      I don't think so that such things had spiritual significance directly. If that was the case then Guru Govind Singh ji would also have forbidden cutting nails. And before Guru Govind Singh ji, Guru Nanak would have made this rule. I think these rules were made for the reasons mentioned in the vdo. And ig such rules was to unite people to fight against mughals. So these rules thus didn't directly contribute in spiritual purpose but indirectly by fighting against mughals.

      No bro.
      Nail cutting means hygiene.
      Hair are spritually related to the body.
      It is not only the head hair...what also the full body hair mist be kept.
      I mean no waxing, no eyebrows.
      And in men no beard trimming and shaving.( Men and women both can wears turban. It is called dumala. It was compulsory for men, voulantrial for Women..)
      Wearing turban was also associated with the pride. It was a tool to fight against the Mughals,. opression in the name of Islam..(Guru Gobind Singh Jis children, mother they all sacrificed their life to protect our identity, raising voice against atrocities)
      Sixth Guru Hargobind Singh ji established Akal Takhat ( throne of God ) in Amritsar to challenge Jahangir then Mughal Emperor before Sikhism was more about peaceful type.
      Guru Gobind Singh ni gave its institutional form.
      The Martyrs tradition started by Guru Arjun Dev ji fifth Guru of Sikhs. He gave us Guru Granth Sahib.
      Cutting hair of a Sikh, or having hand on the turban .... it is equal to insult.
      What turban and hair mean- read about Bhai Taru Singh. His skull was removed.. But he not allowed the jalad to cut his hair.
      Sikh women agreed to have dead children what they did not embrace Islam and cut their hair..
      That is why they are Singhins.

    The real reason was, when guruji where in meditation, people came for help when goons attacked, and guruji mediated for long years, so the hair got long, like how sadhus have, so to fight for justice they used to secure hair with cloth which we call turban. That's my calculation.

  • @madhvsuryach7199
    @madhvsuryach7199 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +13

    Hidden reason was that most men in Hindus,those days, used to shave heads ( like baji Rao) , invaders just used their sword on heads and easily harm or kill at any time ,
    So this was a easy available and thus protecting the Sikh protector, by wearing turban.

    Actually I studied in text book history that the sikhs vow to eliminate the Muslim invaders who killed one of their gurus, so they started to wear a turban, kada( in hand) and a sword . So the government of India allowed to held a sword by every sikh.
    Pl clarify.

    • @Milksuriiii
      @Milksuriiii 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think you mean a Kara instead of Kada? Or it's another way of saying it but I'm assuming you mean the metal bangles. If so then yes, Sikhs always had to fight to keep our religion because the Muslims tried to force Sikhs to convert or they would kill them. So the Muslim invaders were repelled after the fall of the Mughals and the Sikh Empire was re-established until the Nepalis and one of our own people betrayed us and India was completely taken by the British
