WIRL Snowplough trials Jan 2025

Grandson Jordan has wanted a snowplough for quite a while. So the WIRL PWD team downloaded some files, fired up the 3D printer and assembled the WIRL SP001. The files came from :trainmodeller" on Thingiverse. See www.thingivers....
Unfortunately, the snow has come and gone before the assembly was finished; however a quick acceptance trial showed it would push leaves off the track and it didn't stumble over anything.

Its not too late yet, still chance of snow, winter is far from over.
A great video, good to see and hear that loco, and the snowplough is a real best of a thing, that will really clear the snow away, Excellent video

@@ianwm A good railway will always be prepared, and we have had snow at easter before now, so you never know

Let's hope no more snow comes along. No-one wants to deal with further train service delays.

@@kellyashfordtrains2642 our grandkids are desperate for snow - they live in Malaysia and came for a white Christmas but had to make do with scraping frost from the grass.
