Hey Mike, your module is gonna be awesome. Knowing what you can accomplish with your modeling talents, I know it will be very well done and realistic. I saw a H.O. modular layout at a model train show up in Ohio when I was laid over for the weekend a long time ago. They all did their modules so well that it didn't look like a modular layout at all. I tried to start a club to do that here in South Mississippi, but noone was interested. So, I just do my own thing and enjoy model railroading that way.
One of the things that often disappoints me with the various modular layouts at train shows is that so many modelers just make them flat with very little visual interest. It seems for many, the goal is just to extend the overall length of the main line, with no concern for scenery. Your module is going to be much more interesting for the trains to run through. Nice job!
Mike If you can still lift the short piece of road move it so the cut edge butts up against the long road segment and place the gap at the track. This would look more realistic, especially if you are filling in the gap with fine rock material. And if you are still planning on having a lava flow try to make the hardened lava with columnar, 6 sided columns. This would be realistic and is not usually modeled on others layouts.
Hi ya Mike. Looking good. I wanted to ask a question yesterday but I forgot. I noticed in Ep. 1 the road looked like it was on a roll. What is that product? Thanks in advance for your reply. See ya.
Is Noch 34200 the same as Busch 7087 - Flexible Self-Adhesive Paved Roadway? They look similar. Curious if you have a preference? Does your store normally carry the Noch 34200?
The module is really taking shape. Thanks for the tip on the roads using cork roadbed to add some height.
Thank You Michael !!

This really interests me Mike. Please do a video on your size and the materials you made the modular I’m wanting to start one tomorrow hehe
The maker of the module is out of business and I am not sure of new suppliers.
