I'm a simple man. I put purple on X, yellow on Y, red on B, and green on A. Then on the one set that has no unforgiveables, it gets 2 reds, 1 red on A, 1 on B. And that's my main combo insta killer without the "bad" spells. Leviosa, Accio, Incendio, and Diffindo. Takes care of 99% of enemies in 1-2 hits.
For the two red I have the one we learn from Sebastian
@Ke D got Confringo and Glacius on the same set with Cruciatus and Depulso (since it's the opposite of the arrow on Accio, this is my right arrow set). That's how I remember on the fly. Also good for lighting and dousing brazier on same set
I do the same, and the two reds are fire spells against inferi
@Felleg 4 yeah I did that for awhile too, but I needed Accio and Incendio on the same one. Incendio is too short ranged even with talent.

my square is for purple and the dpad is their direction. so top-square is flippendo, left-square is accio, bottom-square is descendo and right-square - being the opposito of left/accio - is depulso.
my triangle is always red and X is always a green, except for dpad-left, where it is incendio with accio - and circle is a yellow
With Concentration III equipped to all your items (hat, gloves, robe, etc.) Almost every red spell becomes a one-shot. Bombarda, Diffendo, Confrigo, and Incendio will each drop most enemies in 1 hit (including Infamous Foes). The only thing that survives for more than 1 hit are the trolls, but even they only last for 2-4 hits.
Use damage potion along with this build to 1-shot the troll
With Glacius it's op
I just had an epiphany - arresto momentum always felt like a worse version of glacia. What if they could provide an upgraded version of arresto momentum to basically turn your character into Flash/Quicksiler!?
Imagine an AOE slow after casting where all opponents are almost stand still meanwhile you run around using accio/depulso to position them in one space. This would be incredible opportunity against enemy aoe spells.
Plus we all want to feel like that Quicksilver scene from X-Men 😁

Great video, I'm LV40 with 4K Health, 450 Defense, and 450 Offense. These are the highest stats you can have with all your gear pieces at 114 and fully upgraded. I have the trait "Binding 3" on all my gear. I play on the hardest difficulty without any curses and there isn't anything I can't kill in one hit with Petrificus Totalus. The max I've been able to do is 25k damage on a LV33 troll. Shout out to my Gryffindor family!
The dark magic build is my favourite. I have 10/10 talents in dark arts and I've never been happier with it.

This game needs a difficulty slider that goes way higher than it currently is. The power creep in this game is just way to ridiculous. Most encounters can be trivialized and last 6 seconds.
Just Recently went to Nexus Mods and installed harder difficulties
I feel like broken barrel chain curse works, transformations every bit as lethal as avada kedavra, just possible to defend from transformation.
I imagine when the barrel, the body of your target breaks, that damage is shared with the bones of everyone linked, so they just crumple in contorted piles. like body horror crucio.

Surprised the unforgivable trait wasn't mentioned. It absolutely destroys anything that's cursed. I'd argue it's better and more versatile than herbology builds. Turns expelliarmus into a red glacius that can be paired with nearly anything. I'm running 4 unforgivable 3s and 2 concentration 3s and I'm obliterating everything.
You can throw the people turned into barrels makes the smaller enemies ammo for the big ones
Very new to gaming at 72. Don’t understand traits. Can one gear be stacked with two different traits? Example Protego shielding and Venom I. Very confusing. Recommend a good place to learn more about traits
Don't waste a decendo on the enemy that you transformed. Just throw them to kill another enemy
The reason he was using decendo is to get the shockwave damage, possibly taking out 3-4 enemies instead of just 2 by throwing.

I’m soooo pissed atm i literally finished absolutely everything but for some reason it’s not added the final collection even though i’ve collected and completed everything can’t get the achievement due to that on played through all houses too😬😩
i was thinking this could be a skyrim type game but after playing it's more like a dragon age type game. idk what it was but it felt like the possibilitys were endless when building a character in Skyrim or any of the fallouts this game feels like a lot of rinse and repeat.
When you have won the game there should be a reset skills option to let you try more builds please Dev's
Oddly enough i ended up with some Dark Arts Plant Hybrid and i was going to add the the exploding barrels.
I have a dark arts build, and I use the transformation talent for the barrel. I like cursing and then throwing the barrel, big damage number go brrrr
The more I play Hogwarts the more I see what a damn good game it is.
try crucio then tap-tap damage till curse distribute then make into barrel the explode it.. it's one hit for swarmed enemy
What game mode is this you're playing? It doesn't look like the Dark Arts Arena?
Glacio mastery with diffindo is pretty nice but levioso mastery with descendo mastery yummy.
Any weak build recommendation, something like a no red spell build, nude (no gear) build? Being OP is not that interesting to me.
What's the best combination to get rid of yellow and purple shields?
unlock the flipendo mastery talent and you can inflict the cursed debuff for even more damage with the glacius/diffindo combo

I really wish this game had some sort of progression system for each of your spells like no matter how strong you make your character certain spells won't work on certain enemies like you'll never be able to lift a troll or dugbog for example

Transformation + Depulso is an instant kill, as well as throwing the barrel into another enemy.
Definitely throw them into an enemy for the 2 for 1 and keep the depulso for creating aoe opportunities, cliffs/environment, or simply kiting.
I think the most broken build is crucio+transformation (with explosive barrel) you basically use crucio on the strongest enemie and hit him with basic attacks making him to spread the mark and when all of them have it u transform one of them and when you pick him to throw the barrel they all die, I think is a bug and is not the way they intended this combo to work but otherwise it is the strongest combo if you're fighting more than 1 enemy, I also use flipendo for trolls, when they smack the floor you use it on them and they smack themselves and my last spell is bombarda because high damage and almost no cooldown.

also u can use imperio on an enemy to make them unaware of you and then cast disillusionment to use petrificus totalus

@@alexandrumacedon291 thats not that much considering I alternate between the combo of crucio+transformation and bombarda, though you don't need any other spells than crucio+transformation for enemy waves bc the combo wipes everything
@@LuhTora you can try focus potion and the talent that extends the duration with each slot spell cast. u can keep it indefinitely. u can spam lumos to get to the full duration again if u need 😂

Unforgivable is by far my favorite of the traits. Just absolutely broken. Concentration is really good if you play without the curses.
Does transformation build still work?
So I finally hit lvl 40 and I've been op since lvl 27-30 I decided to buy low powered gear to swap to give more of a challenge.
instead of using descendo, i prefer using traited bombarda just for the satisfaction of blowing up an exploding barrel XD
imperio with invisibility spell/potion which either one you prefer and all gear equiped with imperio boost 3 (i believe it was manipulation 3) and the imperio mastery wouldnt hurt... wouldnt hurt you that is XD
and then you just sit back, relax and enjoy them turning on one and other and watch your minion 1shot most targets.

100 hours and and you realise you have the wrong build...... Hit the respec... oh wait... restart >.
If you're on PC there is a mod on nexus that allows you to craft a respec potion.
the endgame builds are too OP in this game, makes it too easy for people that min-max.
u get neither 5 nor 6 ticks from mandrakes. u get 4 and if you take the talent you get 7

I don’t understand people not using avada because of “moral” choices. The description in the books says getting hit by it kills you faster than falling asleep. But getting someone torn to pieces by rabid cabbage or turned into chicken for the rest of their lives, burned alive or slashed in half is totally moral 😂😂😂

for a short time and also applies curse when upgraded, with a very short cool down it's convenient for spreading curse around (along with expeliarmus) when crucio is on cooldown. it's not a bad utility spell for a cursing build

@@babayaga4320 tbh maybe I'm wrong, now that I think about it. I'll have to get on the game and check it lol. For some reason I'm thinking it stuns them in the air in for a moment after you flip them in similarly to aresto, but I am wrong maybe 🤔
Plants are the best
To be honest I don't think they'll take that away It affects no bodies game but yours so it's kind of pointless.
There are 50 talents in the game, and you get 40 talent points. The only "builds" are with/without dark magic. There are spell combinations, but blasting a Crucio victim until he is one hit away from death, and then casting Avada Cadavra is the only one so OP that you might as well forget about your ancient magic meter.

But WHY?? there's no end game and the game is pretty simple. You barely need a build for this game. It's a one and done. Beat it and move on

Can't stick to one build being in one slot, Settings different builds in different slots every clip so it's never the same setup

Not gonna lie. After beating the game and doing everything, the game is extremely dead to continue. Not much replay value aside from choosing a new house to see what they all look like. Game will be dead and forgotten in five months
The amount of love and hype it's recieved will give the devs a reason to drop dlc and sequels, not to mention the amount of people who are asking for it alread
Literally nothing to do after you have finished the main story, and I don’t see myself playing this game again the story wasn’t that good at all. Still hoping they release some really good DLCs the game still has a lot of potential.
I mean…okay? Not everything needs to be a never ending live service. I like games that actually finish. Lots of other games to play 😊
@@AfterHoursOwl then that’s not really an “immersive” action RPG imo. It doesn’t have to be a live service. Ghost of Tsushima didn’t have live service but it kept me playing. Sifu didn’t have live service but it kept me playing. The mechanics for HL didn’t do anything better than other games or make any interesting twists on already existing mechanics to make the gameplay more attention grabbing. Even Bully didn’t have live service and I can definitely play that longer than HL cause we actually had free reign to be a good or bad person which kept me coming back. The only thing driving this game is the fact kids and adults who grew up watching and reading Harry Potter finally got to explore Hogwarts. But even the loot system made the exploration more tedious and boring than rewarding. Any genuine person not star-struck for the game will tell you this. It shouldn’t have to feel boring and dull so quickly when I can go back to similar games that are older and be entertained for a far longer time period than HL even if I have 300+ hours on them. 😊
