used on the install? Awesome video by the way!
Thanks, it’s was the genuine mercruiser one for that engine number, that’s why it was strange I had to modify it

12:02 is your gasket off?
Good pick up, but no the gasket had an extra hole, they must make the one gasket for several pumps maybe.
