The name of the fighter jet, Charlie Foxtrot, is military slang for "clusterfuck", which is a reference to the disastrous situation which Jeremie and the pilot find themselves in during the episode, as Charlie and Foxtrot are the radio call signs for the letters C and F, respectively. The fighter jet in the episode is an F-15D Eagle, but the French Air Force does not employ any version of the F-15. The F-15D Eagle controlled by X.A.N.A. is seen launching an AIM-7 Sparrow at the Factory. This missile cannot operate on GPS Guidance, let alone attack ground targets, as the Sparrow is, as the name states, designed for Air-to-Air combat.
Considering how much Xana specter can augment a living being or even machinery at times. It wouldn't be surprising if somehow Xana did manage to find a way to guide the missile to its target.
One of my favorite episodes. Even though it's a filler episode, I love how it has so much great action and animation, from the Lyoko scenes to the jet fighters.

in case anyone was curious about the coordinates, like me, they're for the saint-laurent nuclear power plant in france. a bit northeast of that is what looks to be an air force base (it's blurred out on google earth so that's my assumption) and the city of orléans, where the show might take place. i know the factory is based on an almost identical real building, so perhaps that's where it's located. either way, it's cool that the writers used coordinates that make sense for the setting

Forest odd was alone he was getting overwhelmed and when she did get captured they had no idea what was happening 2. Desert he had lost his sword and only had some rocks to defeat like 5 monster and he was able to beat all of them expect she got away at the last second 3. Ice to fix the super computer 4. Mountain cause of evil clone that messed up the super computer so bad they couldn’t do anything by the time jeremy could fix it it was too late 5. sector 5 well William is and always will be too op crazy powers and moves which are super super op So while she does have cool powers she’s not the most talented cause she was always so weak in almost every season
KXD! ulrich got his ass beat by william just as many times as the others & the writers favored him among the rest of the lyoko warriors, which was biased as fuck.
I love how Ulrich anticipated exactly where William would be. Also, this whole plot could have been avoided if Aelita did what she did in Hot Shower and just stayed in the factory.
I don't think so because XANA would have still gotten rid of Jeremy if Aelita hadn't deactivated the tower. Sure, he might call off the missile attack on the factiory; however, I don't hink he would have done the same for crashing the jet.

@Crystal Kanashii most likely yes. it's been demonstrated a few times people can unwillingly enter towers, even if they're activated by XANA. in episode the lake Yumi was shot into one by a krab and then kicked out of it by william.
Those are the kind of episodes (together with the Shooting Satellite one) just show you that XANA is playing with them most of the time, he just take control on a Fighter Jet! He try to shoot missile on them! This show is no joke...
A military themed episode? I'm sure my grandpa (my mom's dad) would know all of these military references because he did serve in the Air Force. So he is a veteran. He served from 1974 to 1980. (If I remember correctly. For the record, 1974 was the year he graduated high school. My mom was born the same year he graduted. She was only one month old back then.)
Love this episode so much but it has the most glaring plot hole to me: how did Jeremy get to a location so far away in one day that it takes 15 minutes for a fighter jet probably moving close to top speed with XANA in control to reach the factory? Like it couldn’t have taken very long for him to get to the lift off site and you know XANA isn’t going to waste any time getting to the factory before they can deactivate the tower lol.

Love this episode so much but it has the most glaring plot hole to me: how did Jeremy get to a location so far away in one day that it takes 15 minutes for a fighter jet probably moving close to top speed with XANA in control to reach the factory? Like it couldn’t have taken very long for him to get to the lift off site and you know XANA isn’t going to waste any time getting to the factory before they can deactivate the tower lol.
Xana will take advantage of any situation to get rid of any of the Lyoko Warriors.

Xana could have easily just Kamakasi'ed the fighter jet with Jeremy in it, and it would have been all over for the Lyoko Warriors down the line. Xana not very smart.
Xana probably wanted to make sure the factory was blown up so it shot a missile to make sure the plane had an easier time.
