    I got my foolproof method from Rachael Ray years ago to make hard boiled eggs. I put the eggs into a pot of water,bring that to a boil, turn the pan off, cover it, leave it on the burner for 10 minutes and then take the eggs out and put them into ice water. Perfect hard boiled eggs every time.

      Works literally every time!

      This is how I finally learned to make the perfect hard boiled eggs. They never overcook this way...no chance of that dark ring.

      @@evelyngarcia8015 I put might straight from the fridge into cold tap water (not ice water) and then bring to a boil on medium heat, not high heat - this prevents them from cracking)

      I’m diabetic so I eat boiled eggs often and this is how I make them except I cook them a few minutes longer. But then, I do buy large eggs!

    I worked at Arby’s for years, that looked pretty spot on for an at home version. They do toast their buns, which will help prevent the sandwich from becoming soggy 😊 and the sauce on the sandwich is called red ranch, which is basically Catalina or French dressing.

    • @cumberlandquiltchic1
      @cumberlandquiltchic1 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Yeah, toasting the bun is a necessity. I can’t get over restaurants who don’t toast buns! Or, they burn them and send them out. It’s one extreme or the other.

      I worked at Arby's in the late 70s when I was a junior in high school. I loved the red sauce on a super roast beef. 😋 Very similar to Catalina dressing with a sweetness to it.

      It actually use to be very good in 70s and 80s. I tasted sone about 2 years ago and it was awful! Totally different. Dry, not much meat, bun not toasted, sauce didn’t seem the same.

    When I make hard boiled eggs I pour cold water over them so it covers all the eggs. Then boil. Once boiling, take off heat and let sit for 22 minutes. Perfect every time! I think I got this way from the Betty Crocker cookbook. Then rinse with cold water.

    I’ve always had the worst time with cooking hard boiled eggs because they’re such a pain to peel, BUT my sister showed me a FOOLPROOF method in the instant pot and I swear by it now. It’s called the “5/5/5 method” but I ended up doing “4/4/5” and they were perfection and peeled effortlessly. 4 minutes pressure cook, 4 minute natural release, 5 minute ice bath! They’re perfect and are insanely easy to peel!

    I do the Laura Vitale method!! Put eggs in water, THEN bring water to a boil. Let them boil 1 minute. Take off heat and cover with lid for 10 minutes!! Once the timer goes off, drain off the hot water, and put on cool water to handle the eggs. DONE! Easiest way and they’re fully done, no green yolk and no jammy yolk either! 🙂

    When I was young, I didnt know how to boil eggs either
    We rented from a sweet woman who was a great cook and she told me how. Make sure you buy your eggs about 4 or 5vdays before your goingbto boil them , cause they peel better . Cover your eggs in cold water , bring to a boil and boil 1 minute ,turn off the heat, cover with a lid leavingbthe pot on the same burner you boiled it on for 15 minutes. Then place the eggs in cold /ice water. Been using it for almost 50 years. Works everytime

    Eggs: Put room temperature eggs into a pot and add water. As soon as it comes to a boil turn it off. Let them sit for 12 minutes with a lid on. Then put the eggs in ice water.
    Also, when you peel the egg run a spoon under the shell for easier peeling.

    I’ve tried it all with regards to “perfect” eggs. However I have found the easiest wY is to HEAVILY salt your water, put in the eggs, bring to a boil and cover. Turn off and let it shot for 12-13 minutes. Rinse in Cold water and the shells literally will just slide off as soon as you crack it. Works every single time!!!

    If you put your egg from the fridge into a pot of cold water and then bring them to a boil, shut the heat off and put a lid on the pot and let them sit on the burner for 20 minutes. Then empty the water and fill the pot with ice cubes and add some water and let sit about 10-15 minutes. Then peel. I do this and eggs are perfect every time. Give it a try Jessica🥰

    Ever since I bought a small instant pot and tried making eggs in it, I will not ever try to do them on the stove again. You just put a cup of water and small amount of oil in the instant pot and then your eggs. After they are done, put them in a cold water bath for a couple minutes. The shells just peel right off. Something to note is that the fresher the eggs, the longer you need to keep them in the cold bath. I use organic farm fresh brown eggs and leave them in the cold water bath for about 3 minutes.

  • @carolr9530
    @carolr9530 ปีที่แล้ว

    Get yourself an instant read digital thermometer for when you are cooking meats. You won't need to throw your chicken in the oven after pan frying. Internal temp of chicken should be 165. When it gets to 160, you can remove it from heat and let it rest to finish cooking. No more over cooked meats. I also do my hard boiled eggs in the air fryer.

  • @jillgross6232
    @jillgross6232 ปีที่แล้ว

    Here's my method, it works every time. Make sure they sit in the fridge a week or two. Then boil your water. With a large slotted spoon and gently lower them into the water. Turn heat to medium cook for eight minutes. Then take them and drain water, put them in an ice bath, allow them to cool 20 minutes. Peel and enjoy!❤❤❤
    I use dukes nayo too, but love Kraft as well, lol!😂

    I make hard boiled eggs in the Instant Pot for 2 minutes, then put them in ice cold water for about 15 minutes. The shells always just slide right off after tapping the ends and then rolling the egg back & forth on the sides. I will never go back to boiling eggs on the stove in a saucepan again. I do 12 eggs at a time, using the mesh basket & adding only 1 cup water before cooking for the 2 minutes. I keep extra hard boiled eggs in fridge for my low carb diet.

    Hey…guys, watching other Chefs, I heard 1 lady say that if you needed your cold eggs to be somewhat room temperature, put them in some warm water, not hot, just warm water in a bowl for a few minutes. Good luck. And when you baked bacon in the oven, before you do..put some parchment paper on your sheet pan then lay your bacon on the sheet pan. It helps with the bacon splattering. Good luck.

    What amazing sandwiches you two just made! 😍
    Each one as incredible as the next! 😘
    And they all are worth trying! 😋
    With Mr B's passion for making sandwiches, I keep thinking he's kin to Dagwood! 😚 Never have I seen someone who loves creating sandwiches so much!🥪
    And just like always, you've made me hungry and happy! 😁
    I know you're getting everyone's description for boiling eggs so I won't tell you what you've read fifty times. But I do like the 5-5-5 method in the pressure cooker! Whatever method you use, just add salt to the water. ☺️ And you don't need to bring the eggs to room temperature if using tap water.
    Now I'm going to dream about lovely sandwiches tonight! 🤤😪
    Thanks for sharing another delicious video! 🥰

    Tip for boiled eggs, add a little more water. You want them covered by an inch and more for many eggs

    I have had some of that deli chicken and made hot sliders with it it is very good. And if you watch the video you turned off the eggs right after you put them in the boiling water you forgot the 4 minute boil and the 10 minute stand time. I put cold eggs in in boiling water (it's an easy peel must )then boil for 12 sit for 2 then cold water or try your dads times again.

    Walmart just started carrying Dukes Mayo. I was raised on Hellmans Mayo. In our house it was the mayonnaise of choice.
