Spray your casserole dish add turkey mixture. Top it with cheese then add the Au gratin potatoes. Mix together and top it with cheese. This is my favorite childhood dish. Funny thing I feel about tomatoes like you feel about onions except in this dish which used stewed tomatoes. Wierd right, I can eat them straight out of the can. We called this goulash but you know there a hundred of them. So you need 1 pound of hamburger, penny, 1 can of tomato sauce, 1/2 can of tomato paste or the whole one if you like. Then I add 3 cans of stewed tomatoes. Sometimes the pieces are big so you could cut them once. Don't mash or blend because then you lose the taste. Then spice it up. Smoked sausage and cheesy potato casserole! I have a feeling you may have made this one before because it's right up your alley lol. But if not I'm going to leave the recipe. Super easy and yummy. I added more cheese and sausage than they did tho ;) (and I cooked it a bit longer before and after adding the cheese. Ingredients 1 package shredded hash browns 26 ounce bag 1 cup sour cream 10.5 ounce cream of mushroom soup 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese divided 1/2 teaspoon pepper 1 teaspoon salt optional 1 pound smoked sausage sliced Instructions Pour hashbrowns into a large mixing bowl. Spread sour cream and cream of mushroom soup over hashbrowns. Season with salt and pepper by sprinkling over the top. Stir well. Add 2 cups of cheddar cheese and stir well. Spread in the bottom of greased 9 x 13 baking pan. Bake for 35 minutes at 350ºF Add remaining cup of cheddar cheese and sliced smoked sausage. Bake for an additional 15 to 20 minutes until the casserole is heated through and all of the cheese is melted well.
I use the same recipe as your Taco and Bean Casserole (without the top cheese) , but... I roll it in tortillas. I cover them with enchilada sauce and then use cheese as topping. Makes enough for a crowd and very filling! Give it a try.
You two are such good entertainment! Instead of burning the hair on your hand, take a paper towel and a pair of tongs and soak up the grease in the pan😉
The ends of the radishes are called the tops and tails. When instructed to remove them in a recipe, it’s referred to as “topping and tailing” your radishes. And a great trick for draining the grease from the pan after browning up any meat (beef, sausage, etc.) is balling up a paper towel and use a pair of tongs to grab the ball, scoot the meat over to one side of the pan, tilt the pan slightly so the grease drains to the other side and just soak up the grease with the paper towel. I always get all the excess grease up this way and never even need to repeat with a second paper towel, but you certainly could if your meat was very fatty. I find this way less messy than trying to pour the excess grease out, and it’s way faster than trying to scoop it all out with a spoon too! This taco recipe looks awesome, and I can’t wait to try it out! Thanks for sharing all of these, you guys!
I'm from Wisconsin and we say casserole and hot dish. My great GMA had a recipe for zucchini hot dish that my whole family loves. It's ground beef, a box of stuffing mix, cream of chicken soup, cheddar cheese, shredded zucchini. It's an amazing fall/winter dish that's very filling.
6 c. Diced zucchini 1 med. Onion 1 box stuffing 1pd. Ground beef 1 c. Sharp cheddar 1 c. Sour cream 1 can cream of chicken * heat oven to 350 Dice zucchini and onion Cook stuffing according to box Cook beef with onion until browned Mix all other ingredients together In 8x11 pan (sprayed) put 1/2 the stuffing on bottom of pan, pour zucchini mixturenon top, layer the last of the stuffing on top. Bake 45 min. Uncovered (If don't want red meat, can substitute with diced/rotisserie shredded chicken)
My mom always makes a casserole with hamburger 1 can of Campbell's tomato soup an cr of mushroom, seasonings then she puts in either cooked pasta or cooked potatoes puts in oven with mozzarella for about 20 mins so good .
🧀👍🏼❤️😋 That was a 13 cheese tortellini dish. The sauce had 4 cheese, the pasta had 5 cheese, plus the cream cheese, mozzarella , parmesan and Romano cheese.
These recipes look so incredibly good Jessica! 😍 Such a great variety of flavors in each one!😘 I love casseroles and all the indepth flavors you get from them!😋 I just tried a recipe from another TH-camr and I added a couple of extra things to it. Spaghetti and Meatball Casserole Take a 9x13" casserole dish and put uncooked pasta in bottom of dish. You can use spaghetti, penne or whatever you like or have on hand. I used bowtie pasta. Then pour pasta sauce over the pasta. Add 2 cups water and 2 cups of milk. Sprinkle garlic powder, Italian seasoning and salt over mixture. This is when I added a cup of cottage cheese. Stir all the ingredients together and place meatballs on top in a single layer. Cover the dish tightly with foil and bake 40 minutes at 350°. Remove foil and cover with mozzarella and parmesan cheese and return to oven for 10 minutes or until cheese is melted. I made this using frozen meatballs and it was so good. Using a jar of pasta sauce makes it so easy to make anytime. And you don't have to precook the meat or pasta. And who doesn't have frozen meatballs in the freezer all the time!😚 Once you've made it, you can see if there's anything else you want to add. After I made it, I told my friend about adding the cottage cheese and she loved it! I love it when you bring us several recipes at a time! It's always fun to watch you two in the kitchen, especially when you show us great things to eat!😁 Thanks for sharing another great video!🥰
Favorite Casserole is Brenda Gant's cabbage Casserole. It's a side dish & soooooo good!!! Also my Mother's hamburger casserole that came from the back of a box of pasta or the side of a can, back in the early 1960's It is a ground beef & pasta dish. Super simple & delish!!!
Me over here watching him without that guard 😮😱😨. A tip for the mandolin...try turning it the other way so you're slicing away from the body. Also, a tip for draining grease that I learned from TH-cam, use paper towels in the skillet so nobody spills or gets burned.😅 hope this helps
Hi Jessica I think it is time for you both to start thinking about a cookbook with all the recipes you both have tweaked and found that it tastes exceptionally good with the tweaks. You could probably call it "Hanging out with the O'Donoghue's". I know it would be a really big project but I believe it's doable. Are you both up for the challenge? You may have to go way back to older episodes to compile it. You could also include some recipes from both of your parents that you really liked and have tweaked.
Drink pickle juice for heart burn. The instant it hits ur stomach, it will be gone. If no pickle juice, then drink a little vinegar. I would say about 1/4 cup & the same for Dill pickle juice 😊
I 100% agree with @jillsipocz3582 on their description of what a casserole is!! I've lived in Alaska for 57 (of 61) yrs and I've always called them "Casseroles", not "hot dishes" but have heard it called that before. Love u two and ur pure joy in being with each other!!♥️♥️♥️
Just add a little cucumber a little radish with a touch of bunky 😂.. My favorite casserole is when I take sliced potatoes and kielbasa & cheese layered in a pan then you take a cup of milk mixed with two Tablespoons of flour and pour over bake at 350 for 45 min it’s so good
Love watching you and Bucky, Enjoyed your RV trips, Being from Kentucky we love visiting Paducah. My hubby loves that they don't try and destroy there old buildings, but restore,
You all made my nacho casserole except I layer refried beans on the bottom, a layer of sour cream, a sprinkling of cheddar, then the taco meat with about 2 cups of colby jack on top. I bake it at 425 for 20 min and serve with tortilla chips. 😊 I also love Tatertot casserole is awesome! You can make it with multiple different things. Mix ground beef, a couple of cans of cream of whatever you want soup (i use cream of mushroom and celery), 2 cans of drained vegetables, sauted onion and garlic, a cup of shredded cheese of choice, top with frozen tatertots, and more cheese then bake @400 for about 20-25 min. Tastes so good. I always doctor it up with added seasonings like italian seasoning, kinders and a touch of ceyenne. The key is to heat the meat and all the rest so it’s warm when you put it in the 9x13 pan to bake and basically you are heating it through and crisping the tatertots and cheese on top. Going to have to try that sourcream noodle bake! Looks fantastic!! ❤
Y’all two crack me up!!!! ❤ my favorite casserole is one my mom made and I make it now but its a bit complicated so it’s too much to put on here but it’s a baked chicken casserole made with chicken breast, cream of celery soup, cornbread and a lot more and we have it with rice, gravy and cranberry sauce!!!!! ❤
@@jessicaodonohue it really is it’s just a lot of steps to get it right. Boiling your bone in breast, de bone the chicken, making the white cornbread (not yellow) cream of celery soup, broth from the chicken. Bread crumbs, rubbed sage, pepper, onion if you want it mix it all up and bake it covered at 400 for 30 minutes then 20 minutes uncovered.
our family has done a riff on a tuna casserole bake and scalloped potatoes as a casserole, so everything you need to make a good potato scallop or potato gratin add 2 cups of sour cream, and a bit tin of flaked tuna, we prefer the tuna in spring water, drain that, you can either mix the tuna and sour cream in with the scallop potatoes or to make it fancy we layer it like a lasagna, so potatoes layer, cheese, then the tuna and sour cream mix and keep going, and add spring onions on top and added cheese on top!
You 2 are so funny. I love watching your channel ❤. You really make my day so much brighter when you have videos 😊😊. Even the other kids in the neighborhood loved it and would ask for seconds!
I call that homemade hamburger helper
@kekej9348 yes, but coming from a German Austrian background it was Goulash. Hamburger helper looks to be Goulash rebranded and packaged for convenience. I promise my mom learnd to make it from her mom way before Hamburger helper was ever around
Always use the guard😊when slicing anything
I love this episode. You two were having so much fun and made me laugh so many times. Lol and the recipes are scrumptious!! Never change. I love to watch the two of you cook and laugh!! Perfect!!
I agree!! They are a HOOT!
Three teaspoons in a tablespoon Ms Jessica....FYI. Mr. Buckie please be careful ! Love watching you two. You are so funny 😅. Brightens up the day. Plus the yummy recipes is a bonus !! I don't always get to catch you but I try.
A casrolle is usually a one dish meal. And baked in the oven. Mr. Buckie described it well. Take care you two.
Y’all are as funny as Lucy and Ethel! Love both of your channels.
You guys are a hoot! I love watching you together ,and love the delicious meals you share with us!
The Pioneer Woman's noodle bake is absolutely outstanding! It's one of my family's favorite dishes! Even my picky 7 year old ask for seconds!
It’s a fave in your house too!
Cottage cheese and pineapple 😋

Smoked sausage and cheesy potato casserole! I have a feeling you may have made this one before because it's right up your alley lol. But if not I'm going to leave the recipe. Super easy and yummy. I added more cheese and sausage than they did tho ;) (and I cooked it a bit longer before and after adding the cheese.
Ingredients
1 package shredded hash browns 26 ounce bag
1 cup sour cream
10.5 ounce cream of mushroom soup
3 cups shredded cheddar cheese divided
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon salt optional
1 pound smoked sausage sliced
Instructions
Pour hashbrowns into a large mixing bowl.
Spread sour cream and cream of mushroom soup over hashbrowns. Season with salt and pepper by sprinkling over the top. Stir well.
Add 2 cups of cheddar cheese and stir well.
Spread in the bottom of greased 9 x 13 baking pan. Bake for 35 minutes at 350ºF
Add remaining cup of cheddar cheese and sliced smoked sausage. Bake for an additional 15 to 20 minutes until the casserole is heated through and all of the cheese is melted well.
Do you start with frozen or thawed hash browns?
@@2twinnana442 I use thawed so that they aren't clumped together at all. Comes out perfect!
Sounds amazing!! What temp & for how long do u cook it at??
I get nervous anytime I see Bunky near a mandolin. They just don’t play well together.
6 c. Diced zucchini
1 med. Onion
1 box stuffing
1pd. Ground beef
1 c. Sharp cheddar
1 c. Sour cream
1 can cream of chicken
* heat oven to 350
Dice zucchini and onion
Cook stuffing according to box
Cook beef with onion until browned
Mix all other ingredients together
In 8x11 pan (sprayed) put 1/2 the stuffing on bottom of pan, pour zucchini mixturenon top, layer the last of the stuffing on top.
Bake 45 min. Uncovered
(If don't want red meat, can substitute with diced/rotisserie shredded chicken)
My mom always makes a casserole with hamburger 1 can of Campbell's tomato soup an cr of mushroom, seasonings then she puts in either cooked pasta or cooked potatoes puts in oven with mozzarella for about 20 mins so good .
you two are a hoot together! i love you guys!
We call the pioneer women’s recipe cheesy beef casserole and it’s delicious!!
🧀👍🏼❤️😋 That was a 13 cheese tortellini dish. The sauce had 4 cheese, the pasta had 5 cheese, plus the cream cheese, mozzarella , parmesan and Romano cheese.
I love watching y’all but..going to rewatch with my hubby. Y’all are laugh out loud funny!!😂😂🤣🤣❤️❤️
Get a cut proof glove to use with the mandolin. Much less clunky than using the guard.
I’m glad you’re so normal! I love you both! Btw I love your recipes too!
Going to try all of these...one will be for dinner tonight....love all of your recepies and love your channel
I’m from the Midwest and we call them casseroles. Lol hot dish made me laugh!! Love these recipes. Thank you.
You guys are absolutely the cutest
To drain your grease just use a paper towel and tongs and run your paper towel around the bottom to absorb the grease.
I learned that trick from Julia pacheco and use paper towel when there's just a little bit, but not when there's that much.
3 tsp = 1 tbsp
These recipes look so incredibly good Jessica! 😍
Such a great variety of flavors in each one!😘
I love casseroles and all the indepth flavors you get from them!😋
I just tried a recipe from another TH-camr and I added a couple of extra things to it.
Spaghetti and Meatball Casserole
Take a 9x13" casserole dish and put uncooked pasta in bottom of dish.
And who doesn't have frozen meatballs in the freezer all the time!😚
Once you've made it, you can see if there's anything else you want to add.
After I made it, I told my friend about adding the cottage cheese and she loved it!
I love it when you bring us several recipes at a time! It's always fun to watch you two in the kitchen, especially when you show us great things to eat!😁
Thanks for sharing another great video!🥰
Oh My! All of these look so delicious. I must try the Ree Drummond casserole for sure! Thanks for Sharing
Casserole is when three or more ingredients are use in a baking dish, also known as a hot dish ❤️❤️❤️
Mexican cornbread casserole ❤
Chicken Pot Pie Casserole!
I am going to make the tortellin, but instead of regular cream cheese, I am going to use garlic and herb cream cheese.
Mexican Chicken Casserole is my favorite. I could eat it every day.
Me over here watching him without that guard 😮😱😨. A tip for the mandolin...try turning it the other way so you're slicing away from the body. Also, a tip for draining grease that I learned from TH-cam, use paper towels in the skillet so nobody spills or gets burned.😅 hope this helps
Stay safe. Hope you aren't in line of the storm.
Enjoyed this video.
Good morning you precious people love you too ,you make me laugh ❤️❤️🙏
Our favorite casserole is Zucchini Mozzarella Casserole. It is so simple and so delicious
I always love a new “Bunkey” video
If you put mayo as soon as you get burt it helps a lot and you won't bubble or scare
Interesting! Hopefully won’t need to ever use this truck but good to know just in case! Thanks for watching and hope you have a great week! 🥰🍁
Add ginger! Dorota brand makes it in tiny cubes you keep in freezer. Easy! Trader Joe’s Carrys it and lots of stores.
Taco spaghetti is one of my favorite casseroles.
I would not include that typo in the title of a book but good idea.
BUFFALO CHICKEN CHILI CHEESE MAC...AAAMMMMAZING
My favorite casserole is Tuna Noodle Casserole. Love you two so much, you make me laugh so hard.❤️
Love u two and ur pure joy in being with each other!!♥️♥️♥️
My family loves the Saucy Twist Pork Dish! It's super easy to make and takes about 40 mins total to bake!
Yes! I love cottage cheese as a side dish.
Your laugh is like a ray of sunshine! I laugh right along with you…every time!
Haha, thank you 😆 🥰 and the recipe you mentioned sounds delicious!
@@jessicaodonohue hey, just so you know, some A**HAT is posing as you and saying that I won something...I reported the scammer, but wanted you to know
That sounds like chicken and cornbread dressing. ❤
@@callonthenameofjesus1459 yeah I think that is what it’s called and man is it good with some gravy and cranberry oh boy!!!!!
I recommend you try gochujan chili paste. Bunky would love it I think.
our family has done a riff on a tuna casserole bake and scalloped potatoes as a casserole, so everything you need to make a good potato scallop or potato gratin add 2 cups of sour cream, and a bit tin of flaked tuna, we prefer the tuna in spring water, drain that, you can either mix the tuna and sour cream in with the scallop potatoes or to make it fancy we layer it like a lasagna, so potatoes layer, cheese, then the tuna and sour cream mix and keep going, and add spring onions on top and added cheese on top!
Awesome recipes, thanks for sharing ❤️👍❤️👍❤️
You 2 are so funny. I love watching your channel ❤. You really make my day so much brighter when you have videos 😊😊. I just wanted to tell you, when you cook ground beef, you should wait to season your meat after you drain the grease out. Otherwise, your grease is taking away seasoning you’ve added. I hope that makes sense to both of you 💕🙏🙏
Agreed! I thought... why isn't the meat grease drained before adding spices?
I always drain the grease before adding my spices.
My mother did to!
Great recipes! I suggest a Mix’n Chop utensil from Pampered Chef to chop up the ground beef. It’s my favorite utensil. My favorite casserole is a Mexican Casserole.
😂 I was cracking up with your poor husband's mishaps! Glad he made it through the show!
I’m dying here! Bunky needs to back away from the stove! 🤣😂❤️
I seen that mandolin and had flashbacks! My mother in law had gotten one and we were all standing around talking while I was slicing potatoes and bam almost sliced the tip of my pinky clean off but did slice it pretty good to where I needed stitches! Needless to say I fainted from the shock and my finger healed with a pretty good scar 😂
Love love love Bunkys tshirt--- Dutton Ranch!!!. & love ya both!!!

A casserole is just a one dish meal in my opinion. Growing up my Grandmother made a macaroni casserole and my Mom always made Squash casserole, Broccoli Casserole and after Thanksgiving she made a Turkey and stuffing casserole. We grew up on casseroles. I recently came across a homemade chili Mac casserole recipe that you top with cornbread, think I’m going to try that 😋
yummie , thanx for sharing have a great day
I use a knife proof glove on my old mandolin. It was made before safety guards. Fortunately I never cut myself before I got the glove
Thank you , you always make my day!😄 I was laughing so hard. Its a good day when the Bunkeys are cooking it up! Great recipes too.
