    This was easy. Thanks for posting. Less that 10 minutes for my 2006 s60. Some videos said t-20, mine was t-25

    Super helpful. I wish all car repairs were as easy as this. Exact same procedure on my 2006 XC90. I was almost going to make a video about the process, but your video nailed it so there no point. Thanks so much! 😄

    Thanks buddy I’ve seen other Volvo repairs for the indicator stalk, it seems they are basically the same design as in my XC90, this video was very helpful.
    Cheers from Melbourne Australia

    if ur also doing the other stalk first u have to lightly pry it out (after unscrewing). Then putting it back in can be hard. I think I had the stalk all the way up and got the top part in first then connection part after. Took me a little bit but it works, don’t give up!

      Hello I have a question ! Is it the same process to fix the combination switch (the right lever behind the steering wheel) ?

  • @setnthahookwitstubbs297
    @setnthahookwitstubbs297 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Ok people be sure to check your turn signal switch carefully!!!! I received mine in the mail if you choose to save $$$ but i notice one of the circuit connects was slightly bent upwards!!!! Glad i looked it over before i put it in!!!! It would've broke or damage something that don't need fixed...lol but i STR8'n it out and it works perfectly fine!!!! Gotta watch out for lil BS like that!!! Peace out everyone!!! Oh and BTW. UNPLUG YOUR BATTERY B 4 U START REPLACEMENT!!!! FYI!!!!

      @Supertainment 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Why is it necessary to unplug the battery?

    The lever for my Volvo also snapped off when it happened so what do I do from there? Like you said to make sure it’s in an up position I can’t even do that. So how do I get it to slide out to replace it?

    • @MartinsUsedCarsCollectiblesLLC
      @MartinsUsedCarsCollectiblesLLC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would start the process and see if you can get it out without moving the lever. It’s worth a try.

    Thanks for your video, very easy. One question may be somebody may help. I bought a replacement 30658618 stalk switch but it turns out to be the wrong part number, it should be 30768097. Looks identical, but probably the circuit is different. I exchanged the circuits but it doesnt work, could it be that the cables are also different? (not only the circuit board)

      Jesus de la Torre - In our description below the video, there is a part number and a link to the part on Amazon. You can also check to see if it fits your car on Amazon in their product description.

    Seems like there are a lot of Volvo turn signal arms that develop cracks/breakage where the stalk meets the steering column. Ordered a replacement off of eBay and it arrived looking good until I found 2 cracks pretty much where the original one fell apart.

    When the turn signal is in the “down” position and breaks are applied, they stop working. Any suggestions?

    I replace my turn signal on s80 2005 and exactly like you did but it didn’t work. Any tip?

    • @MartinsUsedCarsCollectiblesLLC
      @MartinsUsedCarsCollectiblesLLC  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Check the connections, make sure it “clicks” into place when installing. If you bought a used part as a replacement, I would replace it with a new OEM part.
