Remember that CAN bus wires are very prone to EMC/EMI from anything. Especially at higher baud rates. So have them shielded and twisted according to spec.
Many uses patch/ethernet cables (shielded of cause), which is quite ok in many cases

    • @typxxilps

@@gelisob modbus has some recommendations which were not that true cause growatt said 15 m, but in reality some have already achieved 125 m and up to 800 m should be possible. Not sure about Can Bus, but it depends on your configuration cause usually batteries run can bus for the car and inverters tend to use modbus , even though Growatt offers CAN BUS too, but a different dialect.

Bad idea. Chademo cable costs 1400€. For that price, you can buy a 15kWh battery.

@@DalasEVRepair oh I see , it's not possible to make something that turns the port on and converts to ac 240v . I was watching your video using an old leaf battery as a power wall , was hoping I could keep the battery in the car and use it like your power wall. I'm finding now the car has 121000 miles it's down from 30kwh to 20kwh or so , atleast that's what leaf spy reports . What do you think of the VW e-up ? I'm thinking of either upgrading the leafs battery or buying a car with bigger range. If I do that leaf could be power wall . What you think

Does anyone know, some Inverter have two battery inputs.
Are these realy two independent ports?
So is it possible to connect one with an conventinal stationary battery ( like BYD etc. ) and the other one, with the battery translator on an Leaf reused one?
