- You’ve seen me rebuild the worst team in Scotland. You’ve seen me rebuild the worst team in Wales.
Today, we will take a trip across the Irish Sea to rebuild Cobh Ramblers.
They’re a Semi-Professional club from County Cork that were founded in 1922 and currently play in the Irish First Division.
Notable former Rams are former Manchester United Captain and treble winner Roy Keane, former Manchester City player and Irish International Stephen Ireland, who came through the club's youth system and Westlife singer Nicky Byrne who had a spell at the club in his youth.
The Club won Irish football’s second tier in 2007 with a record points tally but were subsequently relegated the following season.
However, after suffering relegation from the League of Ireland Premier Division, Ramblers subsequently failed to obtain a licence for the First Division due to financial constraints and so compete in the Newstalk A Championship (Ireland's third tier).
They gained promotion in 2011 and have been in the first division ever since.
Our goal today, take this team to where they’ve never been before and beyond as we try and make them the best team in Ireland.

Interesting to see Cobh ramblers who are currently are in the play off contention this season. Went to St Colman Park this year to see Cobh play my local club. It was an unbelievable away day.

@@HoodGamingUK yeah in FM24, they will be in the first division after being granted the licence. The club has had good attendances at home, definitely something to build on for next season. There’s a mural outside St. Colman Park in Cobh as you walk in. You can make a day trip out of it. My partner and I went to the Titanic museum and they had market on the street too because it was a bank holiday.

really reminds me of my FM21 save with Cork City. Did the exact same type of transfers and also signed an ex man city goalkeeper in Muric. Ireland is a good league to do a save in due to its relaxed rules on foreigners

Couple more ideas for these "worst club" ones:
England: Dover Athletic (their story is pretty interesting, they got done by trying to survive covid without incurring the debts that most National League teams did)
Scotland (again, with a lower league database): Fort William FC
Bloody Dover, had one of the worst games of my career there when I was a club media guy

Definitely possible but how do I decide who is the worst overall?
I tried to do a save with PSNI in northern ireland but it looks to be impossible,i literally had no budget or staff and the only players who i could sign were 1 or 2 star youngsters (all free loans with £0 wages)who actually did quite well because i came 5th when i was fully expected to come bottom of the league,i had no staff whatsoever i couldnt even afford an assistant manager,i was in the 3rd tier and i just couldnt see it working,even if i got promoted to the 2nd tier i couldnt see my getting to the premier division,then i started a new save as Cliftonville and dominated for 2 seasons,i even got to the europa league groups where i lost all 6 games and i had about 10 mil in the bank but i could not turn the club professional because it seems impossible for Cliftonville,the option never was in the menu despite my success and riches,then i restarted again as larne because they are already professional,dominated for 2 years and then all my players turned on me for not registering them in europe which i literally couldnt because they signed after the first game so i couldnt register all of them,these players ruined my whole club and then i just quit 😂btw.i still play on fm20
can you do a rebuild on hereford fc they were giants then the club disappeared in 2014 and a fined club was created in 2015

I always do a one team Ireland Road to glory because there’s no registration rules. He can bring as many Brazilian Wonderkids as you can attract.

You should rebuild the worst team in Poland (in FM23 terms): Sandecja Nowy Sącz
They were in the top flight for the only time in 2017/2018, but got relegated finishing bottom of the league. In 2022 they almost made the promotion play-offs, narrowly missing out by 3 points, but had an awful 2022/23 season where they finished dead last in the second tier and went down into the third division and they aren't doing much better there, they lost a lot of key players and are now in last place in the 3rd tier with just 2 points in 8 matches and they remain the only team in the pro leagues without a single win.

The relegation promotion how its done in Ireland should be used in England with the prem and championship would stop a lot of pointless teams like Luton and Sheffield United going up just to get instantly relegated in first session completely pointless lol just keeps bigger and better clubs like Leeds and Leicester out that are way to good for the championship .
Is Kerry not in FM23(couse they are at bottom of the 2nd tier in Ireland right now)

@@HoodGamingUK Lisburn Distillery, find themselves in the lowest league in NIFL. Years ago they where always competing in the top division and played Benfica and Barcelona in the European cup.
If you want a true challenge, you can do, with a custom database, a rebuild on Brazil's side Ibis. Their nickname is "O Pior Time do Mundo" which is portuguese to the worst team in the world. Can't get worse that that haha
