We can remember the HECU for two things, one the horror of humanity trying to cover up its mistakes but two, they along with Freeman gave Xen a bloody nose that day and showed we weren’t going to go down without a fight
And then 7 hour war happened

Of course he's human and may dislike the Transhuman rule over Earth, but...just saying, if you wanted to logically spin forth the animosity towards Gordon, he'd be better suited among the UU/Combine, maybe unaltered.

Finally, someone made a HECU edit that is actually composed of original animations instead of just reusing clips from other people. Damn good stuff.

Gosh, this is so cool. The animation and scenes are wonderful. And I really like how many of the vehicles (Like the Humvees, trucks, and Apaches) have transparent windows, and you can actually see the marines / crew inside.
The HECU, even though they lost at Black Mesa, still fought hard with everything they had.

Impossible, since the only option is to kill the nihilant in order to stop the invasion, wich led to the combine knowing the existence of earth.
The only best scenario is the
experiment that caused the resonance’s cascade was stopped.
There is no happy ending
There's a theory that the US government assumed that headcrabs were the biggest threat in Black Mesa. They knew what they were capable of but didn't know if the crabs could lay eggs and keep them incubated while their host was alive.
Hence why the government ordered all BM personnel killed.
And risk the USA Gov being embarrassed internationally? They would rather the whole world die than that
HECU already used most of black mesa tech and still got almost completely wiped out, it's a nice thought tho
Assuming the Black Ops don’t also get sent in to make a mess of things? Then yeah they probably could have. Still doesn’t save them from the Combine though.

when operation black mesa comes out, I highly advise you swap the shock trooper and the gene worm models for there higher quality ones, overral this is insanely underrated, especially what the hecu looks like fighting xen
