I've always had difficulty indexing spin vanes accurately and apparently that is critical for accuracy - saw this video last week bought (from Archery Supplies) a "The Wing Thing" - for the first time I've got a set of 12 arrows all indexed perfectly - such a simple tool but works great - now to try the new vanes this weekend (Pandarus Vanes)
Putting the tape on the wing in the clamp I find the hardest part of using my Wing Thing. It's still far easier than just using a Beiter style tri liner for marking the shaft and then having to align the tape on the wing with out any guide. The clamp has that nice straight edge on it to help get good alignment of the tape. I have to wear my most powerful glasses and have a nice bright light source on where I'm working to get the best results, it's just getting old mate.

I put the tape on the vane first before putting it on the clamp, then I tear off the tape cover before clamping the vane to the shaft.

Does this jig work for Spider Vanes, too?
Hmm, this looks practical, now I just have to find a place that has it.
Your "glasses" 😂 it's like complaining about not winning the lottery....... Well buy a lottery ticket then you will have a chance. 😂😂
