This is so good! I have conflicting thoughts on whether I ship Cassandra and Rapunzel or Eugene and Rapunzel. For many reasons and I won’t go on rant because I always do that. But lemme just say I think I would like Cassunzel better mostly just because I hate Eugene and he annoys the hell out of me.
I love Eugene!... But only in the film, I don't know for me he's so annoying in the series... And when the writers tried to give him an arc in the series they made his situation worse, he is practically "Rapunzel's fiancé". They took away all his personality and really... When I watch the series I feel that Cassunzel is much more of a mature and concrete love than Eugene with Raps who basically fell in love with the first guy she saw (speaking of which, I don't really like that in movies in general 😶) For example, I much prefer to see an idiot in love with his friend (Branch of Trolls) than a love lasting a day or a week (Disney princesses)
For real I agree. Yeah he seemed kinda dumb and pushy in the series and but trying t8 make Eugene and Rapunzel have a healthy relationship it just kinda failed idk. I love the flirty best friend kinda thing she had with Cassandra and the fact that it shows not just a bad choice but a full on bad time in someone’s life that Raps and Cass stuck through together.
