I like how it's Sam that picks Tartt up and has his back when the other player lunges at him. It's a great subtle character development from Sam's earlier episodes.
Very few tropes hit me as hard and make me as weak as the one where the main group of characters start out collectively loathing one other character, only to end up running over themselves to protect that character from harm.
Honestly bottle job of a free red card right there. Easy yellow if he goes at him after the one he just got.
Their relationship came a really long way. Them squabbling over the captains band after Macadoo left the game was fun to watch.
I love what they are doing with Jaime. It’s ok to be an asshole (sometimes), Ted lets players lean on strengths.
In Jamie's case, it was Roy Kent.

on the pitch, as a striker, you have to be an asshole. you're there to score, not to make friends. good teammates recognize and respect that.

@@baileygamez I’ve seen every episode 3 or 4 times each, and the two things aren’t mutually exclusive. Mentors often fit into a father-coded role while not actually replacing said father, and that’s definitely a facet to their relationship. However, their bond defies definition. Ta!

100% correct. I kinda saw Nate's small changes but his reaction and big twist in character at the end of season 2 was still a WTF moment on my first watch. But after rewatching it, you start seeing all the small subtle details they add in and it all makes sense!! Especially when the show is all about how small changes can lead to big impacts
Look I get it, but it wasn't a complete shoving, they were losing, It was Roy's idea what Jamie did, so it is natural that Ted will go to him. Didn't he hug Nate when Nate came up with the idea.
I blame Nate's dad for this, he undermined Nate that he now always craves for attention n to b best n noticed. It was Never Ted's fault. He regarded him as equal.

I love how much Roy knows Jamie, and it’s purely because he understands the game and what it feels like to be on the pitch. You don’t know that pride until you are in their position. Roy is a football legend and Jamie is on his way to become one. I love football and football really is life for those guys.

I love the fact that both beard and Nate doubt Jamie for completely different reasons but they are both in character. Nate doubts him because he resents all that Jamie put him through and beard doubts him because it is an insane shot. On the other hand Roy, who has played with Jamie knows that he can do it.

I can suspend my football disbelief to a certain extent, but to the point where the spurs goalkeeper goes from a black guy to a white guy is beyond hilarious/idiotic. Maybe because it's spurs that it doesn't matter..
I noticed something was off, besides the keeper being way too far off his line, rewound, and yep, hilarious.
Becoming an EPL goal keeper takes years of training and dedication, but to combine with chameleon abilities is truly remarkable GO GREYHOUNDS!!!

It's called fear bleaching, Jamie's penalty kick is so scary that's what happened. If the keeper had been white he'd have gone completely translucent.

They pan to him giving a weird look. After episode 7 released, I think we’re about to get a bigger plot line about it all.

kind of funny that one of the rare moments of Roy smiling is him smiling at Jamie and not just Jamie but Jamie being a prick.

Yeah, I'm a die hard and wasn't expecting it to be a fucking documentary. I got exactly what I wanted, which was a good light hearted comedy show half related to football. People complaining definitely didn't watch as much as they said they have, because they'd notice 5 seconds in that it isn't for them.
