You misunderstand cards lol. If you get a yellow or red card it means you BROKE THE RULES. That's why they also got fined. But that being said it still was a clever strategy.
It’s called being smart. He found a loophole in the rule and he took an advantage. He didn’t tell both players foul opponents intentionally. He just played a tactical move.
It can be done again, but only if in an easy group. Get the red card from the 1st game. Using tackles not time wasting. If you get caught you still play the round of 16 as they can't give you 3 game ban. 2 game ban and a fine is the least punishment
When we are reading some documents that contains terms & condition section, we either just read through it once or may completely skip it. But with Mourinho's way of working, i think he read that section at least 10 times.
Why were they punished extra for getting deliberately booked? Last man or 'cynical' fouls, 'normal' timewasting just gets you a yellow and no extra fine afterwards, but they're all definitely deliberate as opposed to a failed attempt at the ball.
Because there are also a rule in the UEFA and FIFA laws that mean they can fine clubs, coaches, players etc. if they bring miscredit to the game. This was deemed as miscredit as they very purposely wanted to circumvent the intention of the rules. The rules has been changed now so if someone tries this again and it is deemed you on purpose tried to get a red card you will get a 2 game suspension.
is it unsportsmanlike? sure is.. but considering there is no rule breaking its all on FIFA for allowing Jose to be smart and play around the rules. count have gotten his players to do fouls and risked the opposite team safety.
To those saying "there's nothing in the rules, it's just a loophole": not entirely true. This isn't the criminal law of a country and general unsportsmanlike conduct can be fined without there being a specific rule (e. g. Article 52 of UEFA regulations, similar passages are in place elsewhere). So actions against the spirit of the game (which is not sharply defined) can be fined. Also this wasn't the first time something like this happened, in Germany in 1991 Frank Ordenewitz got intentionally red carded for the same reason: to sit out his ban during an unimportant game. The coach's order "Mach et, Otze" (dialect for "do it, Otze" - Otze is a nickname of Ordenewitz) has become a well known expression over here.
What bull------ .He would never tell his team players to get Red Carded. You should just stop spinning Bullcrap about us. Champions League 14 here comes 15
It's not really cheating and atleast they didnt go for fouls instead.
that's not look like breaking any rule he just found a loophole..😂
like if you agree..🤗
It is against the rules tho, that's how they could be fined

@@tacostastegood3720 so everyone who gets yellow or red card pays money afterward?
@@prabowonegoro3693 red card always. Yellow card sometimes
yup @@prabowonegoro3693
It's not cheating. IT'S A GAME PLAN!!!

The new rules prevent this ever happening again 😂 If the think you’re doing it on purpose, they suspend you for 2 games

The new rules are counter productive. Instead of time wasting, players go for aggressive tackle which will likely cause injury.
I love José Morinho

This is amazing xD just pure brilliance
This is like a "sweep the leg" moment
This man is freaking bananas
Chelsea didn't need 'dirty' tactics against Liverpool, Gerrard did all the work for us that day
Lol
i dont see a problem lol it’s just a loophole
True special one... breaking UEFA rule 😂
Rules are rules. Exploited them to his advantage
Its not Hose, its Jose. The man constantly says it himself, JOZEY is portugese and HOSEY is south American
HOSEY is Spanish/Latin pronunciation. JOZEY is Portuguese...
Ramos began annoying Suarez before he even joined Barcelona
Worth it
it was playing by the rules. if uefa disagree on the tactic. dont make such rule.

How do they get fined? The rules are the rules

@@michs342 how would they rule if it's on purpose tho. Seems hard to monitor if they don't make it blatant like Ramos and alonso
Shouldn't have been fined. Bending the rules, not breaking them.
El bicho: tf I want another goal
lmfao
All these fines, over 150k euros…where’s all that money going to?
I literally just asked that same question seconds after counting the fines
Goes to fifa
Blatter's and Platini's pockets...
They could have broke some legs to make it really worth it, without getting fined.
I met that referee in school today
That's absolutely not cheating

Better call josé
Btw did they win the ucl that season?
Nope
Probably he bet some money on red cards
why didnt he just dont play them in the last group game?
The cards would still carry over
@@Jose-im1ch 👍
That aint cheating, unfair fifa
Why didn't he just not play them in the next game?
If you get too many yellow carda you cant go to the next game
Someone please explain this to me

the fine was not enough, they should've been suspended for one match in knockout stages, because that was the purpose of the red cards.
