I am listening again and again to such a wonderful interpretation with so much feeling and intensity. Many, many thanks Miss Halperin. Also thanks to TNI for sharing it.
I thought this man was going to sing, but then I understood: This work is complete as it is. He did the right when he was standing there, and just listen to this fantastic performance.
Interesting. I used to a quicker tempo, but rather than dismiss out of hand I sat listening intently to this interpretation. I am finally getting over this idea that once I have heard it one way (typically the first hearing) then all other renditions are "wrong". This is wonderous and provides a beautiful and heartfelt reading of this arrangement. Bravo!
Softly, tenderly….it does bring me to memory the very last paragraph of The Dubliners from J. Joyce…and his description of the pale soundless snowflakes downing on the countryside in Ireland.
Such a beautiful performance... Listened to it last some two years ago, and then rediscovered it. On a by the bye: The gentleman is her husband, renowned Countertenor Andreas Scholl, with whom she often performs.
A beauriful and very sensitive interpretation of this piece. It should be mentioned that Johann Sebastian Bach did this transcription of the piece for harpsichord. It was originally written as an oboe concerto.
This piece of music is for me one of the best i know, everytime im loosing my emotional balance, but this piece is in balance from the beginning to the end, why is it like this?
He is her husband. And by the way, he is a German countertenor. He probably sang a moment earlier during the concert and a moment later. So he stayed on the scene.
The man who is standing there is her husband Andreas Scholl, countertenor He also is amazed and deeply touched by her interpretation. They often do concerts together, this video must be an extract of one. ..... i love their art of music🥰espacially J.S. Bach!
That's great. I'm a fan too but I hadn't seen recent images of him. See what I mean - he's changed a lot since he was younger? They're a nice couple. I've seen videos of him explaining how his voice works. He seems a very nice person.
It appears that he is getting ready to be accompanied by Tamar, as the video ends - probably a singer. It's probably a concert of brief pieces, a few of which might be played solo by Tamar.
The man is Andreas Scholl - one of the world’s greatest countertenors. He’s married to the pianist; she’s been accompanying him and is now playing this as a solo.
The man is star singer Andreas Scholl. I was accompanying him on the piano in a voice recital. This piece in the video was just an interlude of solo piano between songs.

So many wonderful ways of performing this piece. Tamara's did not disappoint.
Held my breath all along... Thanks for this interval out of time...

Tamara's tapered hands teasing the tempo to a talented crescendo, terrific. Taaa
Wonderful. This is perfect.
Impressively slow... Beautifully performed! Thank you so much, Mrs. Tamar.
ditto
What a great touch and intensity! Her playing just takes my breath away
Bravo!
This is really a unique interpetation! So modest and delicate is her playing, and the ornamentation is a pure bijou. Thank you!

Sublime performance, great tone and very special feeling during the whole piece. Bravo!
Sehr schön gespielt 😊

I very much like this slower tempo.

Gaps n silences between notes can be transformative too
Beautiful! A beautiful piece of music rendered with such love, thank you.
Very very remarkable and beautiful interpretation! Outstanding!
From now on I will play it this way.
Me too, Walter!!
A marvelous interpretation - thank you!

I can listen to her hands all day.
Magnifique duo. ;)
Plus sérieusement, magnifique interprétation.
Perfection. ❤

Such a beautiful performance... Listened to it last some two years ago, and then rediscovered it. On a by the bye: The gentleman is her husband, renowned Countertenor Andreas Scholl, with whom she often performs.
I've literally just seen them perform together, this evening, in Dorchester (UK).....sublime!!
A beauriful and very sensitive interpretation of this piece. It should be mentioned that Johann Sebastian Bach did this transcription of the piece for harpsichord. It was originally written as an oboe concerto.

Fucking amazing
I love this interpretation so much - could anyone tell me where I can get a recording of Tamar?
This piece of music is for me one of the best i know, everytime im loosing my emotional balance, but this piece is in balance from the beginning to the end, why is it like this?

He is her husband and a famous Counter-Tenor singer, his name is Andreas Scholl
Wonderful interpretation; I tried to find out why the man is standing there (;-)
The man who is standing there is her husband Andreas Scholl, countertenor He also is amazed and deeply touched by her interpretation. They often do concerts together, this video must be an extract of one. ..... i love their art of music🥰espacially J.S. Bach!
@@nicoleviola9009 Thanks for your explanation! Love it, too.
Slow like this, it seems to scream “loss!!!” It is beautifully sad.
Very nice but I wished she used the pedal more
Why is called Marcello/Bach?
Why is that man standing in front of the piano?
I don't think it is He doesn't look like Andreas enough - maybe an older cousin with 20 lbs added. But if you have evidence...
Actually, I've watched some other videos and I think you are right! We all get older I suppose.
That's great. I'm a fan too but I hadn't seen recent images of him. See what I mean - he's changed a lot since he was younger? They're a nice couple. I've seen videos of him explaining how his voice works. He seems a very nice person.
Thanks. That's a very pretty video. I heard they live in a little village - I hope this is near where they live.
I didn't know that. How wonderful - great musicians, a good place to live, each other and a family too!
Molto difficile far cantare un pianoforte. Qualcuno quasi ci riesce.
Why is that man standing there?
This man is her husband, Andreas Scholl, a German countertenor.
meanwhile... the guy on the side, thinking "so this is what a 5:th wheel feels like"..
I disagree.

Sad
Es triste o romántico? Porque esto es como estudiar un personaje .
What about the man in black?!?
i think he is Andreas, her husband.
A off day for Bach if it is authentic.
un de Andreas steht da einfach rum oder was :D
Why is the guy standing there? Is this a masterclass?
It appears that he is getting ready to be accompanied by Tamar, as the video ends - probably a singer. It's probably a concert of brief pieces, a few of which might be played solo by Tamar.
The man is Andreas Scholl - one of the world’s greatest countertenors. He’s married to the pianist; she’s been accompanying him and is now playing this as a solo.
He's the caretaker, waiting to shift the piano off stage at the end.

A bit too slow, I guess.
she does not understand the connection between the chords--right hand very nice...

...a very lovely performance, all the more so, by the delicious tempo.... the bodyguard is unncessarily distracting, however well-meaning...
Why is there a man standing there
The man who stands there is Andreas Scholl, a Contratenor singer. And, he happens to be her husband.
The man is star singer Andreas Scholl. I was accompanying him on the piano in a voice recital. This piece in the video was just an interlude of solo piano between songs.
What is this guy doing there?😆
That guy is a world famous CounterTenor Andreas Scholl and her husband
He will take her to hell if he is not satisfied with her performance. The only chance...

Why is that guy standing there? I kept waiting for him to begin an interpretive dance.
This is Andreas Scholl, a famous countertenor. Probably, they were performing a piece together just before. (And he happens also to be her husband.)
😂
What is that man doing there?Bodyguard?Just passing by?Cheking everything ok?
Lacks passion...and inspiration

Horrible
Horrible? Such a beautiful piece, nice interpretation... what makes this “horrible”, care to explain?
Vous êtes sourd?
