I really enjoyed watching you make it- please do more videos like this!!!!
Great job, Fran! You had some good, useful tips, too. It’s great to see the whole process from beginning to end.
Fran I loved the quilt top. It's a shame you aren't going to show the finished quilt on TH-cam for those of us that aren't on social media.
Keep an eye on the TH-cam "Shorts" tab. Thanks! Fran
Finally, a sew along video! I have waited and waited for this. I just love watching the process live. The little hints along the way are so helpful. Thanks for doing this, Fran. It gives me the confidence to try. I sincerely hope you will do more. You are a masterful quilter, and I really enjoy watching you work your magic.
Thank you! Fran
I enjoyed your tutorial. I am a strong believer in classes and tutorials. I quilt with a group who range from totally new quilters. I suggest often the “newbies” take a beginner’s class but others tell them it’s not necessary. I think your tutorials might be a good way to get instruction without a class. I will be suggesting they watch this! Our group is already “hooked “ on y’all’s patterns! Thanks
Thank you, Nancy! Fran
Fran, I love that you showed everything to make a quilt. I am new to quilting and am getting ready to make my first quilt. I’d love to see more like this. Thank you so much.
You're so welcome David! Glad it was helpful 🥰
In all the times I have watched your channel this is the first time I have seen you sewing the quilt. I loved it. I like watching the quilt come together . It shows how easy it comes together and makes me want to do the quilt. Thanks. Hope there is more in the future.
Loved this tutorial! It was so helpful! Please do more sewing tutorials!
Thank you for this video Fran! For me, as a beginner, it is SO helpful to watch you cut and sew, and also to learn from all of your valuable tips! Thank you again and please keep ‘em coming! 👍😊
Glad it was helpful! Fran
Thank you so much for this and all your tutorials. I am very new to quilting and having a well organized work space is fantastic. You make it look so fun & easy. I try not to miss any of your tutorials. I am learning so much from you. I am sure this grandmother will never do a bed quilt. I will for sure do picnic mats, throws, mug rugs, table mats, toppers and placemats and many other smaller projects. Thanks for all your advice and ideas. ~m
This is my favorite episode! Can you do this more often?
I would love to see more videos like this! More patterns, different kits.
Fun to watch you sew a quilt top! Great tips for baggies and labels. Thanks Fran!
Watching from Edinburgh, Scotland at 23.50 p.m. Love all the great programs you bring to us. Many thanks.
Love watching you sew this quilt. I hope you do another one soon.
Loved watching tutorial. I purchased a few books of 3yard quilts , but I do better watching than reading . Thank You ! Beautiful quilt 💕
Glad it was helpful! Fran
Love visual tutorials and seeing the variety of color options for the quilt.
I like this format!
Love this format! One pattern. Many different colors. Plus sewing tips!
This was the first pattern I made a couple of years ago. For directional fabric I mostly use Bold Blocks, Suite times and Tic Tac. I had my charity quilt group watch this video to help them avoid most mistakes. Excellent video. Liked the clear explanation of chain piecing strips on the sides of blocks.
Fran, I just have to say, you have me fired up to get the book from my shelf and to get 3 yards of fabric from my stash to follow along.
Thank you so much for doing this video!! I find it really helpful to see a process❤ I so hope you keep doing these tutorials. The information/presentation was just right with heaps of helpful information. And I LOVE the floral fabrics you showcased, especially the first set❤❤❤
You are so welcome! Fran
You are a gem Fran, you are so patient and calm as you work through your pattern. Labeling bags writing on note cards with directions then putting the unit number it a smart idea. I learned the importance of chain piecing along with saving on thread. I have been sewing \quilting a few year's. I wear my Kermit the Frog shirt or dress while sewing cause I rip rip rip out a lot. I need to slow down. Thank you for sharing you video today. Most informative video I have watched from your shop. I have three 3 yard quilt books and made my first quilt from the book with the turquoise & purple quilt on the front. That's the Quilt I made. I sew at our cabin and crochet it home. I have donated to our local NICU since '07. Thank you Fran you've the best!🌼🌺🌼🌺
Thank you! Fran
Such a great video! Love that you open the seams! First time I’ve seen binding done that way. Thanks so much,Fran!
Loved seeing you do the sewing. It was just the right amount of talking. I have never seen binding done this way!
Glad you enjoyed it! Fran
Great job, Fran. Yes to more sewing tutorials with tips and tricks and suggestions.
You got it! Fran
Love this style video. Absolutely love watching you cut, sew, and explain how to make the quilt! I would really like more videos like this PLEASE ❤
Loved this, loved watching your process, I am going to press my seams open on my next one and see how that works for me. Again gorgeous quilt!
Awesome! Fran
I love watching your tutorials and your material selection
I loved this video when it first came out and I have added some of Fran’s tips to my own sewing. I now have sent it on to a friend who has asked me to help her start quilting. This will give her a good idea of what is involved. More of these please!
Hooray! Thanks for sharing, we are already planning another one!
Loved it. I also put my binding on cardboard roll. Then place the roll on a thread stand so it stays off the floor as I apply the binding to the quilt
Great tip! Fran
I think it is great that you did this video. I hope you make more. Maybe next time give more details on what you are cutting & sewing.
This was a fabulous video. I loved watching the whole process. Your organization of the cut pieces and the blocks is something I plan to use when I make my next 3-yard quilt. Thanks, Fran. Please do more videos like this!
Thank you so much! We are working on more! Fran
I cut and put pieces in a ziplock bag. I also liked to watch you sewing. Do you press every seam open?
Love you and your fabric cafe family!
Fran, you did an excellent job on this instruction video. You explained well, video visuals supported well, nice vocal energy. Good tips for assembly voice overs. A+ work.
Love your help to those of us who are getting older and minimal handling the fabric is necessary. I draw on your tutorials to inspire and get my quilts together.I’m 83 and need all the help you give. Thanks again♥️♥️♥️
You're so welcome! Fran
I enjoyed seeing the process from start to finish❣️ I also liked seeing the pattern in several other fabrics. Nice job, Fran.
I absolutely loved watching you put a quilt together ❤️
I made almost that exact quilt, the blue was the exact same material, my first ever start to finish pieced quilt. Donated it to a fundraiser in my area. Your step-by-step instructions made cutting and piecing so easy. Thank you!
Great job Fran! You seem to enjoy the process.
My next quilt is this pattern for my nephew who served in the Army. I loved your tutorial and watching you create it. I loved the hints, specially about leaving the salvage on until you combine your strips. Very handy hint.
Thanks Fran. I enjoyed watching you sew the entire quilt. Love the idea of bagging each section. The fabric you chose was beautiful. Such a bught, vibrant quilt. Thanks again.
It was lovely watching you sew
This was fun!! Thanks
👍👍👏🏼👏🏼 it was cool watching you put the Quilt together, nice pattern. Lots of tips n ideas for us to use. Great job Fran 👏🏼👏🏼🥳
Thanks so much! 😊Fran
Loved watching you make the quilt. I would love to watch you do that again. It really made it look easy
Nice to see you do this.
I'm always worried I'm doing something wrong 🧘♀️
Love watching you see it, it looks gorgeous, looks so easy
Yes do more tutorials since they are instructive rather than just showing fabrics
I really enjoyed watching you make this quilt! I hope you do more videos like this!
Enjoyed watching your process and watching you put it all together. I’d never seen the ‘economy’ binding you prepared for the ‘finishing touch’. Something I’d like to try. Thank you Fran😊♥️
I don't know that binding technique either.
I’ve never did a binding like that either but I’ve seen videos explaining how they do it. Seems really easy and looks nice when finished.
Awesome! Thank you! Fran
I love your 3-yard quilt methods and this quilt specifically! Thanks for the great videos! I'm hoping to find some very beginner-friendly tutorial videos. I need basics to make sure I'm not missing something, lol.
A fantastic tutorial! It was so much fun and inspiring to watch! The quilt turned out so pretty! Please do more of these! Thanks, Fran!
I enjoyed very much seeing this tutorial and all the other fabric options an their images. Looking forward to seeing more these
Wonderful, Fran. Lots of great tips and tricks. I want that pattern and I will make it carefully, the way you have taught. I have watched it several times already.
Great tutorial. Love seeing beginning to end process. Please do more like this. ❤
I would love to spend a day seeing with the team at Fabric Cafe!!! Great video Fran ❤
Love it! I like the idea of pressing seams open.
So much fun to watch, and excellent tips on using sticky notes to keep track of where you are at on the pattern..
Great tutorial! Thank you for doing this type video & I hope more will be done in the future. Beautiful fabric choices for all the kits today. And I was so pleased to learn that I'm not the only person that presses my seams open & uses Best Press on all my seams.
Good organizing hints, thanks!
Fran, Thanks for the Tutorial. I love seeing someone else make a quilt to see if I can pick up on some helpful hints. Please do some more tutorials. I would love to see one on half square triangles..
Great idea! Fran
Loved watching you make a 3 yard quilt. I love this pattern and now am excited to make one. Of course, I have the book it came from. Thank you
Omgoodness!!! I LOVE❤ this pattern and these fabrics make it POP! Enjoyed watching your quilt process.
This is the pattern I have my eye on! I have the book! Thanks for doing that for me! Mine will have a large floral sugar skull for Focus 1 (black background). I have a piece with the black background with much smaller skulls for Fabric 2, and a pink will be the third fabric (background). For my granddaughter. Excited!
I have made the first quilt in that book very successfully.I’m now making this one I think your books are amazing thanks
I loved watching you do this. It was helpful to just see the process.
Fran I love the process you showed throughout the video. I do everything you did except for a few extra organizing tips that I must start incorporating!! loved the patriotic, bouquet Christmas and floral quilts. It also showed us that any quilt you pick with the different fabrics will make a variety of themed quilts. I also love that I have that book. I will definitely have to make one of these quilts. I love sew a longs videos it’s so inspiring and so eye opening makes me want to sew. I have always made labels and I think I need to make the labels and reuse them for the next 3 yard quilt. I have some labels made but I’ll make the unit ones so I can add those to my already made labels for the pieces. Also I put the blocks/pieces in ziplocks so that everything is labeled and sorted. It makes it so much nicer to keep everything organized and ready to sew even I I can only sew for a short time. I like that by watching I should make a label for xtra fabric so I can keep it in case I make a mistake. Thank you for all the wonderful tips Fran.
I loved this segment. I hope we see more of you seeing. It shows how easy. I’m going to try this pattern.
Don't know how to do that type of quilt. I love the patterns. But I have to stick to what I know when making quilts. My opinion. My Grandmother and Mom showed me how to make quilts. I'm just old fashion. I quit my quilts with yarn and I tack them with yarn. I hem them different. . I don't use binding. . But I love you guys quilts. They are Beautiful. ❤❤❤❤❤
I tie my quilts, too. We do what we can and love to do, but it is fun to see what others do, isn't it?
Enjoy your videos. Have 3 of your books and will be making one soon. Thank you.
I would give it a shout you might like it.
Loved it. I’ve never seen binding folded like that. Would love to see a video of how you bind with that.
Thanks!
Wonderful video. Really appreciated how you showed us your organization techniques with the cards and clear bags.
Very nice! Great granddaughters will Love it in the Frozen fabric I got!
Really nice seeing you cutting and sewing your quilt.
Most helpful, Thanks, Fran.
As a visual learner this is great!
This is a great idea! I hope you do more. Only thing I do differently is measure for the borders, center two at a time and sew them on. That way it’s squared up as i go along.
I really enjoyed this segment. I hope that you do more like this using another great pattern.
That's the plan! Fran
So nice of you! Love it! Thank you🤗🧵🪡
I’ve made several quilts from your books and I’ve loved them all! They are so easy yet make such an impact! Looks complicated yet they aren’t. What’s not to love?! 💙💞
Beautiful fabrics, loved them all. Thanks for sharing 👍❤️😊
I am going to make this from the kit I purchased from you. I love 3 yard quilts. Directions are very clear and its easy for me to make.
Enjoyed watching you sew and all the tips that you shared
I learned a lot from watching you cut, that salvage tip looks easier than moving the a large piece of fabric around. Also using Best press when ironing seams, brilliant!! Thanks so much
I loved this video and please make more like this! 🥰
Thank You for this NEEDED tutorial Hugs
Enjoyed the video. Fran, you should do more of these. Really enjoyed seeing that you drape your border strips around you neck too. I also do that when I am attaching the binding. Great job! Thank you for sharing.
I hope you don't loose your border strips like I do. I forget they're there sometimes. Thanks! Fran
Love to watch you sew the pattern!
Loved watching your video! Would love to see more videos like this! Thanks!
Loved this. Please make more.
Please keep making the sewing videos.
I love the video. Please do more. It helped so much.
Yes, I loved watching the quilt construction. More please. Thank you so much for this video 😊👍💕
More to come! Fran
This was such fun.
That was a really helpful video! Thank you, love to see more like that. It's brilliant seeing the same pattern in different styles of fabric, very inspiring!
Excellent tutorial. Please do more patterns from your books.🌹
Love the live demonstration Fran. The quilt is beautiful too. I have the pattern, but haven’t decided on fabric yet.. excited to make this one now I see it is easy enough. Thank you and hope to see more tutorials soon. 😊
Always love these and they seem to be beginner friendly. Thanks for sharing.
I have never pressed seams open but after watching this I am going to try it on my next quilt. I love how flat your top came out.
We LOVE it!
Last summer I did almost an identical quilt! Gave it to a veteran! Love it’s a snap!!!
Yes, I loved watching you sew!!!
