    I have just sorted out my dies and I used a magnetic sheet to cover the bottom of DVD/CD plastic cases. Looks good and easy to store. All I have to do now is label them all. This idea is great if you have cutting dies bigger than the plastic cases. Thanks for this idea.

    You are amazing at laying down the duck tape even with a guide. I have the hardest time getting it right! Then you layed the duck tape over four holders and they didn't even move or try to sneak around. I look forward to learning more and more. Thanks from Atlanta, GA

    WOW WOW WOW, This is the best die storage solution I have seen yet. I have a ton of the plastic document holders and a couple of the plastic bins already so I don't need to buy anything. Thank you soooooo much for sharing this amazing storage solution. Right now I have my dies in old photo albums that had the photo pockets but it gets very bulky very fast. I like your idea so so so much better. Again thank you thank you, thank you. PS I just started to make my pouches and I changed up the tape, I am using clear packing tape and I have made some very pretty tabs for labeling the pouches. I have cut card stock to insert in each pouch and on the reverse side I pot small magnetic pcs or strips for the dies that have small pcs. So far it is working beautifully.Thx again honey.

    Hi Ali, They are great sleeves, I have done this with my larger dies and used document wallets, cut them in half on each side of the press stud and taped them together and inserted cereal cover with pattern paper and magnets to hold them in place, for my smaller dies, I have purchased small photo albums, inserted cards stock and magnets, only used one side of the page and the other side I put in samples of the dies on paper, so it dose not get to bulky! I have 2 of these and it's handy when I go to my sisters place to craft, I have all me small die with me, very handy, I don't know how long it will last, have only had them for 4 months, and it is CHEAP, sorry fore the long rant, TFS, Cheers Anna.

      Like the idea of small photo albums for travel. Great idea. Initially i tried by WRMK fuse tool, but this doesn’t work as well as the duct tape. Any thing for a cheap good work around i say for us crafters. Lol I looked into purchasing die pockets, but they can end up expensive, especially with the amount of dies i have. Lol I love reading your comments. Crafty hugs Anna. Xoxo

    Hi Ali
    Do you have a laminator? If so you can make these bags very easily in various sizes without taping up the sides. You buy the cello type card bags which are very cheap to buy, laminate them and cut them with guillotine. You then cut off the top of the bag and it opens it up.

    OMGosh, Ali, you have the BEST tips! First, that basket with all the dies must be really heavy! Is that your weight training exercise? Secondly, I have to let you know that I've unsubscribed from most of the "heavy weights" I used to listen to, such as SSS, Jennifer McGuire, etc, just because it got to be too much. They use what's new and trending and, if you follow them you'd spend a fortune in stamps and dies to try to keep up. But I've kept your channel because of videos like this. Love your ideas!

    • @CraftyAliConfessions
      @CraftyAliConfessions  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks heaps Janet. I totally agree with you. Sometimes i feel with the bigger YT channels its all about the new expensive dies and stamps. Theres no way that i could buy a lot of these also. They also never respond to your comment. 😔 I believe crafting is for everyone, and if theres ways of helping others craft cheaply and economically i’m happy to share. Also i love creating and sharing some inspiration. Thanks again. And i’m glad you are a subscribers. Crafty hugs. Xoxo

      Hi Natalie, i got these from Stacks here on the gold coast. Its a cheap dollar store sort of thing. Other stores up here is overflow, bargains galore and choice discount store. Not sure if you have these stores in Canberra, hopefully you can find them. Im also going to office works next week as i think they have them there, but there $20 for 100, cheaper still, but i don’t really need 100. Lol xx

    How do you manage not to have duct tape sticky spillover? The last time I used duct tape to make seams on pockets, stuff inside got stuck and sticky. It oozed out too, and pockets stuck together. Or is that just caused by Midwestern humidity? It certainly looks good and affordable.

    • @CraftyAliConfessions
      @CraftyAliConfessions  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      HI Amy, We're pretty humid here on the Gold Goast. I haven't had any drama's with these at all. I am constantly looking for dies, and they are roughly used also. Maybe it's the type of Duct Tape? The duct tape I use is from the Hardware shop. It's a great way to store dies, and believe me, I've got a lot of dies. LOL Crafty Hugs xoxo

    Thanks for sharing this video Ali. It's really useful. Kmart sell the document holders but they call them letter files and they cost about $2 maybe $3 for a pack of 10. They only have clear ones though. I would love to know where you buy the magnetic sheets. They seem to be reasonably priced in America but not here in Australia so l'm hoping you have found some reasonably priced ones here. ☺

    • @CraftyAliConfessions
      @CraftyAliConfessions  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Cheryl, I came across the cheap shop "Stacks" has them, but I think there still pricey. $2 for an A5. I did come across an A4 size for $2.50 in the same shop, but they sold out and don't seem to have gotten any in since. I agree, America seem to be reasonably priced and we seem to pay through the nose. I'm use the sheets sparingly, TFW Crafty Hugs.

      Handcrafted by Ali thanks Ali. I don't think I have a 'stacks' store near me. I have found some on Aliexpress but I'm not sure how strong the magnet is. I think they cost under $2 a sheet though. Have a happy crafting day. 😊

    • @CraftyAliConfessions
      @CraftyAliConfessions  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      sally bryant g’day. We have a few types of dollar store shops that sell scrapbooking supplies and they have the magnet sheets. Adhesive one side so you can stick it down to Card stock. If I remember, you have pound and pence stores. (I use to live in the uk, just outside of Chester.) I found that magnetic sheets at craft stores cost 4 times as much and are smaller than the cheap shops. Also I have used L or P plate magnetic sheets. (Can’t remember if you have these there, when young drivers are starting to learn to drive, do they display an L on the car? Hope this helps. Crafty hugs. Xx

      @@CraftyAliConfessions I just found your channel and am really enjoying it! I love your homemade die pockets! I was wondering about how you store the different sizes of envelopes. Do they each (bag sizes) have a separate basket? The basket you showed appeared to have only one bag size. I can't wait to try this. I am using the Avery Elle pockets, which are a bit pricy. BTW, my son in law is from Chester, born and raised! But my daughter went to school in the UK 9we're in California.) She came home with a fiancé. They have been married over 25 years, and we adore our son in law!
