She was my 5th grade teacher in 1990 and the loss of her life affected me in so many ways. Even today I watch this and grieve for her. She was such a special soul and made a huge impact on her student’s lives. I watched every minute of this trial online and just have extreme gratitude that some level of justice was served. Great job to the folks who worked so hard to take down her murderer.

Yes, I wonder if the police made public that handcuffs had been used. And if so, why didn’t Diana ever mention to the police that her husband drove around with handcuffs hanging from his mirror?

She just didn’t want to believe and or find out if was him and then have to deal with her guilt. Easier to lie to yourself and rationalize things away.

Exactly. But police should have investigated all former men in her life anyway.

This kind of devil can be outwardly charming and hide their true colors. In the video, you even hear of some ppl who didn’t believe he’s convicted of the crime cos he’s a “nice guy”. Only the victims know the real side of him. He never showed that side of him to his ex-wife. I’m sure we all hide things from our parents and they don’t even know half of the things we do even if we live in the same household.
A rape allegation in those days didn’t mean much unless there’s concrete evidence. It could be mutually-agreed sex but the girl regretted the sex the next day. That’s of course not the case here. But his ex-wife didn’t know and so gave him the benefit of the doubt.

Greetings from France. A close friend was s*xually assaulted last night. She's not doing well. The scumbag (a co-worker) was immediately fired but not arrested. He was sent back home with a "restraining order" until the case goes on trial in December. I'm afraid for my friend's life and will NEVER understand such leniency

Sexually assaulted, how? More details. Did they hang out together? Did he or she go to each other’s house?
