Bit of an older video, but BIG swimbaits is a serious addiction! Try throwing the 8" Hudd ROF 5 as a wakebait..rod tip up & reel a little quicker...could give u a heart attack when a 4+ smokes it
I haven't got the Huddleston yet but I bought a 6th Sense Glide 130 to try my hand at hooking a mondo this spring. I have no personal experience with the gint swimbaits but I remember Tactical Bassin's video where they said that you have to fish it painfully slow in these cold waters.
Oh yeah man. Glide baits sound like fun but something that takes getting used too. I really want to try and get a biggun on a swim bait too. Just need to keep grinding. Good luck with that glide bait!
@@RABassin Thanks man! Tell you what. I got a challenge for you. I'll race you to a 5lber or bigger on our respective baits, you the huddleston and I the glide bait. First one to film themselves catching a 5lbs bass with them wins.
When I saw the Hudd in your thumbnail I was like ohhhhh yeahhhh!!!! Its definitely a grind out when throwing them. It just takes time. Fish painfully super slow and throw it in productive areas. I like that you were dedicated to throwing it. That's what it takes. Keep grinding out there!!!
I've been trying to use big swimbaits and glide baits more myself recently, it's a grind no doubt! I've got to work on my patience as I'm too quick to swap back to some sort of finesse tactic! Good video man!
Yeah man the setup I use isn’t technically put together for swim baits but it does work. For reels I would look mostly at Daiwa and abu Garcia. They make some great larger reels for swim bait fishing. I don’t know much about rods but I’m sure Tim is right about the Dobyns rods. Tactical bassin is also a great channel to look at if you are doing any research in fishing gear. Good luck man 👍

Appreciate it man! I just can’t stop thinking about the giant bass in that pond just slamming that bait.
I just started using bigger swimbaits in the last year or so. It is addictive knowing that you can land a giant at any moment. Good times 👍
Yeah man. I’m still looking for that giant haha. Very nerve racking!

Yeah man it’s tough throwing that thing waiting for a bite. Thank you!
🔥
What setup do you use for these big swim baits? I’m trying to get into it but I can’t figure out what to get
The Dobyn's Fury line is fantastic and they have a dedicated swimbait rod. It's a great dollar to performance rod and a great place to get started.
