There's a point in these movies where a villain or group of them needs to say Nope, not staying not worth it. You see a girl kick someone almost into another time period, or bullets dont work, or things start flying around....heck if eyes tirn bright.... You run!

For those wondering why the thugs were worried when the girl was on the roof while they were beating up others is because initially they didn't come there with the intent to kill. They simply wanted to beat them and force them(the family) to submit their property to them(the thugs). Which is why they were worried, also, these thugs aren't professional killers, they're all bark and no bite.

I hated this movie when I first saw it, probably because I went in with the wrong expectations (I wanted a Lovecraftian-esque, existential horror/sci-fi. I forgot this is a Roland Emmerich film). I've given it another chance since then, and its grown on me. Yes, the acting and script leaves *A LOT* to be desired, but the ideas were interesting and the action was fun, despite feeling tame compared to Emmerich's other films. I'd put it in the same guilty pleasure vein as The Core. It falls apart the moment you start thinking about it, but if you sit back for the ride, its very entertaining.

It’s got to be the most unrealistically stupid movie ever made, but if you leave your brain out of it, it’s kind of fun.

This movie is a dirty pleasure. Forget science, forget physics, forget common sense and its quite good.

I see nothing wrong in here, talking about morality when he help the king but instead praising him they start to mass murdering his people and killing his family his loved ones, what you expect in return?? An eye for eye💅🏻

@00:18 “…got to turn on the electronics…” Yeah, because he was pulling a stick and stepping on pedals, all connected to cables that moved ailerons, rudder, etc, like a biplane from WW1, because that light blinking on the rear had a monkey with a switch, because increases or reductions in thrust were done by opening manual valves while figuring out the proper mixture as he turned the valves. This movie had so much potential, but the amount of stupid statements challenges fantasy beyond its limits. It is as if cowboy movies went back to six shot revolvers firing 100 rounds without reloading. Viewers expect better detail and better acting today.
