- Seven years ago, a local marine served alongside Mally - a bomb-sniffing dog - in Afghanistan. Mally looked after her handler, Nick Montez, and Montez looked out for her.

All Military Dogs Should Go With The Handler After Serving Our country period , the Government should never take them away from one Handler to another.
🇺🇸 You got that right!! If someone in the Defense Dept. says there isn't money to train a dog for only one tour, present them with a list of all the really stupid, wasteful things the government does with our money. If you need help with the list, put out a call on social media for suggestions. Wrenching them apart and then making them wait 7 yrs for a reunion is inexcusable!!
Agreed. It might shorten the life of the dog if it chronically misses it's long time handler.
Shame on the people that wouldn’t want to reward the soldiers and his longtime companions in war.
So glad he found his dog
YAY for Mally the Marine!!!
She is a beautiful dog God bless her and her handler
It's a beautiful reunion.
Thank you for taking her home
Once a Marine is always a Marine and that includes the dogs. Many of those guys might not be alive now if it weren't for these gifted animals.
Read this Christmas day. Cried so sweet. Thank you military and military doggies
Give thanks, everything works together for good.🤗🙏👏
Bless all of our soldiers the wonderful dogs who served in our country.
What a wonderful story!
This is a very very kind man to try for years to adopt this dog. Also very honest. This dog will get the best care...Love and good thoughts to his family and new fur sibling for his daughter!! Good Americans!! Love from Canada.........
Thank you!!! God bless the dogs!
These videos make my heart smile, so happy for these veterans!
Thank you both for your service. You rescued her.
And she rescued you. It's been five years and she was eight that would make her thirteen I hope she is still with you and your family.🙏🙏❤️
Thank you! I love reunion videos of military working dogs and their handlers. She deserves a great retirement too!
God knows when to answer prayers, im glad he reunited with his doggo
I'm so very happy for you to get your dog back with you now and I love the story
Wonderful outcome!
I’m so happy that they both got what they deserved. I’m so pissed that the government asks so much from our military men and woman but they can’t find a way to get these dogs back to where they belong. The government wastes millions of dollars, the resources it would take to get these these working dogs as well as the dogs our service members find while serving oversees that give them a sliver of normalcy and peace, would be less than a drop in a bucket.
Sweet story 👍😍❤️👏👏👏👏👏
Dogs be able to STAY WITH YOU SIR AND THANKS FOR YOUR SERVICES AMEN 🙏 🙌 👏 ❤ THANKS 🙏

Beautiful,q thank you both for your service. How is it going at home?❤❤❤❤
😥👏👏👏♥️♥️♥️♥️
I want to bring my pup into the Army with me but I'm thinking they will want to keep her when I return.
There not going to accept your dog. The service dogs were born with plans to become service dogs. Not all dogs make it to the line of duty. There is no way you can bring a privately owned dog into the marine corps at least.
@@Justin_Cp3 I have heard of people who did & even spoke to people who did bring their own dog in but i was told i could not after i made the above post. I'm actually glad it worked out this way because guys told me how hearthbreaking it was to leave your partner behind when you could be coming home to that friend that just wants to be with you, regardless. Thanks for the feedback bro.
don't do it, they're jerks who will separate you guys. :'(

Totally agree
Leave them with family at home
Happy here.
you all suck for separating them! >>>:( but such a cute dog and story.
Shame on the military that wouldn't let this war hero have his dog. Way too long to wait. I am glad he has his furbaby. She smelled his scent and knew who he was.
🙏❤
💓💞💖💖🙏🙏🙏Amen! As it should be

I think miliary dogs should retired along with their handlers. Pretty sure most of their handlers want to adopt them. Let them retired together. Working together for so long especially in such hard circumstances make their bonds stronger so it's sad to break their bonds . And most military dogs still work with other handlers after their first handlers retired. That's just sad . They deserve to be dogs too. To live life like normal dogs , playing with toys, sitting on couches, being with families
They should put exact timeline on how many years a military dog should work. Maybe 5-8 years tops
😂 a wonderful story!!
