SO pleased to see the young-bloods doing their thing. A real breath of fresh air from most of the bovine excrement you hear on FM radio today. These guys have a unique sound and a real propensity towards greatness. Tasteful mix of rock, jazz and FUSION, that gives you a surprise at every turn. Nearly impossible to label.
I've never heard of these guys before, but holy hell am I glad this showed up on the "how about you watch this next" list after I listened to some New Mastersounds. These guys are amazing, and this is a stellar recording.

@@rob_visual I think it's all subjective and we should just say "one of the best", just like I think Lotus is still one of the best bands still in the scene today ,even though I literally haven't seen the Biscuits in years, I'm sure I probably should, I saw them quite a few times in 09 and everybody seemed to agree that they were way on the top of their game that year but I kind of drifted away from them when Phish came back. I should probably check them out again if I get the chance. I've always loved Lotus, just saw them for the first time in a couple years last Sunday in RVA and Lotus is ABSOLUTELY still killing it to this day, holy smokes it was actually an incredible show, my 17th time seeing them and wow they still really impressed me the other night. Just like I also think TAUK is one of the best bands in the scene right now as well, they are incredible I mean come on...

OK how many of you are actual musicians? What are you judging on? Music is so subjective someone could say Barney the dinasaur singing I love you is the best. And they'd be right haha for them anyway. Though if you are judging purely on musicianship, originality, difficulty to play, most innovative song writing, pushing music forward. Guys as a musician of 25 years I can tell you Tauk has them beat. Just in quantifiable ways that is.

these guys are easily the best insturmental band in the scene. got that special taste that i lust for very tasty 10/10 big props to the taper.

Snarky puppy is my favorite group of any genre, of any time period in my life since i heard sylva. 46 years old. BUT, my heart has the ability to love soooo many bands. Today I learned about Tauk and am blown away and will fall down their rabbit hole.
Saw these guys on Halloween for my first and was blown away at the musicianship and cohesion on the stage. They all seem to be having so much fun up there. Love the sound keep doing what feels right

Caught Tauk for the first time last year at The Mad Tea Party Jam and they where as dope as the dope I was trippin on!! Fuckin killed it they did!
The whole band works so well together, but I’m blown away by the percussion. Dig how the drummer is up front with everyone rather than behind the band. I love watching him.

They are a really great band only just got into them and enjoy them as much as Snarky Puppy. Loads of jazz fusion references in their music i.e. Larry Colton, Return to Forever, tribal tech ....... love them and Isaac Teel (drummer) is the tits.
I wanna hear some tauk remix. like some dubstep remixed in. wub wub wub wub wub wub. lazer sounds and some hip-hop beats added. have a guitarist on the side shredding and a jazz keyboard doing its own thing all in sync with the music. Have a man and a woman singing like their stoned out of their mind just random lyrics that sounds like it doesn't make sense but it does if you read it to yourself. out of no where a synth that electronic sax thing just starts playing to the music
It's impressive sound that you get without patching into their board. You're using the LSD2 with the Zoom(s) & phantom power? Again Great sound! It would be great to see you use a couple of GoPro cameras mounted on the stands or necks of the guitars. I've done so and the results are fantastic.
Yes! And thanks! Yeah that would be fantastic, but there are enough people doin that already... Not my thing. Maybe if I were getting paid... A 2nd person doin just the audio would help. Its tuff enough to man 2 recorders, set levels and video with one camera in a sold out capacity crowd with people bumping into you and spilling beer on you... The flip side you dont see that I have to deal with...

Thanks man! Once you get a spot, you have to stand your ground and stay cool. That's one reason I don't drink when filming. No joke...I have lost count the amount of times I've almost got into fights with people that are intoxicated and what not at some of these shows...smh
Nice job. As a former taper myself, those are the things that drove me away from taping shows. After doing it for a long time I grew weary of putting up with the drunks, DACKs and people who stand 1 foot from you and scream WOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! in your ear and mics. I haven't taped a show since at least the mid 90s. I don't even like putting up with them now even without my gear. Glad there's someone out there willing to put up with this shit to make a good tape. Never heard of Tauk before but saw that they are on the upcoming list of shows at a nearby venue and I was intrigued by the name so I went on YT and did a search and this popped up. Good shit man, thanks for doing what you do.

Great band, great music. Sadly most of their albums are such ridiculous prices. £65 - £70. That is beyond my pocket. I should think it is beyond most peoples pocket.
