Brother Jack, remember the movie AIRPLANE? -"Get your finger out of your ear!-You don't know where that finger's been!"-LOLOLOLOLOL -I was thinking of that when you were talking about the lid dispensers -LOL!!!! Outstanding videos!!
Man of Man, what a voice, love your singing, the guitar is so sweet of a sound, along with the voice. I'm sharing this with my brother in law in Northern Alberta who works for Mar-Rik Trucking in Valleyview Alberta. They will enjoy this video. Best regards, JP, Calgary, Alberta Canada....
40 is a beautiful drive. I have done it numerous times in a four wheeler. Just a side note - most of the Circle K's in the Phoenix area have those lid dispensers you were talking about. "No kid juice on your lid" priceless !
Hi Jack: Mirrors loose.....one of the greatest Enemies of trucking is Vibration. Sometimes you view toward the rear on the right side of your Tractor. Have a boo at it and you will see the separation between the Hood and Tractor or joint, traveling about a 1/2 inch up and down.....the Metal or Fiberglass definitely moves a lot between the Hood and Tractor. All that movement means everything is moving which means its a tough Job to keep things tight. Sometimes using larger heat treated Washers helps. A better larger Heat treated washer holds the clamping Force better. Soft Bolts and Washers just will not stay tight!
Chris Greaves Hi Jack, I’m a ex Australian truckie now retired after 41 years in the industry and I started watching your videos about 3 months ago and I must say that I’m finding them to be very insightful as they give us a BS free look into your day to day activities ... not to mention the great scenery also. I had to chuckle to myself when you said you bought fuel for $2.65 per gallon as we are currently paying $1.58 per litre which equates out to approx $6.00 per US gallon ... easy to say that fuel is our biggest expense. Safe travels Jack and keep up the good work.
You mention Wal-Mart,they bought out our asda chain in the UK and their signs read, 'asda ,part of the wal- mart family' good bargains to be had. Great videos as usual,Jack, stay safe and keep em coming.
Nice ride Jack! Am retired now,Dec.1958 to Feb.2010. Your vids. bring back a host of memories! Thanks for the ride back in time. Use to haul from Oxnard to NYS pre I40. Be safe go buddy. Catch you on the flip flop. AKA (THUNDER)
I enjoy your videos so much! We appreciate your caring voice and safe approach to commercial driving - an excellent example for others. Thank you so much for sharing your travels with all of us. We look forward to watching your future journeys. Safe travels IT!
I really enjoy your videos. As a former driver of a KW T600 back in the mid 90's its great to watch and allow some old memories come rushing back.. Keep up the great work, and as always Keep on Trucking!
I've been seriously considering returning to the trucking industry. I'm definitely not ready to retire. Too many great miles left in this Texas gal. You never disappoint me, your videos are so real. You show exactly how it is, except you never show drop and hooks lol.
Great video. Start training in 2 weeks here in Canada. Thanks for the last few months for allowing me to travel with you and aiding me in my decision to start my new career (16 years in another field). Safe travels!!
Jack, I have followed you and your films for a few years now and have seen them all ,I follow a few other drivers but I can honestly say that your films by far are the best.
I realize that this is an older vlog, but I enjoyed it. We live in Tulsa, and my wife and i travel to Memphis a couple times a year. Your vlogs also remind me of when i was younger and would go on the road with my dad, who drove for Elliott back in the day. Thanks for taking the time to video and post your days on the road
We have had Wal-Mart in Germany too, so about 15 years ago. But all shops have closed after 4 or 5 years. Their products were too expensive and the quality was not that good. Sorry to say that. But your video is very good. I have seen three or four before. Now I am a subscriber. Greetings from a retired German trucker, 44 years on the road
What a great video,Jack! that mirror cracked me up! I remember the corn video and i thought the same thing when i had seen it, "Whats with Jack's mirror"? LOL. Thanks again for the great video,Jack.
Jack, You've got the life I can only dream for having epilepsy, but those morning temperatures in the 20's are Waaaaay too cold for me🙀 Keep on truckin',' cause I keep watchin'!👍🏽😁👍🏽
Hi Jack from Windsor, Ontario Canada! I am a long ago trucker, and my heart still yearns for my trucks. I am a new sub, and just wanted to say TY and please keep the videos coming. I enjoy them very much. God Bless!
Very nice. Looks like you've steered clear of the snow so far. Now just a quick question: I'm sure you're not ready to replace your truck yet, but if you were thinking about it, what type of truck would you go with? Another Volvo, or a Freightliner, KW, Pete, or something else? Just wondering. Keep up the good work with your videos. :)
❤ Your video's Jack, my first car was a Volvo, so I'm used to their weird quirks too to some degree, but I still love the trucks and wouldn't hesitate to own one personally. Just keep rollin' along because You've become my favorite show to watch! 👍🏽😎
Thanks IndianaJack, used to run I-40 corridor back in the 80's n 90's. Running a log/chip truck in the White Mtns in Arizona now, sometimes miss the road but do enjoy being home with the wife at night. But your video brings back some memories. Also lizard problem I always just told them I'd would crawl back in the sleeper and ask my wife if it was ok or I would hang one of her bras up on the visor and they would leave me alone
I live just down the road a ways from the Iron Skillet at the North Little Rock Petro where you were and eat there about once a week, maybe I'll see you there sometime. Take care, and love your vids!
Hi DROPOFF MIRROR JACK Iain,t never been a truck driver like your self. The most I drove was a little 7 and a half tonner for DHL my last job before retirement. I've been to America and Canada quite a few times and I love itand in retirement I travel with you all over the USA. Thankyou JACK.
Its been a long time sence I was trucking, back then we were driving cab/overs, they were on they out, I quiet driving in 86, when my daughter was borne ive been at that Ark stop a few times.
Question: Indiana J, I made the trip down 1-40 west to Albuquerque a few times. It is scary. Many of those truckers are going 85 mph an hour. I think the posted speed limit might be 65 because it is a "safety corridor". Why is that stretch of highway, and I'll guess, 40 miles, like a Nascar track? Seriously, if you are not keeping pace, it is dangerous.
Thank you for highlighting and showing concern regarding Crete monopolizing the hammer lane. Boy, that kinda crap irks me. Whether his speed is governed or not, he can easily stay behind you till all the pent up traffic passes. Two reasons this happens: inconsideration and selfishness.
Love the song Jack you should play it more often and I think that if we should ever meet one Old School trucker to another I think we could be friends these days friends are sure hard to find happy Thanksgiving Jack and God Bless.
The mirror problem must be a Volvo thing as I had them on my 1995 International conv. for 6 yrs. and never had a problem. Does Volvo still have the rubber bushings on the shocks? Maybe that is what is missing or worn out. Volvo's were always known for their smooth ride, this mirror thing surprises me.
I realize that you posted this video 5 years ago, so you may not read this comment. I just wanted to tell you that there are a whole lot of trucks on the 45 between Houston and Dallas. (Some are even the driverless ones.) However, the largest number of trucks travel at night.
Hey jack how much money does it cost a driver if he accidentally works beyond his allowable driving hours in fines by the dot. In Australia if we work an extra 15 minutes over it is $450.
Howdy Jack , In my day of OTR driving there was no such thing as reserved parking at any truck stop or even handicapped parking when you reserve a spot is there any charges and what do you have to do call ahead ?
If you want to stop lot lizards from even knocking on your door, place a piece of paper in your driver's side window with "NO" written on it (it sits nicely under the lip of the seal in the corner of the window). They understand what you mean and won't bother you.
Hi Mr.Jack. I always watching and your big fan. I have some questions. I am recent graduate CDL A. I'm trying to start OTR trucker but I don't know which company is good for newbie trucker. If you have any suggestion, pls. one more thing, How much do newbie trucker make per weekly or per year? Thank you for your all vids. Have a great one.
Indiana Jack, I noticed that you never use your CB radio, is that because you're filming or what? I've noticed that many trucker's don't use their CB radios any more and thus do not radio speed traps to other drivers.
Going through some old vids of you The mirror can be over come use nyloc nuts or use some Loctite, someone may have already said Cheers from down under mate
Yeah, I used the reserved parking at the Baldwin TA also while my truck was being worked on...got the very last one left that evening and was convenient to know I would have a spot waiting for me when the work was done.
“Indiana Jack” I am a happy new subscriber. And just to let you know! I am not a “Want a bee” and or “wish I could have been trucker”. I am a viewer; because I like the content. And I will post the same to “T-Josh”. However I just enjoy the films. Thanks’ for taking the time to make this video! And I support this site. ~M~

9 year million mile veteran, had to quit so I could concentrate on my Mustang restomod shop. Thanks for the memories.

Jack, you are a brave man parking next to that Swifty in the Flying J...:)
I really love how some folks act like they were never a rookie! Just sayin’..

Good Job, Indiana Jack! Greetings from Germany!
Thank you for highlighting and showing concern regarding Crete monopolizing the hammer lane. Boy, that kinda crap irks me. Whether his speed is governed or not, he can easily stay behind you till all the pent up traffic passes. Two reasons this happens: inconsideration and selfishness.
Nice video brotha, u should come down to I-40 from Texas to North Carolina we have way to many trucks lol and up to Virginia

Good info on the slow truck passing another slow truck. Definitely didn't know that the trucks were sometimes governed by the carrier.
great video Jack
From one driver to another how do you like the Volvo, is it a good truck pros. cons. that kind of thing
Jp...Not my singing. It's a guy named Steve Linville. He's a much better singer than me. I will tell him since he never watches these films. :-)
indianajacktrucker i use to go through Dalhart Texas hwy 54 to go to Eastern iowa
daffylover456 I do to
indianajacktrucker I live in Tennessee and every where I go I use i- 40

OOIDA has a brilliant video showing that very reason for not having limiters
The truck stop that you were in in Memphis was actually in W. Memphis Arkansas. Been there many times.
Can't never be enough lorry's. LOL 🤠👍🇺🇸
Hi Jack.on your trks on I-40 could show more of your trip,
Not all the trk stops, please. it gets boring seeing the same
thing over&over. thanks.
You have viewers from Monterrey, Mexico.....
Where'd you stop between New Mexico and Little Rock?
Hey jack how much money does it cost a driver if he accidentally works beyond his allowable driving hours in fines by the dot.
In Australia if we work an extra 15 minutes over it is $450.
Howdy Jack , In my day of OTR driving there was no such thing as reserved parking at any truck stop or even handicapped parking when you reserve a spot is there any charges and what do you have to do call ahead ?
Greetings Jack----say,,, when a truck passes you, do you headlight blink them so they know it's safe to merge back into your lane?
If you want to stop lot lizards from even knocking on your door, place a piece of paper in your driver's side window with "NO" written on it (it sits nicely under the lip of the seal in the corner of the window). They understand what you mean and won't bother you.

Thank you for your all vids. Have a great one.
Did I hear some gear grinding there about the ten minute mark?
Norman Mcgill Must have been from a nearby truck! 😝
Nice videos though - -if one "only watches" one video screenshot window at a time.!!!
'Walk the Line' is another good one
Indiana Jack, I noticed that you never use your CB radio, is that because you're filming or what? I've noticed that many trucker's don't use their CB radios any more and thus do not radio speed traps to other drivers.
Great stuff ☺

great vid Jack
UK Loretta fan here !
You mentioned "idle air" several times. What is that or what does that mean?
Dammmmm i miss this!!! Best job EVER
Yeah, I used the reserved parking at the Baldwin TA also while my truck was being worked on...got the very last one left that evening and was convenient to know I would have a spot waiting for me when the work was done.
Was in tenn Thursday and Friday. Not the biggest fan of those hills. Beautiful though as well wv,va
God Bless You May he keep you safe and Happy.
Use some tread lock on the screws Jack.. Then the screws won’t vibrate lose.
Which model of camera you are using?
gawd the volvo blinker noise needs a major modification...
After listening to your truck accelerate, the trucks today seem to have more torque and horse power than they used to.
did you ever resolve the warranty issue?
“Indiana Jack” I am a happy new subscriber. And just to let you know! I am not a “Want a bee” and or “wish I could have been trucker”. I am a viewer; because I like the content. another good simple video
