1:07 Having all the different whistles coming in individually is one of the coolest things I have ever heard in my life... The whistle is certainly as strong as the name suggests!
Good ol' Hercules, still tuggin after nearly a century. Carry on ma'dear. Edit: OVER a century, Hercules is 100 years old as of 2007 (Hercules was built in 1907)
The tugboat for its size is the most powerful craft afloat And the star tugs are the power behind the docks and industries that make up the bigg city port This is TUGS
Boy howdy, she's a loud one! The old girl chugs up very nicely. Amazing that she is still making her way through the currents after 100 years and counting. Great video!
@@buzzygaming7667 Hercules is actually based off of a steam tug in San Francisco of the same name. Here is a Wikipedia article covering that vessel: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hercules_(1907)
I wouldn’t know, but I think it’s one of the most beautiful I’ve heard. The only one that beats it is the whistle of the RMS Mauretania, which was built the same year. A high quality recording of it was made, as the whistle was sold to a mill after the ship was scrapped. It now rests with a collector.
0:58 Wait a minute! That doesn’t sound like the TUGS character at all. That’s a steam whistle, not a chime whistle. 1:11 Ahh, that’s our d’arly, sweet’art boy
As much as I love the sound of a steam locomotive’s whistle, this old steam tug is giving them a run for their money with this beautifully harmonic hooter!
This beauty I been on her and she is steamed up and she is treated with loads of love by here crew she can sail the waters 100 yearsago to current and 100 years and more to come

There are a lot of ships with impressive horns and whistles, but this is the only ship I know that also can giggle.
I revisit this every once in a while and absolutely L-O-V-E it! I wish Steam Tugs here in the US would do this lol

Boskov01 I think this is a different Hercules
SENPAI NOTICED ME!!!!!

Excellent video, m’dear. It’s nice to see the inspiration behind Hercules from TUGS.
Me: *Faints* ❤️v❤️
That ain't the Hercules's basis William

I'm pretty sure this is a different Hercules

Hercules's whistle sounds kinda like a combo of both the S.S Hercules's whistle and this tug's whistle to me
The whistle has a strong Union Pacific flavor to it
