I rode a katana for a friend who drove us to look it over....The journey home was over 50 miles and I thought that I should have bought it instead of my friend ... As usual Suzuki did it again.... They put a lot into the engines and less into the chrome.....always a good reliable bike from them ....and extra good value for money ...
Friend at work has just bought an 84 750 and we were chatting about it, then youtube recommended this. Im glad of it but google need to chill with the surveillance 😂
I had a silver one back in the day, I loved it, my first big bike 84 model immaculate, I fitted a 130 rear tire from memory, had to file down the plastic chain guard

Yep an absolute shame that was kept outside unloved however big shout out to the lad that did as it wouldn't be a donor if it wasn't . Big round of applause to the lad for donating it though ..out of all the nuts bolts and fasteners on a bike those screen bolts must rate as THE most annoying to remove . Horrid design . Looking forwards to next instalment to see how far you get .
As regards the tax mot exemption, i think if the bike has been off the road for a while it needs a valid mot to reregister it as a Historic vehicle for log book change of class , earliest time you can apply at dvla is april 2024 for for a bike registered in 1983. hope this helps . I am also going through this process just hope when labour get back in power they dont cancel this ,that was one of the first things they did last time . !!!!

Tyres, ten years ago,I had a cbx750,I actually reckon your kat should be a 130 rear like the cbx750 and the cbx also had a 16 front. I always used Metzler's on it and no problem getting tyres for it

Errrr....... Things got in the way of restoring my YolkyFanny 750. I got my ex-gf's autistic son back into school, gave the Education system a heads-up, etc., I was too busy with my GSX750SE. Next you'll find a 1.3 MkII Golf that produces 100bhp+ instead of 36bhp because I built it.......
I have seen a Kawasaki GPZ1100 on youtube that stood with no plugs in it that the crankcase was filled with rainwater and that fella freed up the engine and got it running then went on a 3000km ride but the fuel injection ended up giving trouble he repaired the fuel injection and if I am not mistaken that bike is still running today th-cam.com/video/G9fPB2ZoHOc/w-d-xo.html
that old bike was not a great bike ,, it was a cheap near sport bike but not very fast , top price on one is about 3500 you will put more than that in rebuilding it ,

D registered bike is 86-85? of is it B registered its 40 from August 2024
Yes buddy I was confused with the manufacturing date.. Obvious the bike is registered a few years later than manufactured.
