I don't think so that such things had spiritual significance directly. If that was the case then Guru Govind Singh ji would also have forbidden cutting nails. And before Guru Govind Singh ji, Guru Nanak would have made this rule. I think these rules were made for the reasons mentioned in the vdo. And ig such rules was to unite people to fight against mughals. So these rules thus didn't directly contribute in spiritual purpose but indirectly by fighting against mughals.

One correction...turban wasn't the symbol of high status in India. It's because of the weather of the country, especially in the arid regions, like Gujarat, Rajasthan, people have always been wearing some form of turban to protect themselves from the sun.

Turban was made mandatory by Guruji to make the followers, the 24x7 warriors to protect themselves and their society from the attackers in the form of rulers of those days. Kesh is one of 5 Kakaars.
Actually I studied in text book history that the sikhs vow to eliminate the Muslim invaders who killed one of their gurus, so they started to wear a turban, kada( in hand) and a sword . So the government of India allowed to held a sword by every sikh. Pl clarify.

If so then yes, Sikhs always had to fight to keep our religion because the Muslims tried to force Sikhs to convert or they would kill them. So the Muslim invaders were repelled after the fall of the Mughals and the Sikh Empire was re-established until the Nepalis and one of our own people betrayed us and India was completely taken by the British

One correction...turban wasn't the symbol of high status in India. It's because of the weather of the country, especially in the arid regions, like Gujarat, Rajasthan, people have always been wearing some form of turban to protect themselves from the sun.

Actually I studied in text book history that the sikhs vow to eliminate the Muslim invaders who killed one of their gurus, so they started to wear a turban, kada( in hand) and a sword . So the government of India allowed to held a sword by every sikh.

If so then yes, Sikhs always had to fight to keep our religion because the Muslims tried to force Sikhs to convert or they would kill them. So the Muslim invaders were repelled after the fall of the Mughals and the Sikh Empire was re-established until the Nepalis and one of our own people betrayed us and India was completely taken by the British
