    A great way to quickly and easily do both maintenance, and even an upgrade on your car is change out the air filter. The OEM paper is fine, but a better quality filter can be an improvement plus is good for the lifetime of your car!
    Lots of great brands out there, but after some research the BMC filters for my M2C seems the right way to go, and is an easy install!
    This is something you can do very quickly from home and everything you need is listed below.

    Great instructions. I found the interior few T25 screws on the filter case NEED an extension for the driver to get to them. I taped the socket to my extension with some electrical tape to avoid dropping the socket into the engine. Those deep screws grab onto the socket when it's at the slight angle needed to work them loose and don't want to let go.

    Thanks for letting us know what to do. For what it's worth, my 2018 m4 comp has 6 bolts up top, all the same size.

    The way you're moving the entire intake pipe and talking about 02 sensors making this job way more than it really is

      Very little.if any difference from just the air filters. It takes different intakes to really change that.

    Is the charcoal filter also a preventative maintenance item? How many miles should one be good for?

    • @BMWDIYGuy
      @BMWDIYGuy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Technically you never replace the charcoal filters.. I actually took mine out! 8)

    I have a 2015 228xi that I want to change the air filter on. There is a rubber coated bolt dead center of the engine compartment that I have to access to undo The air filter compartment. I can’t seem to figure out how. Any suggestions? Thx
