Honestly, if I try half the stunts you pull on the regular, I get a bot army shooting me lol
Same here. But the solos who post lvl 9 games seem to get the same behavior from the bots. So the only thing I can think of is that lvl 7 bots are somehow more alert to make lvl 7 difficult. But the higher you go, that alert lvl goes down, but the number of bots goes up, with a lot more elite bots mixed in.
🤷 Idk, but I definitely don't have the bots acting the same at lvl 7, as they do in lvl 9 videos.
There must be some hidden modifiers.
Or the TH-cam effect is in play. Where the solos fail 10 missions, but get one good run where everything lines up perfectly and that 11th run is the one that gets uploaded.

@@pointnemo72 It s extremely good positioning and dribbling of patrols in combinations with their smooth operating & strategem code input.
You probably know yourself when you re "in the zone" and play automatically.
I had instances where i should ve left a place 5 seconds earlier, which would have been possible if i called in drops or was operating the terminal just slightly faster. Instead i got locked into a firefight and almost got cut off by another patrol and surrouned by the incoming bot drops.
I comlpetely agree on inconsistancy of the difficulties, because i can have HELLISH lvl7 runs where i sweat almost constantly for the rest of the mission just because i accidentally kited into a point of interst.
But similarly to that i can also have extremly chill helldiver difficulty all clears where i threw 2x 380barrage and 2x orbital laser each into 1 command bunker, picked off scanner, jammer, aa platform and SAM battery or whatever - with some outposts taking air strikes and the remaining 380s - and boom 100% lvl9 difficulty done, only getting detected ONCE but never to be found again..
That was even before the Spear fix. However nowadays i use the Anti Material Rifle orAutocannon with stun grenades + no shield. Either heavy armor with explosion resistance or light scout armor can make this almost calming.
I wonder if the large shouldestrapped laser pointer will eventually get good, because for now even the railgun seems to have made a comeback after the nerfs..
I get one or two good runs out of 10 . Other times it’s frustration

The part at 10:39 is classic bot comedy. You're alone at the terminal, get shot in the back, and turn around to nothing and no shooting. Then turn back around to start the pump and get shot at again. Perfection.

SES Paragon of Perseverance here to report that 4:42 to 5:06 is a Helldiving Masterclass.
1. Despite an open shot to the back of a scout strider, SES Leviathan of Democracy patiently crawls closer..
2. even after then spotting a trooper, *literally the highest priority target*, they patiently crawled even closer..
3. to the eventual second trooper inside the bunker, after getting temselves further behind cover. Their scorcher is relatively silent, and their PATIENCE in 100% clearing any possibility of reinforcements being called in pays off BIGTIME
This is a reminder of why kill count is usually the least important statistic. There's no XP for kills; just objectives.

I don't understand why would you kite the bots at 42:50 like that. Instead of going through the rock gap where Berserkers came from and going behind those two Hulk's backs, you just looped around the perimeter, giving every bot time to be alerted to your presence, which almost cost you the entire mission.
Yeah that's what i call panic mode 🤣 looking at it now, i think i assumed that there might be more enemies coming from the left side compared to those few devastators i left behind me. Turned out i was wrong and left side was clear after those hulks passed. Luckily my guardian angel was still around 😎

I often like explosives myself and would use my auto cannon to blast me back while back diving sometimes in a bad situation. Now for some reason it and other explosives are SSUCKING ME IN to the EXPLOSION! The devs messed up something that actually really matters to me this time. Explosives blowing a user backward, not sucking them in. It kills some of the best fun and vibe about the game. The physics immersing you into the fun and what you can do with them.
What armor set do you have? Stealth or throwing ability????

If you time it with objectives, huge advantage. If you have a long way to run, disadvantage.
You have to bump right into a bot for them to notice you

That rocket bot on the extraction run almost got u chopped up! i gotta get better with the jump pack. i keep trying to use it for vertical, but looks more effective for horizontal distance. Nice game!

Not much. Striders are quite big and slow so i usually try to use terrain to get advantage

I could give a damn for stealth but I love sniping against all odds.
Just wish we'd get a sniper thats heavier, things got stupid recoil and sway which I enjoy just wish it had more thump with the bugs.

I struggle in difficulty 4 and you in 9 looks like a walk in the park.
equipment makes a huge difference. scorcher (last weapon you unlock on warbond) kills bots effortlessly. its honestly broken with how well it does on devistators and walkers and flexible for infantry.
before scorcher is unlocked tho,
support weapon can make it much easier or harder.
auto cannon makes a night and day difference. sniper is just as effective but the autoCannon is more forgiving, can flinch devistators which makes gatling guns less likely to headshot you the second you peakout.

that was intended. he triggered a bot drop at a location he could easily abandon so he could move on to the next area while taking advantage of the ~2:30 delay (with booster) before the next drop can be called.
helps draw bots away from where you need to be and give you a better safety cushion to engage and assassinate
