Great vlog and haul. To think books over the years have been skyrocketing like crazy its good to have thrift shops, target and walmart even amazon for inexpensive on sale books. 📚☕❄️
I am also collecting Nancy drew-surprisingly I’ve never read them but my girls and I used to play the computer games together and so the books bring back those memories ❤. I have found many of them at our local antique stores for less than $5.
@ As a lifelong Nancy Drew fan, I remember I was shocked when I learned that & wanted to pass along the cool fact!! I highly recommend the CW Nancy Drew TV series if you're interested! It's awesome!! There are also old school PC games I grew up playing that are still fun & somewhat popular, though not the best graphics! 😂
I have driven by that Value Center and always thought it was some old abandoned store lol. Apparently I’ve only driven by on Sundays when they are closed! I will definitely make a trek that way to check it out, they had a ton of books! Good thrifting!
I have been to a Salvation Army that has a decent book section but I guess it depends. You just have to go to a few different ones to see what they have.
Ah! I saw in your clip that your Goodwill had a hardback of Nicholas Evans' The Loop, which is one of my very favorite comfort reads of all time (probably shows my age, but I loooooove this book). I would have bought it in a heartbeat (I only have the mass market paperback)! Also - The Outsider is very good! Love me some Stephen King :)
@@alexamarmion Also you inspired me to go to the Arc Thrift store in my town, and I found two books that were already on my TBR list. So that was so fun!
The salvation army near me sells books for 40 cents to a dollar. They always have a couple of bookshelves full of books. I have found some amazing books in good condition.
I always also recommend going to your local library and checking out the store there! They have some great used books- and a plus is that you are supporting your library! Not to mention- I you can’t find anything you can literally just borrow one off the shelf of the literal library
Omg I know there were sooo many. I was thinking maybe people who liked those when they first came out have outgrown it and that’s why they’re always at thrift stores now
I'm curious about where you live? I don't know if it's because of the named organizations where you live or the prices are the way they are based on where you live. My local thrift stores usually have a decent amount of books. A lot of popular authors for $1 hard backs and .50c for soft backs.
I found 5 books and 4 of them are hardcovers at my local library sale for $1.25 total!!!
That's amazing!
I love thrifting books and board games! Great finds.
Thrifting is the best!
Great vlog and haul. To think books over the years have been skyrocketing like crazy its good to have thrift shops, target and walmart even amazon for inexpensive on sale books. 📚☕❄️
Thank you for watching! I agree, it's great to have options for cheaper books!

I love this! I did that with the little house on the prairie books :)
Love that!
Loved this vid! Helped me take a minute from prepping for exams! Keep up the great work ❤
Thank you! Good luck with your exams!
This was fun to watch!
Thank you!
You passed up the alchemist? That is a wishlist book for me.
I didn't realize it was such a popular book when I saw it... I may have to check it out sometime!
Fun video. Thrifting is definitely the way to go! ❤️📚
For sure!
❤ the bloopers
Thank you lol
Hey Alexa! That was a fun video. It looked like you did a great job for just $20!
Hi! Thank you so much!
Did you know Carolyn Keene was actually just a pen name and that a group of authors wrote the Nancy Drew books? 🤓
Woah you just blew my mind lol

@@alexamarmion I met one of them! She taught a writing workshop I took, and gave me the best writing advice I ever had
Those both sound awesome!
@@alexamarmionIt was😊
Wow, you found some great ones! I have a wonderful local thrift store that sells softcovers 4/1$ so that's where I usually pick mine up. 😊
Wow that’s a steal!

This one seemed like it was mostly clothes and kitchenwares so maybe I'll have better luck at a different store!
I’m glad I’m finally seeing other ppl also thrift for books at the Salvation Army LOL it’s like the only thrift store I have around me tbh so
I wanna try and visit some different locations around me that might have more books!
lovee thiss vid!
Thank you!
Great haul! Splendid savings!
Thanks! It was a good day for book thrifting!

I love when people point out books that I’m not familiar with! Thanks for sharing!

New subscriber!!
Hi! Thank you!
Wow! So many amazing books... jealous, can never find any good books
I hope you get to find some good ones soon!
that deal on yellow face was amazing!!
I know right? I definitely would’ve grabbed it if I didn’t already have it lol
Hidden Pictures. I want that.
I kind of regret not grabbing that one
@@alexamarmion it was suppose to be my book club choice but they said it would be too scary lol. Punks they are.

Yesss I am a big fan of the library!
Someone local to you either really loves or hates Diary of a Wimpy Kid 😂
Omg I know there were sooo many. I was thinking maybe people who liked those when they first came out have outgrown it and that’s why they’re always at thrift stores now

I'm in the Los Angeles area so I think prices tend to be a little more expensive here compared to some other places!
Um....what places did you go to specifically because I also live in the valley and want to know
Valley Value Center is in Van Nuys and The Salvation Army and Goodwill were both close by VVC but there are tons of locations all around!
Fun.
I just learned that the author of Colored Television is married to the author of James. 🤓
Woahhh that is some interesting info
so much diary of a wimpy kid 😭😭😭
I knowww I've never seen that many at once at the thrift
Wish my Goodwill carried books. 😢
Aw I thought they all did! Maybe one day!
I collect the hardy boy books’
Those are awesome too!
Reading yellow face on my phone and I’m trying to stay positive cause the start of it is not pulling me in yet
I hope you end up liking it!
its the way that nobody wants diary of a whimpy kid it was at every store you went to
I know everybody is over it apparently lol
Oh wow 1.99 for a book is a STEAL 🤯
I know right?
My local library has a whole bag for $1
