Believe It or Not, Jimi was in an Army Airborne Division before his musical career. I have seen copies of his Army Psychiatric Report, and all I can say is "What were they thinking putting him in an Airborne Division!" The report indicates they seemed to be trying to accommodate him, but he was totally beyond reach. Both Jimi and the Army psychiatrists were crazy, especially in light of Jimi's bizzare behavior, which I'll not elaborate upon.
Jimi was just trying to get an early discharge from the Army, and figured out a way to get one...he acted slovenly, acted "gay" in front of a few of his fellow soldiers, and so he achieved his early -out, after 13 months of service...BTW, he had chosen to become a paratrooper, when he enlisted.
He suffered alienation/abuse as a child...I believe his innate sorrow is what infuses his music so touchingly. For awhile, he was able to turn "water into wine", so to speak. Then he died.

Happy birthday Jimi🎸🎸
Thanks for everything Jimi.
You changed my life for the better.
Jimi Hendrix was so cool.and talented without a doubt. RIP JIMI HENDRIX
You can tell he's smiling as he speaks constantly. He was such a happy guy
3:58 hey, that was from the Kurt Cobain Blank on Blank
Yeah ikr :)
Awe man he was such a good interview. And I bet he would have just loved this animated interpretation. Thank you so much!
I am sure he would!...Check out some of Jimi's sketch artwork, and his painting he did while in High School...he enjoyed reading comic books, and also reading SCI-Fi novels.
Honestly a beautiful person
Thank you very much. The animation helps further bring to life Jimi's great sense of humor and insight into life, the universe, and everything.
This video showed me the human side of jimi. I always saw him as this untouchable legend but he was really just a normal guy
His attitude is so refreshing
He had probably the heaviest song of the century with "machine gun"
t I'd say the stooges search and destroy personally but I get your point
I disagree
Nah 21st century schizoid man was or rondo by the nice
He couldn’t stay there though. He had to keep evolving.
Whistle Blower unbelievable and such a powerful song
It’s so crazy how he just talks about what he’s gonna do like any normal person, zero idea that he was gonna die the next week
He sounds so incredibly humble. The worlds worse off without him❤️
Man i'm really digging these animations! Jimi's an eternal Legend!
Thanks for this. I love that man so much.
I love how playful he was when he talked. Just like his music, playful. Playful and optimistic, not super cynical, it's so refreshing to this day.
I have never heard Jimi's voice before very soothing
0:37 lol I don't remember Jimi having a beer belly!😂
He was so chill and intelligent
His voice has some melancholy in it, kind of like his soul is blue.
He suffered alienation/abuse as a child...I believe his innate sorrow is what infuses his music so touchingly. For awhile, he was able to turn "water into wine", so to speak. Then he died.
Love his laugh. Thankful I got to hear his laugh.
His voice personifies humility. A great human being.
His voice is amazing!
"when it gets too heavy it's going to be helium" prophetic of '80s shit rock!
His laugh is so humble and pure.
i feel this is a re-up but still a fun watch
+obamaslilbro :/ is it diminished somehow if re-uploaded?
WELL DONE! Cleverly crafted and choreographed. WAY COOL graphics. AND OF COURSE, there are no "uncool" Hendrix interviews. EPIC!
Thank You,
Ted Furlo
He would cry tears of joy if he tried vr
Such an incredible artist. I wish we could have heard more from him.
A shame he died young. The world needed someone like Hendrix to keep the PEACE.
Rock In Paradise...James Marshall!! Thank you for the awesome jams!!
How does this not have more views?
wow that was a really cool visual beautiful to my ears and light and fun to my eyes, loved it. I could listen to that interview a thousand times his voice softens my emotions when there out of control. He's my mindfulness.
"Freaks, they're very prejudiced... You have to have your hair long and talk a certain way..."
Our society has long been more concerned with "image", rather than "substance".
This is so awesome
And when the music got too heavy,
just like helium,
he flew away.....
I've been binge watching a bunch of the episodes all day and i just found this channel today
i also just love the animation in all this
