How to replace and fix broken audio cable on Beats EP Headphones at Home DIY. Typical problem when One Side or mic of Beats ep Headphones not Working. Cable is physically a broken and it needs a repair. Unfortunately for the beats ep model, you can't just unplug and replace aux audio cable. you can do that on beats solo and studio headphones, but not beats ep. First of all thx for the great vid. But two question remain for me.
1st: at 2:18 you say 'find somewhere an old single wire'. Whats that for? Prolongation of the old wires? Ain't it possible to use the rest of the old cable?
2nd: how to identify the right old cable colors. I see 2x gold, red and blue, while you say the new one has 2xred, gold and blue... any hint how to identify the right connections?

Hello, my headphones arent broken but those 2 rubber pieces that are holding the wires are loose and its causing the adjustment sticks to fall off, is there anyway to fix it? Only the left one is broken.
