Example, you don't see advertisement of a Rolls Royce or Rolex or other luxury brands on TV or random internet sites but everyone knows their value and status. Exactly what i have been doing for years. I always write down the names of perfumes i am interested in. Then go into the shops and try a few at a time and see how it goes. Then write on my notepad app, putting a yes tick on the one i like. I then go back to the store and do a second trail of the one i like (sometimes spray it all over my body). By the third time i am ready to go for the kill.
Great advice!! I hardly watch reviews though as everybody has different opinions as you mentioned. I do take my time before making a purchase. I DONOT use this method with ROJA Parfums as they are so Brilliantly and beautifully created that each parfum is a #masterpiece... SYD.
what I have found out is, the best time to smell a *dry-down* of a fragrance is right after waking up, it smells crystal clear at that very moment and you know it right away if you like or dislike it. it happened once accidentally to me with Dior Homme intense. smelling at my wrist at the spot where I sprayed it. it smelled almost different, like 10 times stronger. maybe because it is the first thing you smell for hours. so the perception and the olfaction are reset, and way more sensitive.
I took Mr. Dove's advice on looking up reviews online.The first sample vial I ordered is still my all time favorite. 100 samples later and I've discovered many wonderful creations, but not 1 of them quite as magical as my first pick.
@@MemoTraining That's a fair point. What good is it if you can't smell it? On my skin it works very well. It's reserved and intriguing. To me it stands by *not* being loud.

a method that I use, much more useful, is to buy 2mll testers, and at home I have time to discover any perfume! I have over 4600 miniatures in my collection..
Personally, I cannot try fragrances in public. Even without pushy sales people, doing it in a store is way too stressful for me. I rather buy sample sets online.

Boy oh Boy; yesterday while at Neiman Marcus, I was introduced to Roja’s moisturizer it perfume gods sent me a good one!
Roja simply put, one of the ways that I find a perfume is find what notes work best with your skin , then begin to look perfume and sample.
