Bravo on getting the old girl running. After 31 years it didn`t sound bad at all. Now the real work starts... Fantastic that you can get your dad involved as well....
New subscriber, love these vids. Have to say I would have bet a weeks wages you were never going to get this thing running! inspired to get my two old failed projects back underway, things are never too far gone if you persevere. awesome stuff guys and I hope the guy you got it from is watching with interest. regards.
Nice one you two for getting the engine started , it sounds well nice to hear that engine burst in to life again , after 31 years , awesome job farther and some , you rock 🤟🤟👍
We're going to need the details on Dad's Shop coat... Hit the exhaust pipes with the infrared laser thermometer to find your missing bang and see if the other 3 are relatively close in temps. Cheers!
Ah well done mate, it feels good doesn’t it. I did the same this year with a 31 year old zzr1100 after totally renovating it, for my bike it ran for the first time in 15 years or so.
Nice job getting it started. If you going to do it up can I suggest uget yourself some JIS screwdriver,s they are a must for working on Japanese bikes.
Nice to see, and hear the KATANA running again. Is the bike in neutral? The gearbox sprocket is flying round when the engine's running. Keep an eye on the lower frame rails under the engine, some GSX550 EF bikes have had issues with them rotting out from the inside.
Great to hear the Katana running, I'm with you on the running on three cylinders? Might be worth pulling the plug caps off and on one by one with the motor running? The one that makes no difference is the culprit cylinder. Hi Dave you're on the telly 👋🤣
Errrr.... Baz; I hear Australia is quite nice (this part of the year) if you're buying Katana parts. F%&k 'budget': Find out how many original GSX750SEs exist. This bike is designed to be enjoyed and driven. Putting smiles on people. Here endeth the lesson......
@@SpecialisedMotorcycleTransport hearing you mate .....I've had my Gsx750f's carbys off about 6 times ....and have to do it again. Suffers from the Worn Slides/ Guides syndrome those Mikuni CV carbs are known for.
The gsx750es is pretty much compatible I have both the gsx750se and the gax750es in my work shop so i will take some measurements for you but I am pretty sure they are the same
Float levels too high bike will run rich, too low will run lean, I find when restoring old motorcycles, get yourself a ultrasonic cleaner, a heat gun, use red rubber grease on rubbers.
Hey you, who you talking to, total respect to ya Dad. How cool is he. Best bit of channel lol. Great content, please get the classic Suzuki running like a top. Stunning bike. Please shut the heck up with the stupid MUZAK, so annoying mate, just no need for it, I am sure your audience is able to concentrate between two minutes of silence, we dont need shopping round Walmart muzak lol.
your old boy gave it the magic touch so nice to here it going
He did Mike. 👍😁

I will get the deets on the smock for you mate. 😂
Did you hear us talking about the infra red temp tool in the vid?

Its a great feeling yea. but now what do we do with it?

definitely for another day that job haha. next is a cleanup i think?
Well done nice having dad there top man . My old had bandit 600 rear and front end on it . Cost off £200 with wheels swinging arm . ❤🏍🛠🐶👍
Were they the same size stanchions or did he change the triples?
🎉🎉
Seen an advert on car and classic for a 1984 Katana (non pop up) which has GSXR 17 inch front (and rear) wheels so possibly forks as well ?
If you look up the part no for the legs you can do parts comparison.
Unique forks for that model- Japanese manufacturers repo in gold and chrome. But easier just to get hard chrome locally. Pdf will leak.
Try Evaporust for rusty parts
The cleanup job starts this week. 😁
Beautiful stuff.. Did you check the oil level... Rpm 900 to 1000.. What did you pay for it.... You can rechrome the forks
Oooooh matron its stuck 😊
😂
Hi dad 👋
He says hi back. 😂👋

F%&k 'budget': Find out how many original GSX750SEs exist.

Here endeth the lesson......
There’s many in aus but not many parts. Parts bike mainly - tank- mirrors- dash- tail cover- side covers all very hard.
Use a heat gun on the rubber manifolds before attempting to reinstall the carbs....they'll pop back in way easier.
That's what we did the first 6 times we fitted them and removed them but got tired of it. 😂

Thats super useful info mate thank you. 👌
Yeah GR72A frame - but jetting and cams different- front forks and pdf different. I run mikuni rs34 down tuned with pods.
Float levels too high bike will run rich, too low will run lean, I find when restoring old motorcycles, get yourself a ultrasonic cleaner, a heat gun, use red rubber grease on rubbers.
It's almost like you're describing the last two videos here buddy. ✌️😂😂

@ 3:55 .........who farted?
Must have been Dad. 🙄😂
have you noticed the katana on facebook marketplace in chesterfield@
Yes we've seen that but our budget won't stretch to that sadly. 😢
