The way I've done lava before is I put LED strip lights in a photo frame. I masked off anywhere that I didn't want lava and blended the edges of the frame with sculptamold to make it less square. Then I put caulk on top of the glass of the frame so the lights would shine up through it. I ripped up some cork with my fingers and pressed the cork in when the caulk was wet. After I painted the caulk with reds, yellows, and oranges and the cork with blacks and browns. I painted with the lights on so I could find the natural "hot spots" where the LEDs were closer together, then I turned the lights off for blending the colors. I constantly toggled back and forth. It turned out really nicely and works good in the light or the dark. I built a shadowbox just to accentuate it but it worked fine without the shadowbox.
Nice start. We are happy with our T-Trak as it is lite and easy. We do 5 shows a year and the kids have a great time with it.
Our club thought it would be good for us to have a travel setup. We did this right at the beginning of covid so are now getting back to it.

Ive been looking at doing one of these. Where did you buy the module kit or did you build it yourself?
We got these from a man who passed away and you will need to search Google to try and find modules.
Will this be the "Roswell" station? 🙂
