FIXING JBL FREE - Left ear piece not working (how to)

- This video explains how to fix the left ear piece of the JBL Free wireless earbuds not working.
Make sure to disable the bluetooth feature of your smartphone e while attempting this fix!
First turn off both ear pieces, by pressing their buttons for 8 seconds.
Now turn on the left ear piece by pressing it's button for 5 seconds.
Then press the button 3 times quickly. The ear piece should now blink in blue and white.
If this is the case, now turn on the right ear piece by also pressing it's button for 5 seconds and then press the button 3 times.
After a few seconds the two ear pieces should now be connected and you can hear audio on both sides after connecting them to your smartphone.

It is normal for only the right earbud to work during phone calls.
My problem is with the right earpiece. I tried your method, but it keeps flashing white and blue and not switching off

@@arqcv1062 Actually, my left earbud was broken again a few months later and I couldn't fix it. I sent it to JBL's technical service, and they agreed that it was indeed broken and refunded my money 😞 Since then, I've been using Oppo Enco Air and I haven't had any problems so far. Don't buy JBL earphones, folks.

Man same! My left ear piece’s light doesn’t even come in in the charging case and it has all of a sudden stop working on the past 24 hours. This trick hasn’t worked. Only had them for just over a month

Emil Arhén TE19 Herrgårdsgymnasiet yeah, I mean that the battery in my right earbud was busted when I received my headphones and I had to send them back to get a replacement, if the right one is broken like that then neither of the headphones work
Did you ever find a fix? My left light won’t turn on at all and won’t pair with the right so it doesn’t work. It pisses me off.
Josh Lynn I haven’t, theyre still in a drawer collecting dust but I’ll let you know if I find a fix!
Josh Lynn there isn’t a fix, the battery in it is busted. Mine arrived that way so I was able to return them and get replacements. If you can’t do that you’ll have to open them up and replace the batteries

I can't believe I am writing this but one of my ear piece (right one) didn't worked.. all magnets in case were ok but that right ear didn't wanted to charge.. I tried everything - connecting multiple times, cleaning case etc.. and I really thought that they are broken until I tried this - THANKS SO MUCH!!! It worked :)
I have the same problem, the right one does not turn on, when i put it in the case it turns white for 15 seconds and goes off, if i remove it does nothing, if i press the button it does nothing ☹️ i tried this but when i get to the part when turns both on, the right one wont do it

After 3 trials, my left earbud came back!
Both of them start blinking blue and white but they dont connect, this method used to work, but now the left earpiece disconnects more often and it doesnt work anymore. Any tips?
Try resetting your device (smartphone) after doing this procedure. That worked for me.

My problem was that it was only connecting with one side of my earbud at a time, whenever I try to connect the other side it disconnects the connected bud.
But now both side of bud is connected to each other.....

The issue was with the right one for me. I followed the same process but starting with the right earbud. It took me a couple of attempts but it worked!!

I bought the JBL Free X and then sunk my right earphone in the water. Then I bought 2 new JBL Free X. That means I had the 2 working headphones and one useless. Today I sunk my right earphone in the toilet and with the help of your trick I was able to connect the useless left earphone with the leftover right earphone! 😂 I love you ❤

I thought they were broken I returned my first set, had these new ones for over a year now and then last night the left stopped working like the first pair, thats how I found your video looking to see if anyone had this problem got suspicious when it was the same bud as before, now I feel bad for sending the first pair back now that I know they werent actually broken, but at least I dont have to buy a new set now I'm really happy cause they are very nice ear buds

Are the pins the charging cradle stuck, so they don't make contact with the earbud?

Nitaa my right bud isn’t working either, however audio comes out of the left bud, and when i get a call, the mic works, but no audio!. I think is just a bad, cheap product!
