You aren't alone, Pixie. I lost a campaign one time because I was allied to Athens and at war with Egypt. I thought the armies surrounding my king were supporting Athenians. Man, was I wrong!

Something that might help you to distinguish Athens from Egypt is that Athen's emblem is the owl, which is related to the goddess Athena. The Egyptian bird is probably related to Egyptian mythology, Amon Ra or something. The two birds are quite different.
Pixelated Apollo can tell the difference between the two flags, but sometimes gets them mixed up in the moment due to his dyslexia

You could cast some MED2 Warhammer mod (BotET) battles as well. The mod itself is amazing and the new version is pretty stable as well.
The elephants are the MVP of this siege battle.

Everytime I see a total war video I want to boot up my PC and play it. I often do, too.
Well, everything upto Attila anyway. CA have gone way too arcady in recently that I just don't enjoy any of the recent titles. I could go as far to say I hate them (the recent titles, not CA).
@@sshep86 warhammer games ard great fun. Only sieges suck. And why would you not hate CA? They milk the hell out of people by making 10 dlc for each game. Also that troy game is garbage
@@neonknight-1522 True mate. I just feel that I have to have some level of loyalty. Truth is, I haven't played a game in a long while that I felt was worth the money. Playing red dead redemption 2 at mo, and I think that does quite well though. I reccomened the title if you are interested
The first battle which was Ai (besides prologue) and the 'desert legion' was the faction I was using and I was fighting a 4v15 in units and I won because I used the elephants

Good battle, get people to send in battles where they lose, or select battles where the player who sent it in Lost, it sucks always knowing who's going to win pretty much

What does the quality of the replay depend on? The original PC or Apollo's?
It doesn't really have to do much for either. It is just that replay's have always had a server problem for Rome 2 and isn't entirely dependent on the pc's used.

The capture points are awkward because they are not the original ones. They have been relocated to balance the maps. Initial they where in the most defend able locations.

What settings do you set for the graphics to look amazing? I’m using a Dell XPS and the graphics card is good but even with really good graphics my game doesn’t look as good. What’s the trick?
Ultra graphics and there is an in game shader that you have to toggle on or off

Apollo about the lag it could be because the antivirus is doing a scan or downloading an update at the same time youre in total war happens to me half the time
I'd still like to see battles from Warhammer, and more from Third Age, and everything else. I love the mixes. Whether you do it or commentate on someone else's. One week is samurai, the next is Rome, the following week is LOTR, and the week after is medieval combat, then we have Warhammer, etc....
And one other thing I'd like to see. Have two entire melee armies in a big open field, no tactics.....just have a big fight and see who wins based on numbers and troops alone. Massive armies too. Like those Hollywood films. Not saying such is particularly accurate, and it probably isn't most of the time, but it'll be fun to watch.

Thanks man! And yeah it's a problem a lot players face. They don't realize that elephants are an anvil like cavalry and not a fail safe for when the fight isn't going your way. They use them way too early

I wouldn't really call Massalia a barbarian faction imo, they're essentially a hyrbid greek colony/ barbarian faction, with the greek part being dominant. One can see this in their unit design.

I just got this game today and it’s so fun! No wonder you play it so much!
Total War is an amazing franchise. I have been hooked since the first Rome way back in 2004/5. I really recommend checking out the franchises catalogue. Empire and Napolean are pretty cool, same with Medieval 2 and Shogun 2. The newer titles I'm not so keen on, after Attila. They seem too arcady for me.

I used a VPN years ago to buy some games through steam. Mainly Russian because they were a third of the price as they are here in the UK (sometimes closer to a quarter of the price). Problem is, that they are then region locked and you can only play them with the VPN activated. Wasn't worth the hassle in the end. Also I think steam hAs cracked Down on such things now and will ban/deactivate your account if it keeps switching through regions all the time.
I want to see some Roman action, I'm tired of these faction bans. It makes sense for the tournaments but other than that Comon.
Yeah, I miss Rome as well. They could just ban all of the units after the Marian Reform.

I just hate the OP "Desert Kingdoms". It's clear they put far more effort into those factions than many in the base game.

I love TW Warhammer 2. Aside from siege battles and little too fast battles in general, it's very fun game and you can always slow the battle down.
