Even today I'm all about anything Beatles. I recognized so much of what you showed from when I was a kid in the 70's. Wacky Packages, Charlie's Angels, Starsky & Hutch, Creature Features, Bay City Rollers, Rat Fink, The Monkees. Thanks for the memory blast.
In the early 70s my mother found a stack of Beatles bubblegum cards for a quarter, at a local rummage sale. There were about 40 cards. I have about 20 left. Throughout the years, and moving around the country, they slowly got lost. I now keep them in a card album!
Super cool video, I also collect the Terror Tales and mostly the monster related cards and stickers. I just finished my Monster Initial and 1967 A&BC Ugly Stickers sets. Getting them all graded was very expensive then PSA didn't even recognize the Ugly stickers even though they just graded them.
I collect the older monster cards. I have complete sets of Creature Features/You'll Die Laughing 1959 (Jack Davis art, the 1st monster card set), 1973, and 1980, and Horror Monsters Green and Orange, Monster Cards (commonly called "Monster Blue"), Monster Laffs Midgees, Monster Laffs (full size), Spook Stories, Famous Monsters, Shock Theatre (Hammer), Outer limits, Addams Family, Dark Shadows 1st and 2nd sets, as well as many newer monster related sets. I always bought the whole sets from dealers, mostly from ads in The Wrapper for the older cards, as well as a few affordable wrappers and complete packs. I consider the card sets most important with the wrappers, packs, and display boxes as cool extras. Everyone collects differently, but I don't waste money on "graded" anything. I just sought out sets in excellent condition. I focus on monster items as you do. Good luck with collecting the cards.
Sounds like you have an awesome collection!!! I don't collect graded anything either, maybe if I were rich but since I'm not I'm just happy with the best I can find....my favorite is the display boxes, that artwork is just incredible 😊🧛
Would’ve love to go to something like this as a kid. This was my life back in the day. The prices at card shows always astound me, but I understand it (they are always willing to haggle likely) would’ve been a great window shopping day for me. Thank you for sharing this 👍
Cool video! It's awesome to see all those vintage cards. How many $15,000 boxes did you get? 😂 I have all the original star wars card sets from 77. Soooooo Biiiiiiiig!! Good stuff 👏 👍🏼
Never been to one of these show and after seeing the prices....... i never would attend. I pick up binders full of Marvel Masterpiece and other such desirable sets for 60$ tops. These prices making me gag a little 😅
Been collecting old non sport for 40 years. Be careful, cause a lot of the card series out there are garbage and once you own them, some are very hard to sell. Some wrappers I sat with for 5 to 6 years before they sold and some never did. The wrappers you picked up are nice and not too expensive. I was buying 1962 Mars attack sets in 1991 for $ 400 and real Mars attack wrappers back then for $250. Todays prices on a lot of this stuff are a sham. Next time you are looking to buy something, just drop me a line and I will let you know if its worth bothering with.
Thank You!! I appreciate it! I'm perfectly fine with lesser condition cards since I just want them to look at and don't care about the grade of them at all....to be honest I was pretty "sticker shocked" by a lot of stuff but I've also never been to a non sport show so don't know the going prices but $1200 packs seems a little excessive to me🙃🧛
A couple of nice wrappers that are cheap in the horror realm are the Creature Feature Wrappers and Fright Flicks wrappers has Predator, Freddy Kruger, and Pumpkinhead on the wrapper for like $2 each. They are pretty cool. The Fright Flicks card set is nice too and not expensive. Kinda like a modern day color Monster Midgees. Dinosaur Attacks set is nice if you like horror dinosaur combo. Cheap too. Alien Wrapper is like $5. Creature Feature and Monster Initial Wrappers are cheap as well. The monster Initial cards are no big deal though. Monster Chews wrapper are about $12 each. Weird Ohs wrapper and or cards are pretty neat. Munster wrapper is a bit more expensive around $35 but nice. Anyway, thats just a small sampling. Good luck!@@darkridedracula
Elton John “rookie card”. I laugh seeing sports card guys trying to do non sports cards. Do your homework, I suggest non sport update magazine. Some of those prices were ridiculous. Been collecting over 45 years. The wrapper magazine brings back memories.
Almost each and every items is marked up 200x what I would ever consider paying for a bit of nostalgia. Better off watching marketplace, yardsales and any local flea markets you may have.

What about the Flipbooks? I need a few more to complete my "connected" set. P.S. do you have all variations of the Rosan Famous Monsters?

You have the greatest YT name ever, Greedo
@animeanakin2304 thank you!
Could you tell me who the vendor was who was selling the "SHOCK MONSTER" card? Thanks
Unfortunately this was my first time here so I have no idea who any of the vendors were 😔🧛

Neat stuff…need to sell a kidney to afford most of it ..still neat
Way overpriced in my opinion

Even though you said "way"........ I feel like this is an enormous understatement 😅
