So wait. The CV was first, right? I couldn't really tell the difference. Which is good, because I liked the sound of the MIM in another video. So if I'm getting the same kind of sound, that's good enough for me!

Yep, the CV is the one with the maple fretboard.

Its very hard to decide what sound is better, because there are a lot of things you have to consider, like, the amp, who is playing the bass, the electronic used by the guy who is showing etc...the best thing you must to do is go to the music store and playing by yourself

I agree, I ended up selling the MIM. The CV feels better, too, IMO.

For my personal experiences I enjoyed the classic vibe then both mim p basses I owned . Fender mim just doesn't do it for me . I rather just spend a bit more to get a MIJ fender or an 80s clone . Or just get a classic vibe

The Fender sound more full and round, the Chromes are more aggressive. How old were they at the time? Edit: have watched/listened to the video again and again, those Fender strings sing! Nice playing. Is is this bassline yours?

Thanks! I’m a big fan of those fender strings. Yes, the bass line is just something I made up on the spot to demo the basses. I was mostly trying to get all four strings and a little bit of range on the fretboard to showcase more complete scope of the sounds.

It was a Squier bass being played followed by a Fender MIM bass being played. I thought the description was pretty simple, and the video got to the point. What didn't you understand? Maybe could have used some subtitles to let you know which was which. But a decent comparrison video. I give it 3/5 stars.
