Keep up the good work jack!. I ran out of el paso for many years, but run local now as I am 64 years old and wish to stay close to family and home. I grew up driving the west in the 70s, when there wasnt nearly so much regulation as there is now. Most people have no idea what a truckers life is really like !. Back when I was on the road truck driving was like a fraternal brotherhood. We had no cell phones, the cb was your life line. If you broke down beside the road you could count on other drivers to stop and help. My how times have changed !.
I have watched all of your videos and now hate waiting a week or so for the next one. They are so relaxing to watch and listen to your commentary. My family and I live about four miles NW of the Petros at the intersection of IN-28 & I69 in Indiana and would enjoy meeting you if you ever come through here again. Be safe and take care of yourself Jack.
Carl's Jr. is a west coast Hardees, Hardees is still Hardees in the east, I don't know where the dividing line is! They are just like Norfolk-Southern railroad. There is still a Southern railroad, and a Norfolk-Western railroad, Plus there is a parent Company Called Norfolk-Southern! Which owns both!
my heart failure won't let me have a hobby..............that's why I watch you .............you are my hobby..............have not been in a big truck since 2008..........thank you for what you do
Would love to see how you edit your videos. I also enjoy the history lessons you provide on your trips. My husband is a flatbed owner/op, so you would think trucking videos would be the last thing I'd want to watch ! Lol! But there is something about yours that are so enjoyable. No drama, just a nice ride along! Thanks for quality vids!
WOW, you are the best, yes, at 73 I'm learning all the time. VIDEO EDITING I'm a newbie at it and want to learn. Please share your knowledge on editing, I would love it, I have a MAC, a Garmin DashCam 20, and I used MICRO SD cards, So far, I have manage to load some video I shot as a test and now I'm Stuck on editing, I have IMOVIE editor and IPhoto editor. Looking forward to your video. Jack, you are amongst the ELITE in Trucking VIDEO, I follow quite a few truckers (I'm retired) and I love seeing the country as you folks are the pulse of life goodness. Be safe.
I spend a lot of time on I75 in SW Florida, and I always look for you hoping to see you here. If you’re stopped, I would like to meet you personally. Love your work! Thanks. Joe
Back again! I really enjoy your videos. I retired from a desk job here in San Diego county, and am glad I found your channel. It's my way of getting out on the open road... :>))
Recently found you on TH-cam and you are a firm favourite now. Watching you from the Midlands of England. I'm really impressed at your patiences at the vagaries of trucking. I was a Traffic Policeman for some 30 years in the UK and have some slight idea how difficult your profession can be. It always seems strange to me that everyone wants the items you and your colleagues truck into each town and City but seem to treat you with disrespect at any chance they get. Please keep posting the video's and be safe. Best wishes.... Mark
I was very happy to see one of my old trucks come rolling through. Fleetwood truck 2285 was my last chip hauling truck before I went OTR with them. Now I'm retired and living in the Philippines. I miss our trucks and the life on the road.
Where you pulled out of that shipper in Houston, TX near the Valero by the Hardy Tollroad is where the CDL school Lonestar College is located nearby. We did alot of road training in that area and around I-45. Small world! Looking forward to starting my career with Knight out of the Katy, TX terminal this Monday the 27th of June with orientation and road training afterwards. Enjoy your videos!
indianajacktrucker Enjoy your vids IndianaJackTrucker. I'm idling waiting for a trainer after orientation the week of June 27th as of today. Maybe you can train me? HaHa! and get some tips of video making I might try? But I know you are not a trainer but I like your video's and your outlook on life and adventures. Its help me see what I definitely like about trucking and why I got my licenses. Keep on truck'in...
I used to pickup at Budweiser in Houston and deliver in the Los Angeles area! I'd always stop at the Circle Bar truckstop in Ozona and never knew Davey Crockett used to live there! Love the informative tidbits!
I usually stop there and stay at the Holiday inn exspress in Ozona they have truck parking, then walk down to the Hitchen Post steak House.....MMmmmm very good.
Hey Jack I'm from Louisiana and you know that our state was built on swamps and marshland so it's under constant repair because it's always sinking and I got to say you put it in such a gentleman's way with your comments so thanks for that and for todays ride along as always very enjoyable film~ Jimm601
Nice video. Did you ever stop at Road Rorks, NM truck stop? They had primo fried chicken! It's been closed for a long time. Thanks for the videos, they bring back a lot of good memories.
Howdy Jack, In this video you asked us to let you know what we would like. I would enjoy hearing the nuts and bolts of your trucking adventure. Maintenance, fuel mileage, and the like. Just a mention, I realize I may be in the minority here. I enjoyed the stories about you, your earlier days and jobs, what is your "real" life like? (if you are comfortable opening your personal life to the world wide web) Great content, please keep it coming, thank you.
Hey Jack, Just dropping a line or two from Oklahoma to let you know I really enjoy the videos. It has always been a lifelong dream of mine to be an OTR trucker.. but different circumstances have always prevented me from it. I do however go out with my buddies every chance I get. I have been with a car hauler on a lot of journeys down I -40 & up I-44 to st.louis. I envy you guys as strange as that may sound. Keep on keeping on and stay safe. Thanks for what you do. I mean that honestly. Your videos are awesome. I look forward to watching many more.
Hey IndianaJack, love you're films. I'd also love to see what you take on your adventures. I'll be going out on (or over) the road this summer, and I know I'll be limited to a duffel bag and a backpack, so I know I'll have to pack smart. Thanks!
Just want to say, thank you for all the videos..I was a traveler and have been to many of the places you go through, but have been sidelined do to medical reasons. But seeing your videos bring back fond memories of past travels..So Thank You for sharing....
I film all my motorcycle trips and so there is a lot of work in making one of these video's. Do one on the editing so everyone that don't know can see how much work it is. Another great video and I love that your just laid back and never get in to big of a hurry. Keep em coming
I love I-10 ! ! ! My favorite I-10 story, 3 years ago about this time of year (Mid January) I was East bound about 20 miles East of VanHorn, TX cruise control set, speedometer read 95, gps said 93 I look in the mirrors & see a “Large Car” Peterbilt pulling a bull hauler coming up fast in the hammer lane. Driver smiled and tipped his hat as he blew my doors off!!
Indiana Jack, just saw your Maine trip video. I was born and raised in Maine, northern Maine on the Canadian border. You were only 500 miles south, being in Portland. Beautiful State, but to cold for me. Now a sunny Florida resident. Love your videos.
Hello, Jack!...just retired as of Feb 2015 after 38 years OTR. After watching some of your movies I have to admit that I 'do' miss the road already!...especially the routes you took west (my favorite direction of travel). But, seeing the same truck stops in your movies that I'd been to a million times, and, all the other places, makes missing the road a little more tolerable I guess! Keep up the good work on the movies and I look forward to seeing more in my inbox! Be safe out there! PS: Like you I am very much into computers and would definitely like to see the editing and making procedures of your films! Respectfully, Jim Bridges, Houston, Texas
Wanted to tell you how much I enjoy your videos. This time I liked the shots from looking our of the sleeper toward the front of the cab. This is the first I time but probably not the last to comment. Was wondering if you have ever done a show on your sleeper and how you have it set up?
Hope you had a good easter and you spent it at home not behind the wheel. No more snow for now unless you are haulin in alaska jack. Good video. I would enjoy your post production techniques putting the videos together....hows your fuel mileage going these days buddy? Safe travels......i see you are eating better stuff. Good for you jack.
I think you are by far the guy who puts the most work into editing videos (truckingwise..) on YT. I would like some more dashcam type road-scenery tho. trivial or not! And maybe some info on your weight and what product you haul (if not "top secret" hah..)
Hi Jack,,,i'm new here so just wanted to say,Great films and keep up THE good work..there'er 2 things I wanted to now..how long are hou away from home and how to you manage that with your family..greetz from België'
Another great vid jack we would love to inside the truckstops and your views on which and what trucks tick your clock mate keep it going jack and happy easter from good old n.ireland
Great Video! I would definitely be interested in seeing any "Behind the scenes" info. One suggestion for the non trucker, do a video of a pre-trip inspection. Thanks and keep the video's coming.
Sure Jack, I would like to see how you do all the editing for your videos. That would be a great topic and very educational. Stay safe Jack and Keep those wheels turning.
Yes! Please make a you tube on how you get it from the camera to you tube. I don't know but it seems to take me hours at times to render and upload. I have a GoPro 3+ and use the GoPro software to render (if that is what you call it) then send to you tube and it seems to take for ever to upload. That would be of interest to me! I also love your videos. I was a driver when I was younger and its so hard to get the diesel out of my blood...:)
What guitar music were you using for this video? It was very nice. And as for Behind The Scenes....how and when you set your cams up and when to get all the different shots before you edit it all together.
Good............that cartoon make me really happy.......happy.........I love this............so funny............I love to see cartoon because something happen is not real..............but make me smile and relax............
Yes, by all means, please do a video on how you edit your films. I am just starting to make them myself and learning how to use iMovie. Thanks for the great videos!
New subscriber here! will be getting into truck driving soon. one question though, you seem to eat a lot of convenience foods and fast food. do you think about eating more healthy foods and shopping at grocery stores to save money? or can you? like the video and would like to see the editing process. I am glad your hobby is film making, your very good at it. I especially like seeing places that I would not ever get to see. Your the man IJ.
On my other channel "Life is a Journey" I started a series on filmmaking and editing, but only did 3 or 4 videos on it. People on this channel don't like subjects other than trucking.
A fact about Ozona, TX. New Orleans jazzrock trio Royal Fingerbowl featured a song called "Ozona, TX" on their 1997 album 'Happy Birthday, Sabo about a hallucinating, dying cowboy.
Could you clarify the part dealing with the hi-cube trailer? It was my understanding that a trailer like you described (14 ft) would actually require an oversize permit to run it. Thanks :)
Wow! Credit to that tow truck driver - essentially backing up a "trailer" attached to another trailer is no joke! He's got me beat.
Hi Jack! I'm a 53yr old widow on S.S.I. Disability and I enjoy living vicariously through you and your videos! Stay safe!

What I like about these videos is watching the scenery so don`t edit it out.
