Start out by making your mouth into a small circle like you’re going to blow at something, but instead of blowing out air, what you’re going to want to do is blow in while acting like you’re going to make your voice higher pitched. With enough practice, you should be able to produce a whistle-like sound that you can then try and modify into different notes. Making up my own method of whistling music like this has been a real treat over the past few years, even I’m still not very good at it.
This was actually composed by Mahito Yokota, who did most of the Super Mario Galaxy music. Funny thing is, the composer didn't even think it was all that great but Kondo loved it and made sure it was one of the main tracks.
