  • Russian authorities have threatened foreign companies that are withdrawing from the country with arrests and asset seizures.. that's according to the Wall Street Journal. Coca-Cola, McDonald's and Apple have closed stores in Russia. Procter & Gamble, IBM and others have halted exports to the country. Over the weekend, Russian President Vladimir Putin said he would favor putting firms under 'external management'. The Russian government has allegedly threatened to also seize their assets, including intellectual property.

Most companies have just withdrawn and abandoned their operations for a limited time, to begin with! And they are assessing the entire situation, initially it’s only temporarily but they have to see if Putins war on Ukraine is going to take a prolonged period time, and how fast Sanctions would be lifted!
The reason a few of them have just permanently abandoned the Russian market is because the sanctions that are in place, they can’t operate or produce anything at their factories, amazingly enough is the reason the Car factories are being shut down is because part of their supply chain depends on products made in Ukrainian factories!
The Russian government can threaten all they like about seizing foreign companies assets!
Well they can’t run and operate the factories and businesses. Because they don’t have any of the components and etc!
Also if Russia does that then there are no way any company would invest anything in Russia if it’s leader can just confiscate it, also that spells trouble for Russian companies around the world. As they would likely be confiscated in retaliation!

it's not as easy as just cutting ties - you have to find new suppliers, new markets, or else you're just shooting yourself in the foot. And when your own economy is down, it drives up pro-fascist sentiments in society (much like in Russia itself).
And with Russia being the largest supplier of natural gas, you *have to* find a different source, which means someone else has to ramp up production, except producers would rather not do that, instead choosing to benefit from increased prices.

Inflation mixed with recession mixed with scarcity of products and commodities...
Warfare tactics to weaken nations to accomplish Foreign Policy agendas include sanctions against nations and entities, as well as, instigating uprisings to incite civil wars that interrupt global trading...
Once there are interruptions in global trading there can be individual targeting of countries...

Using rice instead of wheat will also be a major change, but what else can people do, but find substitutions...
Protesting can only change the situation when 60% or more of the population rise up, yet, 1 million people can definitely make a change...
Yet, the entire world would need to rise up, but it still will not change what is happening, which is a trade war that started during ex-president Trump's Administration against the Chinese Government and the sanctions against the Iranian and Venezuelan Governments have also caused inflationary prices for goods and commodities around the world...
Now it is a trade war against the Russian Government, but look at its entirety and how the American Government benefits, but the American citizens have not benefited unless they have a stock and bonds portfolio following the trend of world events that lower and raise prices...
