Excellent informative video! 👍🏻🎅👍🏻 After extensive play, it was discovered that the rules need 2 modifications to make them better reflect the first-hand accounts of the battles: Artillery - the area a battery may target should be three base-widths wide (one either side of the actual battery base or total bases in the case of a Grand Battery); Cavalry - Infantry in square do not have to have DIS to enable a charge; Cavalry can recover all DIS (the idea of "blown" is an oft repeated mechanic originating from the 1970's to reduce effectiveness and shows ignorance of the period, cavalry and horses). Implement these and you will find the game more lively and enjoyable.
A wider artillery area sounds interesting. 🤔 Should try this out. In case of cavalry I have some doubts. But I check this out too. Thx for watching and your suggestions. 😀
Hm... "General d'Armee' is very good for solo players as uncertainty is bild into the mechanic. SoN has some drawbacks because of the card system, but "D&S:LB" is near "General d'Armee". Depends mainly on your type of play. 😉
