I have been doing dumpster diving for almost two months now and got myself a lot of things, I have donated to the Dog Shelter 12 large and small bags of Dog cat and Bird food i have donated Clothes and other gadgets and i sold a cat tree this morning to a lady who wants to come out dumpster diving one night with me but i made my first $20 yay me !!!! Thank you Steve and Steph i wouldn't have done it with out you both with your encouragement and i am just thrilled. The only way now is up. Thanks guys

Sueme did a experiment with oven cleaner to remove paint from ceramics, it worked flawlessly. Denatured Alcohol works on those shiny book covers to remove sharpie markers too!
I saw a comment about Jerry. I did not know he had passed, so sorry for your loss. He was a sweet dog. I used to dumpster dive in Milwaukee Wi years ago, cleaned the things up and donated to people I knew that needed them and couldn't afford them. I don't know what the laws in FL are but miss doing it. You guys get along so well, my ex hated it when I did it. But he sure liked some of the stuff I found. Good luck with your finds!

Yes, I’m doing lots of exercises now and getting stronger all the time. It will be a year at the end of this month cents I had my spinal fusion. All is well in Ammon ID, my oldest grandson got married in September. So fun to share in their Joy.

The only items if I were dumpster diving would be clear stamps, dies, copic markers, cardstock paper because I'm into making cards to send to family and friends. Love watching what you might find. Live in the mountains so my entertainment is watching, cheering when you can save the items from going to the dump and pray everyday that you don't get into any legal trouble or I would be sad. My dad used to work at a dump and used to bring home like brand new in box stuff and like MRE's and stuff. I always thought he was crazy but now I'm like wow that was a gold mine.

But for God's sack be careful sometimes I think you will fall in head first. I love you donate the things that's left after you give your family and friends want they can use. But I haven't heard you mention donation to homeless shelter's or places like my sister's house. It's sad we have families living in cars and shelters but these place are in real need. They actually give the donations to people and not resale them like good will. I will donate to the thrift store that all money mad goes to take car of dogs and cats care and rehousing. Just a thought. You guys are great.

My daughter has every single one of those books that come with the mat and toy characters we used to go to Barnes and Noble every month and she would pick one or two of those until she had them all we would pick out her books first so she had something to focus on while I took forever trying to decide what books I wanted for the month lol unless I was reading a series I could stay in that store all day !!!
There is a very good reason they found the lost and found in the trash. A store or business will only hold lost and found for a specific time frame....then they just THROW IT AWAY!
Oh my lord, my mom used to get her sunglasses by walking up to customer service and saying I think I lost my sunglasses can I look in your lost and found box and she look at any pair of sunglasses she liked and say oh those are them! 😂😂. She would do the same on rainy days if she had to walk home from the store and forgot her umbrella 😂.

And furniture polish removes those pain in the butt stickers and residue and magic erasers are great too.

The Lion's Clubs take prescription glasses and then they are refurbished and sent to people who need them, usually in poor countries overseas
