Bad in wet to Blea Tarn , done it .Vids like yours save folk having bad rides ! 👍As i mentioned in Rigg Beck vid did Middleton in Teesdale to High Cup Nick then back in hills at Hilton over to Swindale,Dogber Tarn and back ,BW posts there but was 2 foot of heather , never used , no track at all ,good to get 1 of those in now and then though ,i said never again but i would go back 😊😊gets you fit !!!

Howling Andy. I looked at this a few weeks back and the general consesus on Singletrack was alike to removing ones own nethers with a blunt spork as it may be moist .. Thanks for proving my decision right :)

There is nothing really over Watenlathe fell that isnt boggy or boring, perhaps a grasmire to the Langdales and up and over Rosset gill ? that would drop you nicely into Rosthwaite ? .@@TrailFinder

Nice one, the weather was much better than when we did Green up. I've been over by Blea tarn a number of times and always say never again . 👍

Knew green up had potential after we did it, was far to slippy that day, but a great challenge on dry hot rocks

You must have legs like Fatima Whitbread getting up those climbs 😂 Well done, looked brutal in some parts.

Ive been meaning to explore over Greenup for a while, looks less boggy than i feared it might be.
For the return loop, its a bit long but how about up to Grizedale tarn and down to Glenridding, then up to Dockray and the Old Coach Road followed by Walla Crags?

I’m really fit Paul, and I was done in after this ride, doing the route you suggested is a bit much

I’d like to try the other one you did. Greenup edge with stakes pass. Bad conditions for you though that day but looked a cracking adventure ride. Would you attempt that one again in better conditions?

Mmmm it was ok, the descent from snake pass was nothing amazing, I think this ride, but continue up the road to Keswick (walla crag)is the route to do, you get to do green up edge and the best bits of the borrowdale bash that way

Nice ride. So inspiring! I just wondering, what kind of tires you are using on your bike?

That climb up from Thirlmere is a nightmare, lol.
Did it one soggy day a couple of years ago and I vowed never again.
      Super effort.

Doing well, mate. Getting across the Lakes whenever I can.
To take in Greenup Edge I go: Grasmere, Langdale, up Rossett Gill, past Sprinkling Tarn and into Seathwaite, then return via Greenup.
      Pretty committing, though.

I recently put Schwalbe magic Mary and big Betty on my mountain bike, however I found the pair to be a bit on the heavy side anyone know a better alternative? I found the big Betty to be especially heavy.

I use Nobby Nic front and rear for all scenarios. even kept them on for my recent trip to the alps at Morzine, awesome tyres
